*Pulls up the same radar on a smaller display in the arm of my chair*
Oh, right in front of us!
*Begins slowing the vessel down as we approach*
*Looks around for any displays*

<Snipped quote by Nimda>
*In the cockpit there are just a bunch of various gauges and displays for various stats on the ship, such as energy remaining and status of weapons and the device that keeps real space around us*
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>
*Looks at a lot of the controls but doesn't touch anything*

<Snipped quote by Nimda>
There it is.
*Slows the ship down to sub-relativistic speeds and quickly below the speed of sound as we come into view of the storm, crawling through Outside space at roughly the speed of a hurricane*
It’s almost majestic. It’s arranged itself into a visible pattern.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>
*Grins widely*
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
Not quite a natural phenomenon like these. Well, not hopefully it’s not natural, because that would mean it’s the one we’re looking for.
*Glances back at you*
It’s quite the site, wouldn’t you agree?
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>
*Nods quickly and traces the pattern with my finger*
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
*Chuckles and glances forward*
Alright, it’s time to get started. We are in Brinkspace, so beyond this ship, there is an amount of Outside. Fortunately, there is also some amount of normal space, so we can be sure that signals and scans can work. At least, outside the storm. But we can minimize faulty pickups if we get real close. Are you opposed to that?
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>
*Shakes my head*
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
Alright then. Let’s bring her in close enough to get some work done.
*Pushes a lever forward a bit, increasing the radius of the projected sphere of space protecting us and the ship a bit, and I fly in just above the storm, lowering the ship down to the point where the sphere dips into the storm just a bit*
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>
*Looks for windows or screens with video feeds*
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
*There are circular windows that allow you to look down into the storm below, probably only a mere few hundred meters away, yet the storm takes looks massive from this angle at this distance*
Alright, so now we get into the part that I don’t know what we should do. I have no idea what will be returned with any scans into the storm, but it’s not like we have any other way to get the info. Where would we be the most logical place to start? What should we look for?
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>
*Points to the suits*
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
Those are mainly for protecting yourself when walking in normal Brinkspace. This storm is another beast entirely. Perhaps a good place to start would be to scan for life. If something is alive in this beast, that’s an immediate good sign.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>
*Walks toward the controls*
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
I know it might be tempting, but it’s important to not mess with the controls. They’re locked to use only to specific people anyways, but I prefer not to take risks.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>
*Frowns and shakes my head*
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
Sorry to disappoint. We took no shortcuts with this vessel. It was very, very costly to produce, and the inly one of its kind.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>
*Sighs, then moves my hand back and forth like I'm holding a ray-gun and points to the window and then back at the controls*
