That may be the case, but are you going to be playing as her or her clan? Obviously they can be NPCs under your control, but nothing that matters in this new state of the world is really addressed. If her clan has survived, then so be it. But have they even survived at all? Are they doing well, have they suffered losses, have they been wiped out?

If her duty is also to her state then she has two solid reasons to not exist in the western regions where the roleplay is currently focused. As I am left to understand it; you would be alone in a currently unfinished part of the world. I can hurry to establish the eastern regions, but that will take time and you'd still be alone. If you want to be alone, so be it, but in as wide of a world as that would create... that's stacking up to be a lot of work for me to do for one player.

But if your character was in the western regions... why? Why would she leave her homeland?

It is apparent Nothing I pitch is going to be good enough... and I think alot of it has to do with me asking if you were expecting everyone to write a short story fore their background. And there was no clear laid guidelines what you wanted included or expected in a background... you request things vaguely you get vague in return.... But it is what it is. I am done trying to make someone I don't know or will never meet face to face happy. I will go RP in my other roleplays where people actually elaborate and go into detail as to what they expect in a CS. to those I was looking forward to playing with. If you want to catch me else where inbox me I'll hook you up with other RPs I am in! and to those I wasn't looking forward to rping with. Shalom!

After what I just looked up, I'm totally fine with that. As the GM I feel that I can't, in good conscience, accept a character if I don't feel someone is putting as much effort into it as can be expected from anyone else. And that is, unfortunately, exactly the case here. I don't mind someone taking inspiration from an established fandom, or adapting a canonical fandom to fit an RP, but I do mind when someone doesn't take the time to write their own character's biography. That's plagiarism. I can't accept this.

I told you I didn't need a short story for a biography, but you didn't even write any of it yourself. It takes no effort to copy and paste something. I've also stated that I'm willing to help anyone that needs it, or to tell me me if I missed anything once I linked to the OOC in the interest check. Perhaps that was easy to miss but now I'm stating it here. I'm fully willing to cooperate with anyone, because I want to make sure I can accommodate everyone I can. But I cannot accept this on principle alone.

  • Am I correct in assuming Rhogein as a civilization is based on Medieval Western Europe?
  • How's religion in Rhogein?

@Nerdude Yes, Rhogein - as well as Oroulam and Apolund to an extent - are inspired by / based on medieval Europe. Each one has additional influences, like the northern two regions having a little more Viking influence among other things. But yeah, pretty much. I am, however, boosting the technology level by a bit.

To your second question, I touched on this in the Interest Check but never fully addressed it. Religion in Rhogein is shattered like elsewhere in the world, but new understandings of faith have risen. These new faiths will worship flames, and I think I remember stating they could consult holy fire as a form of divination.

I probably shouldn't have tried to answer this right after waking up, so I'll try to address it better later. It's actually something I forgot to develop with the rest of the RP, despite originally wanting it to play a role. So that's my bad.
But if you wanted anything in particular as far as religion goes, I suppose you'd better tell me now.

I hadn't seen the interest check thread yet, was going off just what I had read here. I should probably check out the interest check thread. Could you explain "boosting technology level by a bit"? Also, I have no specific desires in regards to religion, t'was more out of curiosity to know a bit more about the world.

@ArkmageddonCat If you're using chrome: right click and translate to English. Not sure if the same is true for Firefox or the like.

The site itself can be viewed in English and some of the search tags have been romanized or translated in English in addition to their regular spelling, but in the end, due to the fact that Pixiv is an Asian site (primarily Japanese), most posts will be in some Asian language due to where the site is hosted. I've seen Europeans and other foreigners post on there, but they're a minority so it is best to translate something into Japanese and search it rather than the English spelling.

This looks pretty neat! I'm thinking of writing up a character who is a religious fanatic of questionable sanity. The gist of the idea is that she has "visions from God" that aren't always true. In reality she experiences hallucinations and delusions, but due to the whole "medieval society" thing she can't exactly have this diagnosed and treated.

Having said that, would it be possible to have a "future sight" type magic? Due to the nature of this ability and her lack of mental stability, I imagined it as @ArkmageddonCat writing the visions, and it would be up to my character to decide how much of the vision is true, if any of it. Thoughts?

@FistOfZeus Well you've got my attention. This could result in some interesting situations, and might afford me the ability to be as wacky or vague as I see fit. Could certainly be fun... though it would tether you to me to an extent. But if you're okay with that then I really only have maybe a few problems. We'll get to that, though, I just want to clarify that I'm on the same page.

So you're wanting something like clairvoyance or divination, with me providing the vision that may or may not actually be true... to them be interpreted by the unstable mind of your character? I'm not sure if there's precedent for magic working quite like that, but I like that. If you can explain how your character might have acquired such a rare gift, and whether or not the mental instability is related, then that might sway my decision. You can send me a PM if you'd rather discuss there, especially if you want to talk about anything you deem as "confidential" regarding your character.

Sorry if I'm rambling, I kinda feel like I am.
