sorry but I personally prefer to hold no expectations to anything carrying the disney logo in the franchise. If it's good great, if not well not disappointed. Not much on their movie track records. Hopefully the future will be better but for now, I'm not trusting them. Disney are technically the same as Palps.

@rivaan I hold hope reserved for Ahsoka and Bad Batch as Filoni is going to be tied pretty closely to that project.

I also want Rogue Squadron to be good with all my heart.

We'll see though I suppose.

In Filoni we trust. He'll do good stuff, of that I have no doubt. So long as Kathleen Kennedy doesn't get too involved.

I just ordered a set of all 9 Rogue Squadron books; be interesting to see how the movie will compare. Other than that, I'm most excited for Bad Batch (since it looks to be a continuation of Clone Wars), Kenobi, and Acolyte. Super interested to see what a series focused on the old Sith in canon will look like, since the Old Republic is probably my favorite era of Star Wars.

Slightly off topic, but is anyone else annoyed by what they've done to lightsabers in canon? I liked how they were just a highly customizable piece of technology, rather than the whole quasi-mystical route they've been taking with the sentient Kyber crystals and the whole Sith bleeding thing.

Hottake: I actually like the mysticism around Kyber Crystals. I like that they're both something ANYONE can use. Though I also like the idea that to unlock their potential there's a bit of Force Magic going on, but then I always preferred the fantasy elements of Star Wars over the fiction elements.

@Sep Well to be fair even in legends they are plenty mystical also. What with affecting hte saber in subtle ways, channeling a metaphysical foce such as well THE FORCE and what not heck in kotor 2 there was even that crystal that was bound to your characer that altered it's effects as you grew stronger and went dark,light or grey @_@ I guess to me it's the balancing act of fantasy vs scifi. I guess I just feel in new canon they went too far in the fantasy direction if that makes sense?

@rivaan I mean if you look into it, not really? I mean all they said is that you bond with one particular crystal above others. As that is your crystal, but we know you can use other sabers and whatnot.

Unpopular opinion I really like the idea of crystals bleeding.

@Sep actually I don't hold perticularly bad opinions about the whole bleeding thign. It makes sense and honestly after reading up on the legends and canon red crystals it's not too different. I mean sure in legends the red ones are mostly synthetic but they are supposedly red because they are infused with all things negative of their creator. Sounds familar to the bleeding isn't it xD?
