Page 143 at the start of the equipment section if you want to refer to specific things

Feel free to break up the gold amount you start with into different increments, I would actually recommend it

@Mae so the individual interaction for our characters can be at any time? Because I just gave Lauk a good read and he can't stand the smell of fish so I'm imagining something where when Lauk first meets Jhimas they'd probably get off on the wrong foot.

Does that sound like something that might happen @Ellri?

@DTHar@Lauder I hadn't thought about inventory in depth, tbh, I'm so used to having parties start at level 1 recently:

- No healing potions
- No antivenom
Max 1 Alchemist Fire Max 2 Acid

Sorry if that messes anyone up who has already bought stuff

@DTHar Nope, 2 vials of acid max I'm afraid

You can bring a horse or a rowboat however

Or a combination of a rowboat covered in acid with a horse in it, so long as it's two vials worth of acid :D

To answer the question I missed, sorry:

I'm just doublechecking where people are at with the ready check. There's one sheet with small adjustments but it's just adding details from the book so it's ready, mostly the ready check is to make sure everyone is emotionally ready for this rollercoaster of the dungeons and the dragonings

Don't want to launch the IC and have people get sp00ked because they feel they haven't got enough information of what's going on with the party prior to this module

I'm pretty sure everyone's happy to start but online it's always best to doublecheck

A bit of skepticism bordering on dislike of the triton could form the basis for some interesting interactions, @duskshine749.

Oh! I had Antitoxin. No sweat, I'll just swap it out.

On that note though, can we have poison? Cause I was eyeing some of those, and with the Antitoxin money refunded, Ardour might go for some of that.

Also, is Truth Serum okay?

He carries some suspicious shit, I swear.

The next few days are going to be a bit hectic, but I think I'm otherwise ready to start. Gonna fine-tune the inventory based on the answer, and working on the interaction with Cao atm.

Oh, one more question! He's proficient in Alchemist's Supplies, but I didn't buy that for him (yet?). I'm wondering if I should - what would he actually be able to make with it, and does it require other items? How long does it take to make things? I've never actually used one in any of my games, but I was supposed to pick one Artisan's Tools for him, and that seemed like the closest fit.

@Vertigo I have some more indepth homebrew rules for Alchemy but I need to review them. In the meantime here's some lite ones:

Alchemist Kit uses Wis or Intelligence

You can craft either during downtime or during the delve -
Alchemist Kit -
1 hr - Materials cost 10 GP (or found) - Acid
2 hr - 25 GP - Alchemist Fire
2 hr - 25 GP - Liquid Ice
4 hr - 50 GP - Pus Potion (4d4 Poison)
4 hr - 75 GP - Bomb (1d3 Fire)
Higher rolls may mean cheaper material cost or improved quantity/quality of product.

Herbalism Kit also has some nifty things. Just sayin'

I have more indepth rules about sourcing materials and what they can be used for with more customisable potion types but it will depend if you guys wanna rock with those or not.

Ooh, I see, thank you! So then, let's say I wanted to craft Alchemist Fire during the delve, for example. I'd then probably need to buy the materials in advance-- so when buying the Alchemist's Supplies now, would I add that 25Gp cost to the base cost of 50Gp? Meaning I'd pay 75Gp now and then have the materials to fix up Alchemist Fire later on (if the rolls bless me omg). Is that how the costs work? Or is the cost something I always pay at the time of crafting?

I'm sorry for the dumb questions omg.

There's so many different tools/kits that basically require proficiency but give no source for that outside customized backgrounds or DM's choice...

@Vertigo Not a dumb question at all, as @Ellri said 5e is a bit light on info like this.

Pay for the cost prior to delving into the dungeon and make a note of the total cost next to your alchemy supplies, then deduct the amount when you do the crafting (bearing in mind rolling well might decrease the cost and vice bersa). You may also find things like, (x GP amount) of alchemical supplies as loot during the game if we're using the lite rules.

If we use the more in depth rules, let me know and I can tell you specific ingredients you have to hand/find and you can make more customisable potions. But then we wont use flat gold values, so you'll have more specific options and control over your concoctions but it'll be less straightforward. (e.g. I combine the Wild Sageroot with the dried Ephedra that I've preserved in my Ingredient Pouch)

Also kind of unrelated I feel like I should be flooding the dungeon so you all can use your nifty underwater breathing skills. Like half the party is pretty comfy in a water environment.
