When I was but a wee lass in the Navy, myself and my team were being driven in a bus to Camp Lemonnier (Eastern Africa). On the way there, we passed a local whom I made eye contact with as the bus had stopped due to traffic. The man then proceeded to make a gesture as if he were shooting up the bus with a rifle. Even though the bus started moving again shortly after that, his actions left quite the impression on me for the rest of the ride given that it was my first deployment and my first time on site.

Let me know if it is worth watching.

NOPE. My son is 14. I'm an old man. HE loved it. I didn't hate it, but it seemed like it moved slowly. The only redeeming quality for me was Michael Rooker was in it. He tends to liven things up, but even he is getting old. :(

I have a friend who lived in South Africa. I told her one day, I would love to go to Africa sometime; check out SA, the pyramids and maybe a few other sites. She said to me, "There is absolutely no reason for you to go to Africa. It is the most dangerous place on the planet."

I've been to South Africa as well; it was a quick stop on a different deployment. But Durban (city in SA) was much better in comparison. And we blended with some of the population, especially my dirty-blonde, pale self. Some areas you could confuse it for any other modern city, but go a block away and you'll be in the slums.

I liked Love and Monsters, reminded me of Freaks of Nature and to an extent Daybreak (although Netflix's Daybreak was more so a hit or miss).

I'm not fond of those vendors at the mall who relentlessly insist you buy their stuff, and in the past, I've had to fend off some pretty aggressive salespeople. Well, not today. One of them said "Hi" with a smile like always, and I returned the greeting because I'm polite. Well, he tried to hand me something and I said "No, thanks" in Russian and he didn't say another word as I walked away victorious. I would have used Spanish but that's like everyone's first language here.

So that's a little tip for y'all as well :)

Try Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or French The last two I can speak okay, and obviously Spanish is my main chick so if you want beyond the basics lemme know.

Random fact about Valentine's Day...

The festival, which celebrated the coming of spring, included fertility rites and the pairing off of women with men by lottery.

Maybe they should bring the lottery back lol
