Intense and driven, Sasha is not a guy you want to make an enemy of. He's intelligent, level headed, collected, and when he sees fit, cold. With the determination of a true soldier, Sasha will stop at nothing to complete a task he's set his mind to. His sheer will and tenacity make him a valuable ally.
But, despite being gun-for-hire, Sasha is far from evil. His softer side isn't something many people get to see. For one, he doesn't have many people to show it to, outside of his very small friend circle. He's generally quiet and reserved in unfamiliar settings, afraid of getting too close to other people, lest he be jaded. But when he's decided that you're his friend, a warmer, gentler giant begins to emerge.

Sasha is a very large, muscular man. He stands at six foot seven, has pale skin and dirty blonde hair that is kept in a neat buzz cut. His eyes are a gray-ish blue, and cold in appearance. They go just right with his perpetual frown. Sasha has several tattoos. His most notable tattoos are a compass that points West on his left chest, and a line of words in Russian on his arm. The words are now difficult to read due to a thin, raised scar that runs right through the middle of them.
His wardrobe matches the rest of him: drab and lacking imagination. He sports army green tank tops, cargo pants, boots, and similar attire. His go-to colors seem to be dull green, tan, black, and brown.
Other: Sasha speaks with a Russian accent. He speaks several European languages fluently, Russian and English being his best of course.
History:
Sasha grew up in Kazan, Russia. He was born to a desperately poor family in the slums. His mother was a seamstress who worked long hours, and his father was a former soldier, now a notorious alcoholic with intense PTSD. Sasha grew up seeing little good in the world, and eventually grew a bleak outlook on life. To him it was clear that he'd never make something of himself without stepping on a few toes. So step he did.
He joined the ground forces as soon as he could. At age 14, he was big enough to pass as a young adult, and given the political turmoil the country was facing, the recruiters didn't care to double check. He left home and never looked back. Sasha earned a name for himself, climbed in rank, achieving 2nd Lieutenant before he met a recruiter for a mercenary organization. He wasn't particularly patriotic, so the idea of abandoning his homeland for money and travel was a no-brainer.
Sasha stayed in and out of trouble for several years, but always kept the reputation of a hard worker and valuable soldier. He eventually started working for our Commander as part of his private militia. When the Commander, and his mercenaries, were hired by Whitmore as a protection detail for the explorers, Sasha came with them.
He's not overly hopeful to find anything down at the bottom of the sea. Sasha is more interested in the handsome payday that waits for them when they re-surface.

Since she severely lacks people to talk too about the things she cares about, Brooke has developed a habit of thinking aloud, or talking to herself.
This all being said, Ms. Everett is an exceptionally skilled linguist and cartographer. Her lack of tact is not to be confused with a lack of intelligence. It is her life's passion and work.
Brooke has a distaste for violence, and is particularly aware of the flaws of the society she lives in. If anything good has come out of her struggles, it's her deeply burning empathy with the experiences of others. Brooke also is addicted too really likes Cola, reading, playing board games. Of course, maps and languages are pretty great, too.

It was his identity, and his smile brightened the room whenever little Brooke dared to ask about the subject unprompted.

But soon Penny's nomadic family moved again, to somewhere else. Raymond Everett became obsessed with Atlantis, a lost forgotten Empire. He drudged up evidence and books and found the beginnings of the Atlantean language. He needed Shepherd's Journal, but he could never quite track it down. She saw him less and less towards the final years of his life, and though he was a great man, he never could just let it go.
Years have passed since then, and Brooke found herself taking up her grandfather's torch in the field of Academia. Most of whatever money he had intended to pass down to her was gone, or has been spent in the time since his passing. Originally, she planned to not fall down the same trap he did and become ensared by visions of Atlantis. Instead she wanted to study other aspects of those fields and become renowned for her own discoveries. For a while, this was true, but...it was hard not to think about.
So, working as a plumber in the boiler room of a University, she has slowly but surely built a little bit of a name for herself, if not publicly. Since she's technically not really a scholar, her work tends to be co-opted without credit by other members of academia. It has gotten under her skin recently, but she'd distracted herself more and more with focusing on the Lost Empire of Atlantis and cracking the code of the Atlantean language. Within the last year she has finally gotten fluent with it, has learned it's syntax and grammar, and can read and write it. Even her grandfather was a novice at the language, but she had his work as a headstart. Now, she's diving headlong into finally making a name for herself with a discovery that can't possibly be covered up or be taken credit for by somebody else- the discovery of the lost city itself. All she needs, is Shepherd's Journal and-

When Rebecca James was born, her rat-bastard parents left her at the doorsteps of an orphanage and so are off the start, Rebecca life is not a good one at all. throughout her childhood, Rebecca have been skilled and troublesome child, she lie to adults, pickpocketed people and just cause havoc wherever she goes.
When she turn 16, she became a part of England most deadly gang....As their cook? Yeah, really, even Rebecca was surprise by this. To this day, Rebecca doesn't know why the gang want her as cook but she doesn't care, it the money that counts but at the same, Rebecca was having fun cooking, she just love the looks of the gang members faces when they are enjoying her foods and for once in her life, she finally feel happy after years of hearing for people telling her that she not special, she finally feel special by her peers.....But then crap hits the fan when one of gang member ratted the gang out to the police and all them, including Rebecca, was sent off to jail.

Tristan is a very peculiar person. While very observant, he has some issues with interpersonal relations, sometimes seeming distant or rude. The truth is that Tristan has trouble dealing with others and interpreting social cues, as he seems to be on the autistic spectrum. But for those he does manage to get along with, Tristan is a very caring and loyal friend. While he does not enjoy violence, Tristan is willing to fight to protect those he cares about.
Tristan is something of a perfectionist, always holding himself to a level that requires constant bettering. As such Tristan is always trying to learn all he can, viewing his photographic memory as a gift from God for just that purpose. Due to this high standard he can get quite annoyed with people who he views as purposefully ignorant.

The choice of attire that Tristan has chose keeps in line with the privileged upbringing he had. The majority of the time he can be seen wearing a proper dress shirt and a full piece suit, usually in grey or brown, as well as finely pressed pants and a pair of well shined dress shoes. However, he has bought a pair of boots for the expedition, woefully unaware of the demands of the adventure and appropriate attire.

Tristan is perfectly fluent in English and French. He always has several notebooks on his person, and insisted that he bring along a new state of the art typewriter on the expedition.
History:
Born in the town of Berlin, the one in Canada, not Germany, Tristan was welcomed into a well off family. The Walkers had been in Canada for a few generations, rumour stating that they used to work for the Hudson Bay Company. Regardless of the past, the Walkers were rich, the patriarch, Elliot Walker, being a merchant with many connections across the nation. Growing up, Tristan would never want for anything, always having the newest clothes, the best education. It was expected that all this would ready Tristan to follow in his father’s footsteps.
However, Tristan found the world of business dealings quite boring, instead either making notes about nature in his journal or write poetry. It was during this time that Tristan discovered the works of H.G. Wells and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, stories full of adventure and wonder. These stories convinced Tristan that his calling was to write novels. This choice was looked at with disdain by Elliot Walker.
Tristan spent the next few years working on what he thought would be his magnum opus, the Eye of Wotan, an epic fantasy adventure. He spent years researching and planning the story, before spending several more years actually writing it. By the time that Tristan was finished he was at the age to attend college. His father decided to help him publish his novel, but only if he attended the University of Toronto. Tristan agreed, pursuing a degree in journalism.
After completing his first year, Tristan was elated to learn that the Eye of Wotan had been published. He was less elated when nobody was talking about it. Months went by and still no mention of his novel. After a year it became apparent that no one was buying his book. Depressed over this, Tristan barely finished his studies and obtained his degree. For the next half year, Tristan remained at his family’s home, feeling that his life was pointless. This ended when his father had enough and kicked him out.
Out on his own, Tristan almost became a vagrant, but he managed to score a position at a local newspaper. He held that position for several months before being approached by Preston Whitmore, a man he had interviewed for his book. The very wealthy elder offered him a position to document the events on an expedition he was organizing. It was during a family vacation to the western United States that would spark his interest in geology after seeing and then exploring the grand canyon. Wanting to learn about how it was formed and his father would help him along. Happy that Szalai was following in his footsteps.

Personality: A military man through and through, Thuycdides is a soul hardened by a long career of battle and scorn by his fellow Southrons. He prefers to lead from the front, unwilling to order to his men into any risk he would not take himself, and his dedication to the men and women under his command is unquestionable. He is somewhat cold and unemotionally professional to newcomers, but he's quick to warm up to those that earn his respect.

History: Born and raised in the heart of Louisiana, Thucydides Beauregard comes from a long and proud history of military leaders. For most of his life he grew up loathed by his fellow Southerners for his family's siding with the Union during the American Civil War, to which he responded with equal amounts of spite and a redoubling of his devotion to his country. At 18 he joined the United States Marine Corps, seeing it as the greatest act of defiance he could manage against those that had labeled him and his family traitors to his homeland.
He'd go on to enjoy a long and successful career, rising to the rank of Captain during the Spanish-American War. Fighting from the Philippines all the way to the Boxer Rebellion, where extensive wounds ended his career with an honorable discharge. History: Born and raised in the heart of Louisiana, Thucydides Beauregard comes from a long and proud history of military leaders. For most of his life he grew up loathed by his fellow Southerners for his family's siding with the Union during the American Civil War, to which he responded with equal amounts of spite and a redoubling of his devotion to his country. At 18 he joined the United States Marine Corps, seeing it as the greatest act of defiance he could manage against those that had labeled him and his family traitors to his homeland.
He'd go on to enjoy a long and successful career, rising to the rank of Captain during the Spanish-American War. Fighting from the Philippines all the way to the Boxer Rebellion, where extensive wounds ended his career with an honorable discharge. Specialty: Getting into trouble, defying his father's direct orders, you can't tell me what to do, old man, very athletic, can hold his breath and swim for an obscenely long amount of time.
Personality: Khaldor is a free spirit. He's very much unprepared to take his place as leader of Atlantis. Despite his father edging closer to the great light, Khaldor would much rather explore the ancient ruins than study politics and law. He's adventurous, curious, a bit hard headed, and a compassionate.
Appearance: Khaldor is athletic and strong. He's 5'11, muscular, and attractive. The lack of pants helps. Like most other Atlanteans, he doesn't wear a whole lot. He hasn't seen the sun in over eight thousands years, so hiding from sunburn isn't exactly a concern. He has brown skin, white hair, and bright blue eyes. Khaldor sports several tattoos, traditional of his people. He also likes gold accessories.
Other: Like all other living Atlanteans, Khaldor can speak Atlantean, but he can't read Atlantean. This ability was lost when the city sunk, along with the great knowledge the crystals allowed them. In fact, they forgot how to use any technology that was related to the crystals, and even how the crystals worked, to an extent.
History:
Khaldor, like many of his people, was there when the city sunk. He doesn't remember much, other than his mother being drawn into the sky by a bright light, and never seeing her again. When the city fell, the Atlanteans lost use of their sophisticated technology and advanced knowledge. They could no longer build amazing machines, or use their crystal power source to their advantage. The crystals still worked, allowing them centuries long lifespans, but they just couldn't remember how to use them anymore.
Ever since they sunk, Khalor has been terminated to solve the mysteries of his civilization. What happened to his mother? What was the bright light? What was the ancient scripture scrolled on walls around the city, and miles under water? He's climbed, swam, and trekked over almost every inch of the empire. Then, when he knew and memorized it all, he began exploring the highway that allegedly led to the surface world.
His father forbade anyone entering the ancient road, but that never stopped him. Khaldor was always a bit of a hard head when it came to taking orders.
