For quite some time, Lauk's outlook on the scale from black to white was quite orange. But then, he was insane.

we'll be perusing the adventurer's purchase table a bit... Not that it is relevant (for Lauk), but will you let people purchase stuff from the armor/weapons tables (mundane stuff, mind you)?

Could we have some high-quality leather pieces (used for his spellbook)?
If so, how much gold to cut off? Trade Goods table (page 157) should probably be useful to estimate price.

I'd probably say 12sp per sq. yd (cut into strips) for high quality stuff and half that for medium quality.

We found ourselves a Spell components table, then copied it and adapted it to specific classes, just to have a way to keep track of things...

All I can see is a D&D campaign from this and nothing else. Change my mind.

Right so! I want everyone to come up with one event that happened during a recent adventure that the whole party experienced.

This could be as big as an adventure they did together (e.g. scouting the tomb of a Naga Queen), working for a specific group (e.g when the Regiment of Khan paid them to scout the nearby forest) a specific trap or puzzle they solved - or didn't (e.g that time we all had to run from a giant boulder and Jhimas held up the gate for us to get by), a moral choice they had to make ( do we purify the poisoned well water that prevents disease to stop people becoming partial plant-creatures, thus killing the terminal good-hearted orphans?) some cool magical thing they experienced together (traversing the magic storm and gravity stopped working so we got to swim through the sky) or even just bonding during a campfire moment or attending Carl the Adventurer's retirement do.

No need to overthink it, it's just for fun, grounding the party in the world a bit more and having some things you can reference if you want to.

Then I want each player to come up with an individual interaction with the character directly below them on the rooster.

So for example, Lauder will recall a moment between Aurix and Jhimas, Duskshine will recall a moment between Jhimas and Lauk, and then whoever ends up last on the CS tab will recall a moment with their character and Aurix.

This is just for fun and you don't have to do a full collab or anything like that, just a couple lines even would do. Feel free to discuss ideas if you wish, but this should just be a small exercise to build some rapport.

Also feel free to develop relationships or flesh out how/when you joined the party if you want to. I'm not holding you at gunpoint, and if we go into IC without anything hashed out yet I can come up with a reason you guys are all together without knowing each other that well.

Anyway, sheets are coming together nicely. Thankyou for your patience so far, everyone. Won't be long till we get this show on the road ;D

When the group encountered the Drow raid, Lin was part of the drow force as Sool.
She did however turn on her “brethren,” relishing the chance to assassinate drows.

It was Ardour that noticed her shifting both in stance and in looks, and he advocated for her when the party nearly turned on her.
It was because of him, she had joined the party, rather then the drow pile of bodies.

For that, she was indebted to him, a debt not yet paid.

She had bought him several times the ale for the evening, when they reached the safety of taverns.

In some cities they hat stayed, she even helped him with her changing abilities, to enter into some private gatherings, for him to gather information he was seeking.

If I understood the rotation correctly, I should have an interaction with Atanase as well, but I don't know anything about him yet. So I might need to wait to see the sheet first, unless you'd like to give me a quick summary, @Cao the Exiled?

Also as a heads up, I added purchases with my gold to the sheet, I hope it still checks out.

Sorry about that @Vertigo, Um, not much to say really. Atanase is monster hunter all around, though he specializes in Lycanthropes and Vampires. He's extremely reclusive, the group would have hardly conversed with him even after two years. All of which is due to a traumatic event in which his twin was killed by a rogued member of their Bloodhunter order. Atanase is not even of this plane actually as he hails from Ravenloft. Anyways, I think the best way the two could interact is either they met hunting the same creature or yours was drawn to his sister's spirit which haunts him.

We're still quite flexible about when it would be appropriate for Lauk to join the party. any thoughts from you others?

@Ellri Double door that's 10ft high to account for some of the taller races I imagine. If I was a good GM I should probably dissuade you from trying to ride a rowboat down the shaft to the dungeon.

the most useful mount in a megadungeon would probably be something like a steeder, not the really neat elephant or such.

How many daily rations have people stocked up on?

@Lauder You can buy mounts. I don't know how you would get that mount down into the dungeon or if it's a good idea but maybe we can put it in the imaginary rowboat?

In all seriousness though it's highly likely the mount would stay in Waterdeep which would mean it may not have much use mechanically. You could bring it into the dungeon with you and if you can solve the logistical puzzle of that, along with some rolls, in which case it might be very useful. Or maybe if you'd roll badly it'd fall to it's death.

Character sheets are basically done, people are finalising their inventories, we've still got a couple relation/backstory things to clear up but we're almost there! IC is prepped for launch so once we get those things sorted out we're good to go.

I would prefer everything was cleared up before the IC launches but if not, don't sweat it too much. The absolute deadline for finalising is the start of the dungeon delve. So there will be a little of IC-get-situated time before then. Once the first character reaches the dungeon level, inventories are locked in. You can still work on backstory stuff throughout the adventure, of course. TBH I got itchy trigger fingers so my sincerest apologies if I get overexcited and start the ball rolling before y'all ready /sobs

Final thing to mention, the IC Post starts in the middle of the tavern. Lin has grabbed a table for the group. You will each have a room in the tavern as well. Please describe a little about your day (if you've been out and about in Waterdeep, how long you've been hanging out at the tavern, drinks ect) and preferably by the end of your post the character should be in the Yawning Portal tavern, either at the table or nearby.

Rolling works the same way as we did for stats. If you want to roll for something, do so in your campaign window you made and name it something handy. Please link the individual roll numbers like this (though I can go a-snooping if you forget):
