Well, we're pretty close to starting the first event at Gulltown -- but there will be others, too, of course. Lots of opportunities. The more new blood we get the better. Very competitive market ASOIAF roleplays are right now. If you have any questions do let me know; I understand a lot of info is VAGUE because I haven't written it out perfectly yet.

I suppose I should first ask if a House is available. Would House Dayne of Starfall be playable? As descendants through Edric Dayne I would imagine.

Also if I was playing a House would I be able to play multiple characters in the House or would it be just one? For example maybe the Lord of the House and a member of the family who joined the Queensguard.

Ink's got me out here answering questions just so everyone knows I exist, apparently.

Nobody's stated interest in House Dayne so far, so they'd be more than welcome.

Typically playing multiple points of view from within the same house is expected, so no problems there. Lord, member who joined the Queensguard, random bastard hanging out in Starfall. You name it.

Ah. Nice!

I should probably ask if female knights are possible or even a female sword of the morning? I know that it's still Westeros and so it would still probably be a stretch but with Dorne being pretty progressive on its own and Daenerys as Queen could that maybe be possible?

Only Dayne created canonically so far is the mother of the current ruling Princess of Dorne. So, not really anything beyond accounting for that.

Yeah, the general nature of a house is playing multiple point-of-views if viable for stories said person wants to tell.

I imagine it'll be possible in this setting, no? Especially with Dorne + progressive Dany.

322 AC: Daenerys declares the first of her major reforms now that her small council has been adjusted and recovery has stabilized for the time being. The entire realm is declared to follow Dornish succession laws -- women inherit on the same grounds of men. She announces this at a Grand Tournament of King's Landing where all the Lord Paramounts are present.
The OP

I imagine with this and Dorne's generally progressive attitude female knights have become less of a "Literally never brought up." thing to something that happens, if a relative rarity.

Dunno about a female Sword of the Morning though. If that's how far House Dayne has come along, then who am I to judge?

I'm still waiting for George to reveal to me which of the Stone Dornishmen follow Andal inheritance laws.

Alysanne Arryn is working her way for a knighthood, so I’d be a hypocrite if I said nobody could have a woman knight or squire. Daenerys has had nearly sixty years of reformist policies – equal inheritance, female councilors, and female acceptance in traditional male roles are all things that have started to begin a first wave of changing the systematic prejudices. In some places it’ll be harder, sure, but I think Dorne will be the easiest of places to accept female anything.

Normally the letters ASOIAF alone are enough to secure my interest. So is this a reboot? Or continuing something before my time?

It is indeed a reboot -- or more accurately me reusing a thread that never made it to IC. The bulk of the important details have been edited into the OP and whatnot. Basically anything that is relatively recently edited or newly posted is fresh.

Cool, I'll give it a look over. Are all the houses claimed in the top post of the Characters tab up to date?

Going to head to bed right now but I will get a character sheet for House Dayne up tomorrow!

Unless I end up souring on the idea then it might be for another House but we will see ^^

In the characters tab, the OP should be up-to-date. We might have one or two folks slacking.

This is still a work in progress, however, I wanted to get myself a slot on the OOC character which I can reference back to and also use to help my formatting. Thanks and I will ensure this is done completely by Friday.

Edit at 0309 [Eastern Standard Time Zone, USA] 31May2019 - I am sleepy, but I have updated House Tully's info a bit more. I still need to work on the small history portion regarding Lord Edmyn Tully, fill out my House relations section, and then of course, complete my four POV's for House Tully. @Inkarnate, I will do my best to finish, but I am most likely going to run past the deadline due to work scheduling constraints. My apologies.

Edit at 2023 [Eastern Standard Time Zone, USA] 1Jun2019 - I have finished the entire House portion of my sheet. I will be cutting out one POV for the time being, in order to flesh out the other three. It will remain on the CS, however, it will not be filled out as of now, as that character will not enter the game, so to speak, right away.

Edit at 0100 [Eastern Standard Time Zone, USA] 2Jun2019 - Most of the Character information is done, aside from Rhaegar Redrivers. I am getting sleepy, and going to head to bed.

I'm fairly sure I'd like to play House Yronwood, a personal favourite of mine, as long as that doesn't interfere with anyone else's plans. I may possibly pick up a second house elsewhere like the Mallisters or Manderlys but will focus on the Yronwoods for the time being.
