I've been playing with an odd roleplaying plot in my head. So, I decided to share with everyone here: What's an unusual plot that you've come up with and wanted to try out.

For the sake of sharing I'll share one of mine:

It involves various male characters from different canons locked up in what appears to be the love child of a love hotel, and a maximum security prison. These men, often taken as couples are brought here by a bunch of strange people calling themselves "Foojoeshee" with the express purpose of watching their guests engaging in homoerotic activities for their voyeuristic enjoyment.

What they didn't count on is these men are straight, and don't want to engage in these activities, and have instead banded together to escape. However, the prison is guarded by heavily armed minions (yes, these minions), and our heroes have been stripped of their weapons/equipment and/or find their powers being suppressed.

The whole thing is actually based on the episdoe "Read My Bullets" from the Machinama show Sanity Not Included, in which Lyle and Dex (and their girlfriends) bust out of a maximum security prison run by a guy obsessed with make people listen to his crappy novels. Obviously, it's meant to be played for laughs and an excuse to have some epic action scenes.

The Guild's history in roleplay format. Users are personified individuals with random abilities facing off against the hordes of spam while doing character development and trying to find the great god Mahz so their threat may be destroyed.

I've never really had a weird plot that I never ran with. I mean yes, in the past I've had ideas that I felt were too strange for the people or forum I made my home, but those ideas often got refined into something that people later enjoyed.

One example was an RP that involved little angel girls going on a quest together. It had a simple yet interesting magic system that is most similar to avatar: the last air-bender. Each angel had one of the four elements and could use them a certain way. The players were going to go through a lot of fairy tale like landscapes on their way to the "empire of dirt" where they would do battle with whatever was draining the world dry. It was a private forum, and the players were all adverse to playing females and were hyper masculine. The final version still had angels in it, but it was more symbolic. The angels looked like humans, were older, and could be men. Even in the original version there were male angels, but they didn't adventure much because of how their magic functioned. Instead of fairy woods, we had kind of an ancient world vibe.

The very strangest one I had was an RP about going through someone's mind. Just weird thoughts all of the players had, their fears, parts of their past, would manifest as characters. There were no sex deviant minions, but there's something surreal about taking your brother's entirely fabricated impersonation of his favorite non-speaking character in phantasy star online and making it fight his character. And that was just the tenth post. Somehow, that one actually completed.

@BrokenPromise the former one would've been fun. Heave you thought of trying to start it again here? On the other hand, the second one sounds interesting

@WanderingDragon I've been pretty fortunate with my roleplays, and have no real desire to start that one up again at this time. I'm also co-GMing a magical girl RP, so once that's done I think I'm going to have hit my quota for "young girls fighting evil" for a while.

My current one is kind of weird.

Nightmare Before Christmas-based with Lock, Shock, and Barrel aged up to teenagers, and then adding other characters their age to play off of. Generic funtimes, right?

Then add in some Rise of the Guardians elements where Pitch Black is the One True Bogeyman, and the Man in the Moon chooses holiday leaders.

All right, now we have crossover elements. Cool.

Then realize Halloween Town's never had teenagers before (seriously, watch the movie: everyone's either a child or an adult with no in-between), and that teenagers are rebellious fucks with the time and energy to get involved in the way adults can't because of their obligations. Have the trickster trio realize they've been pawns all their lives, have the other teens see the shit going down in not only their town, but the other holiday worlds, and the next thing you know, the whole plot goes from "wacky teenage hijinks" to "we are literally banding together to take down this world's equivalent of god because screw that."
