Hmmmm.
Since I took basic motifs from RWBY, I'd say that something along the line of decent sci fi.
Laser weapons are thing, but mostly used by robots and hardly available to normal people to use.
Most progress of recovery was made on weapon technology and water/soil purification technology, while other parts are still lacking greatly.

Here's a suggestion: wrist blaster that can switch between handgun rounds and grenades. Or bladed grenades. Also can turn to bladed gauntlet

Basically what I have so far is that she grew up liking fireworks and stuff. So much so that even boys started getting afraid of the amounts she'd set off. Than she discovered science and magic and now she treats setting them off as just the cherry on top of the fine art of making them. I am half tempted to post my rough draft as is..
