Bio
Born into a tribe of beastkin that has secluded itself in order to protect and study their knowledge on magic. Each member of the tribe are often born with the capabilities to learn magic and though don't have magic naturally like elves. Because of this, every member tends to gain a proficiency in one or two types of magic instead of being able to learn a broad range but the level of skill they can gain and the ability to increase their mana pool better than other races is able to rival elves when mastered. Due to this, the tribe has designated two roles for members to be given upon reaching the age of 18.
The Mystic Beastkin clan has become known for producing strong and powerful mages that are capable of a wide range of magic, even the rarer types not often seen. Often sought out by those of the outside while outsiders have tried finding the hidden village for the vast magic secrets they hold. All have failed in thanks to a powerful illusion barrier that envelopes and protects and keeps from sight of those curious or intruders. Thus, to lessen the number of those seeking to find the village did they decide to create the scholars to travel out from the village. They do, however, hold elves in high regard due to their natural magical capabilities and connection and often work on building a close alliance sharing their works and knowledge.
The keepers are those who remain at the village to study and teach magic. Their job is to prepare the young ones and to help train them in controlling and using their magic. As those that remain in the village they also have the duty of protecting the grand library which holds the village knowledge and secrets on magic.
The scholars are those that venture out from the village in order to seek out knowledge on magic and the other races. These beastkins are often trained and powerful mages whose purpose is to both aid others to prevent the curious and greedy from seeking out the village along with gathering knowledge to be sent back to the village. They do no take by force, however, and often make sure to receive permission before sending such to the village. Thus, these mystic kins as they came to be called often seek out a guild or clan or governmental agency and such to offer their aid.
And Menzai part of the wolf kin clan of the tribe has been a family that produced especially powerful and well known scholars for generation. Ever since as a child, he had a great interest towards learning and studying magic and curious to see the outside world. Yet, when the time came to discern his magical essence to be barrier magic that hope nearly seemed to be over. As most scholars often had offensive type magic, whereas he had a purely defensive one better fit for being a keeper.
This did not stop the young wolf kin as he was determined to venture forth from the village and seek out the mystery and knowledge that awaited. As the role would not be set until the coming of age of 18, he spent most of his time throughout the years studying and training especially hard with most days spent in the grand library. It was in here that he discovered sealing magic which through his research found that it could help make up for his barrier magic lack of offensive capabilities.
Years of learning and training had resulted in Menzai becoming a very proficient barrier mage said to have the potential of surpassing the grand protecter kin back when the village was first founded who's barrier still protects it. As most barrier mages were barely able to reach green stage, Menzai was able to reach red class though through testing and experiments found that making the markings with his blood rich with mana is capable of reaching purple class though at the current time somewhat unstable without full concentration.
At the age of 18, he attempts the scholar trials even against the misgivings of his family and friend as no barrier specialty mage have completed the trials. Yet, through his knowledge and the aid of sealing magic; completed the trials and with a time that rivaled the offensive prodigy kin. With the completion of the trial, he has attained the role of scholar and has ventured out to begin his journey, eager to see what he can learn from the races and monsters.

Barrier Magic
The user is capable of creating and utilizing different types of barriers of varying sizes as intensity of color indicates the overall strength of the barrier with a spectrum of white-blue-green-red-purple-orange-gold with white being the lowest class up to gold being the highest class which only a very few have reached gold level. Menzai is currently capable of reaching purple class barriers with the use of his blood rich with mana while mainly up to red class using simple tags or markings.
-Bubble Barrier: Creates a small bubble barrier around the user to withstand physical and magical attack. Mainly an emergency skill to protect against sudden attacks. The barrier symbol etched on the underside of his left arm allowing near instant use as long as the user notices or senses the attack in time
-Wall Barrier: A rectangular wall barrier of 5 inches thickness that can be drawn up in front of the user or on set locations that markers or tags are set to block an attack or to activate as a trap to surprise and stun an enemy.
-Cube Barrier: Summons up a cube shaped barrier of varying sizes depending on the amount of mana is infused into it. Used to either wrap around allies to protect against physical and magical attacks or summoned by set markers and tags to envelope enemy and targets to entrap them.
-Dome Barrier: A stronger form of cube barrier allowing it to spread out over a bigger area and capable of withstanding hits better.
-Platform Barrier: Small near flat barriers the user summons up to use as platforms in order to get to higher ground or summon beneath the feet to get up to the air for strategic lay of the ground or surprise attacks.
-Advanced Barrier techniques requiring purple class and up-
-Rebound Barrier: Barriers that are capable of rebounding back magical and projectile attacks and causes physical attacks to bounce off. Such barriers being much more sturdy and difficult to break than normal.
-Transport barrier: A barrier that envelopes around the targets and allows to transport to a different location. Requires the transport markings to be set in place in the starting and destination in order to be used and drains a fair amount of mana to use, limiting the user to three uses.
-Absorption Barrier: Unlike rebound barrier, this barrier absorbs most magical attacks and the energy from physical and projectile attacks which can be taken and used to enforce the barrier or refresh its user's mana source. Used properly allows the user extended summoning of the barrier but incapable of using other barriers when in use.
Compression Barrier- A barrier that allows the user to shrink the barrier around a target and unlike suppression is used to crush and squeeze the target. Capable of hurting or killing the target with enough pressure. Larger the target more mana is used.
-Master Barrier techniques- (have not gained yet)
Suppression Barrier: A barrier that can compress and shrink the targets within to the size the user designates. The larger the target the more effort and mana is needed and the stress put on the user, who if incapable of withstanding the pressure will cancel the suppression.
Rebound+Absorption Barrier: A combined rebound and absorption barrier that allows it to absorb in attacks and fire back attacks amplified and doubled in power from the added energy absorbed. The user can choose when to fire back attacks or continue absorbing attacks to be used in various ways and capable of infusing the energy into allies to refill mana or stamina.-Requires gold class
Ultimate Protection Barrier- Protects the user and those within from all forms of attack and magical effects, even those normally capable of bypassing barriers like time or space magic but use is restricted as it also drains its user's life force shortening their life the longer its maintained.-Requires gold class
Sealing Magic
Movement seal: A simple seal that can stop or hinder a target's movement. Larger or more resistant the target the weaker its effect in proportion to the user's own mana strength. Those lower or near equal become paralyzes while those partially greater maintain movement but become slower while those with high resistance and strength have no effect on.
-Magic seal: Placed on the target has their magic either sealed off or lessened depending on their resistance and in proportion to the user's mana power.
-Senses Seal: A seal that can be given the effect to seal off one of the target's senses like sight or smell. Made to hinder the target and allow the user for strategic attack or time to retreat.
-Sleep Seal: Placed on the target to force them to fall asleep. Those with strong resistance can stave it off.
Advanced Sealing (have not attained yet)
-Demon seal: A powerful seal made to lock demons into an object. Requires mana greater than the demon to be successful and time to make the seal lock in. Though can use others aiding with mana to increase chances of success on stronger classed demons.
-Full lockdown seal: Seals a target's movement and magic with greater potency.

Extras
Being a wolf beastkin gives him enhanced senses in sense of smell and hearing of the level of a canine. Also has moderately sharp claws and fangs that can be used for battle. Does not have enhanced strength nor speed but the senses do increase his reflexes allowing him to react faster than most other races.

Ok, changed that they aren't born with the magic but since they're a tribe that already learn and study magic which allows them to learn magic really well and mostly just get one or two magic they specialize in since they can't do it naturally to do a broad range.

Aeh is a small crow Beastkin. He stands at a foot and a half tall with a wingspan of four feet, he barely weighs four pounds. His feathers are all black, the only color that stands out on him is his eyes, which much unlike real crows, are a pale shade of blue. For sake of ease, when he isn't planning on flying, he keeps his longer wing-feathers tucked carefully in the sleeves of his cloak, or bound back from his hands so they aren't getting in his way when he is casting spells. The bindings are easy enough to break out of if he should need to fly suddenly.
Due to his ability for magic, Aeh is also able to take on a human form. As a human, he stands roughly at six foot even with a slim yet toned figure. His hair is short and as black as his feathers, his eyes are the same pale blue as they are in his true form. Unsurprisingly his human form doesn't have any scars to be seen, as he doesn't actually have any in his true form either.

Aeh is very smart but unless you see him actually making potions, you'd have no idea. He has very little shame and isn't afraid to ask to be carried around when the journey is a long one. Has a good sense for 'good' people.

Aeh was born and raised in the forests of Itura. Both his parents were alchemists and potion makers, and from a young age he was trained to be one as well. He took to his parents teachings with great determination and admiration for the craft. By the time he was a teenager he was able to easily identify and hunt down the valuable ingredients to make potions, tonics, and drinks. What couldn't be found in the forests, grown in the garden, or nearby was always traded for from the Elves or in the depths of the nearest city/town. It was even to the point that he had begun to craft and brew his own lesser versions of the more powerful things his parents crafted.
Due to his parents work, Aeh wasn't limited to a simple home-life of wasting away in the kitchen or isolated to a life without adventure. His parents actively encouraged him to interact with their customers and he was always taken along when one parent had to leave the home to deliver an order or medicine outside of the forest. Because of this, he was exposed to many different walks of life and many different races of people. While he never really picked up on learning how to speak any different languages, he has a fantastic understand of many of them. But more importantly, this lead to Aeh's adventures into the teachings of magic from an Elf that they visited frequently.
His teachings into magic were simple at best, utility over anything else. While he did have an obvious talent for much stronger, more dangerous magic, he never took an interest, favoring the easier quality of life spells.
Despite all his freedom, Aeh turned out to be exactly as his parents were; homebodies. This lead to the unfortunate incident of him having to live through both of his parents passing on due to old age. They had decided to have him later in their lives, a bit too late even; his mother passed on first and his father shortly after, leaving Aeh effectively alone in the world. After he buried his parents and he was sure all of their long-time customers were informed of their passing -and that the shop was closing indefinitely-, Aeh gathered all he could carry before boarding up the entire house and leaving it under the care of a family friend who lived not too far away.
From there, he left the forest and entered the city life with some struggle, to continue his learning of potion making and the alike. After several years of studying under a doctor- learning first hand how to make stronger healing potions and more about herbal medicines- he decided it was fine time to put his teachings to good use. As a 'mage', Aeh doesn't really carry much on him, especially considering how small he usually is. He travels as light as possible, leaving him with only his cloak and his alchemy bag. His bag is filled with all sorts of things and carries everything he owns.

At current, it carries a spare change of clothes, vials and bottles with stoppers, countless pouches and small bags of herbs and other ingredients, a couple of things of water, a shrunken (crow sized) pot along with a spoon, needle and thread, cloth for bandages, and his family tome of potion making. This isn't including the few vials he keeps on hand at any given time for emergencies; mostly healing tonics and 'sip' sized jars of poison. On the outside of the bag he carries his weapons, the short sword and rapier are strapped on the right of the bag while his bow is secured on the left.
Focus Ring: A simple misshapen ring. It has a small yet insanely sturdy crystal hanging off of it with a single metal hoop. The crystal itself isn't very pretty and is easily mistaken for a small chunk of metal with its gross looking color. But it works just fine for Aeh as a focus, allowing him to maintain his channeled magic and cast spells with a great deal of ease. While in human form, it acts as a simple ring on his left hand. But while in his true form, he keeps it around his neck like a necklace.

Instead of the typical glass many bottles are crafted with, Aeh learned to utilized his magic into making bottles out of wax-lined crystallized sugar and/or other substances. Aeh knows several spells, but most of them are quality of life.
Daily Use
Transformation: Aeh's most valued and used magic. This spell allows him to gain human form to perform 'simple' tasks that the larger races don't even have to think about. It is a magic he needs to remain semi-focused to use, so he cannot keep the form all the time. But usually he can hold his shape for quite a while. If he falls asleep or falls unconscious though, the spell immediately breaks and he returns to normal. This spell also, thankfully, works on his clothing and anything else he is 'wearing'. So his bag and all the items in it change in size to keep up with his body.
'Ghost Hands': A varied form of 'telekinesis'. Aeh cannot use this in his human shape. But while in his true form, he can use this to take small materials and shape them into other things, or to bring things to himself as long as they aren't too heavy. More often than not it is used in crafting Throwing Bottles, but in some instances it can be used to throw things further than he normally could or to assist with other small, mundane things.
Fire Starting: Basic to fire spells, Aeh can conjure flame at the tips of his hands. This is able to be used in either form but the amount of fire always seems to be the same amount regardless.

A master of his craft, Aeh knows how to brew all kinds of potions from his years and years of study and practice. Not only is he able to make healing tonics or soothing brews to restore energy, he knows of volatile acids and poisons. Within his family potions book, he has been continually improving and furthering his studies any chance he gets; he might even need to invest in a new book soon.

Healing Potion: The typical healing potion. Heals broken bones, cures poisons, and other serious injuries. Grants full energy restoration! Unfortunately the added energy only lasts a short while before it dissipates, leaving the drinker exhausted afterwards.
Healing Potion 'Plus': An advanced healing potion. Carried strictly in 'Throwing Bottles'. Will heal bullet holes, minor magic afflictions, corrosive poisons, and other things that might otherwise kill you. It does not, however, grant any energy. In fact, it more often than not will render someone completely unconscious if they are nearly dead hen its used. For how long, it is entirely unknown. You might not die but you sure might not wake up either without further intervention. Good luck!
Potion of Sticky Weakness: A toxic liquid that can be used while wet or dry. It smells absolutely awful until it dries, at which point it looses its scent and becomes nearly clear. When it is dried, it turns into a very thin goo-like substance that is terribly sticky; it will stick to shoes, hair, trees, and anything it touches. The poison, if put on the skin, is easily absorbed. It will cause muscle weakness and intense joint pain until it runs its way through the body which can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, all depending on a creatures metabolism. Fortunately, this washes away very easily with a bit of water; Spit and sweat work just as well, but it requires at least a cup full to completely clear away.
'Potion' of Burning: A bottle filled with highly flammable liquid. Kept in a throwing bottle. Sometimes has a small 'spark starter' in the stopper to allow for a sudden rush of flame at a specific location.

Tea of Soothing: A very simple tea made with a fresh blend of herbs and other goodness. Good for a rough day when the body aches and the soul hurts. Has proven to be very rejuvenating, slowly restoring energy while it eases the ache of the day away. It doesn't restore a whole lot, but it helps. Best served warm, taste varies between slightly sweet or a bit bland.
Sips of Sleepiness: Rough day? Cant sleep? Or maybe its the middle of the day but being conscious just isn't working out? This is the exact thing you need. Just a small sip of this liquid will put a grown man on his ass for a few hours, if not days. Has no scent at all but tastes terribly bitter, best taken with a small meal.
Broth from Home: Cooked up along side other meals, this liquid is best served warm. Usually smells really good. It works in rejuvenating small cuts and scratches and can help fight off illness and other minor things; sadly it doesn't restore much energy, but it has been noted to help lift spirits and occasionally help people to sleep.

Sips of Sleepiness: Rough day? Cant sleep? Or maybe its the middle of the day but being conscious just isn't working out? This is the exact thing you need. Just a small sip of this liquid will put a grown man on his ass for a few hours, if not days. Has no scent at all but tastes terribly bitter, best taken with a small meal.
Broth from Home: Cooked up along side other meals, this liquid is best served warm. Usually smells really good. It works in rejuvenating small cuts and scratches and can help fight off illness and other minor things; sadly it doesn't restore much energy, but it has been noted to help lift spirits and occasionally help people to sleep.

For many years, the cat beastkins were always a capacious bunch. Whether in mass or alone, the cat beastkin are found wherever humans dwell, either in beast or hybrid form. But among the feline beastkin is a rarer breed: the Grimalkins. There is an old saying that cats have nine lives, and it's the Grimalkin who put that into real practice, being absurdly long-lived and difficult to put down. Nox is one of the few Grimalkins. Unlike many beastkin, his form originated solely as a cat: his early life was being the familiar of an enterprising human mage many, many years ago. It was through the efforts of the mage that Nox would eventually gain his own sentience but it was only afterwards that he would go about obtaining the coveted status of Grimalkin.
Grimalkin are not chosen, but made, and so once Nox received the liberation of awakening he left the service of his wizard master and sought the challenges and rites to become the legendary cat beast. He did many thing in his short life, from hunting the biggest prey (A whale), reaching the sky (Climbed a mountain), and even obtained immortality (Has a vast lineage of children). Over the course of his life his physiology changed from that of a cat to a more traditional beastkin, namely the ability to walk on two feet and having opposable thumbs. He even learned magic, and from there it became apparent that his deeds enabled him to become a grimalkin, granting him an ageless existence similar to the elves. But that gave Nox one problem.
He had no idea what he wanted to do with his life now. Once a cat so full of ambition and aspiration, but now that he had obtained what he had wanted, he had no idea what he would do next. It was a mystery. But he didn't let it bother him too much: without having to truly worry about morality for a very long time, Nox decided to do what a cat does best: enjoy it's life. He settled down for a while, siring many more kittens and seeing them grow up to become adults. He would occasionally come into the service of others, posing as a mere cat, and leaving when it suited him. He even had a rather infamous career as an assassin, utilizing his unassuming appearance to stalk his prey and slay them when they least expect it. He learned many magics to bolster his ability and entertain him, and eventually one day while he was sleeping in a barrel, he was adopted by some orc. He seemed nice enough, gave Nox a warm place to sleep and food when he wants it, though Nox doesn't feel too particularly close to the man. Still it seemed like he was up to something exciting, and Nox could certainly use the distraction. So he's going to stick around and tag along for his adventures, just to see where it goes.

Psycho Cutter - Psychic energy form around Nox's claws, allowing him to deliver a powerful slashes that bypass physical armor. This is Nox's primary combat spell.
Dark Pulse - Dark energy collect in Nox's eyes, allowing him to shoot a beam of foul energy at any target he can see, no matter how far away they are. The energy then blasts the target with a mixture of dark and force energy, capable of toppling even the staunches of enemies. Nox's primary range spell.
Nine Lives - Nox creates up to eight other copies of himself. They share his strength and abilities, however they are very fragile so even an attack that wouldn't kill Nox can kill them. Nox can telepathically communicate with these clones and anything they learn is returned to Nox when they vanish.
Shadow Step - Nox can teleport up to any shadow he sees within 60ft of himself.
Night Fall - A large 20-foot radius cloud of profane darkness surrounds a single object or creature that Nox chooses. Anything within that cloud is effectively blind thanks to the impenetrable darkness which even a creature's darkvision cannot pierce. Only those with magical darkvision such as Nox can see through it.
Primal Instincts - Increases Nox's senses, magically improving his vision, hearing, smell, taste, and sensitivity. It also allows him to detect the presence of magic.
Likes: Fish, warmth, soft things, killing.
Dislikes: Bread, being wet, loud people, children.

Bio: One day, a girl was born into slavery. In an land where the elves were often kidnapped from their homes to be made slaves, them and their children. This girl was no different. She was conditioned from birth to be silent, to follow orders and do as she was commanded. Taken away from her family, she was put to work as soon as she could walk to tend to the fields, the animals, and do any labor which her masters commanded her to do. If she ever tried to resist, even if she so much as flinches, she was punished by her masters. The first time she even spoke out she was punished by having her tongue removed.
Despite the harsh treatment this girl never wavered. She was like a tree in a gale; even as the winds tear at her bark, stripe her of her leaves, only the force of a hurricane and the power of a lightning bolt would topple her. When the elves and other slaves rebelled against their former masters, the nameless girl was one of the first to take up arms. Having never learned magic like other elves she simply took up the sword and fought with a ferocity and might one would expect of an orc. But years of hard labor had honed her body to become strong, and a lifetime of abuse has tempered her will to the cruelties of man. After a bloody battle that left many dead, the girl was finally free of her chains.
After she was freed the girl continued to fight. She never gave herself a name and instead she took up the ones other gave her: Quiet. A literal description that fit her perfectly, perhaps in contrast to the moniker she also gained through battle: Thunderstriker. With her sword her blows often clashed against the steel and blades of her enemies, creating a thunderous cacophony that was her warcry. Like the thunder that calls for a storm, the sound of her clash warned friend and foe alike of her arrival. For many ages after she was freed, the girl known as Quiet never set her blade down, and instead continued to hone her skills in combat. She traveled the land, seeking to hone her skill with the blade through training and war. She was a blade that stood against all tyrants in the service of the weak. Overtime her reputation faded into history, becoming nothing more than a folk hero of a dark land. But recently she has returned doing exactly as she's always been doing: finding new foes menacing the defenseless and slaying it.

@Zaphander just one big main thing, the race wars were in the fourth age and it's the tenth age each age is thousands of years and elves can only live for about three thousand

Maybe I could add a detail where she ends up frozen in time until very recently? I kind of want her to have been part of that war and somehow here in this age doing what she does best. Maybe be surprised at all the new things that's around here too.
