I forgot to take into account that Valm might not be too happy that somebodies stealing crap from their friendly neighbor so near their border.

Okay Konzia is a military state that runs under a dictator. I would say you kill off the dictator secretly then replace him with your own supporter. This supporter comes in and makes changes. That is a just me thinking aloud though. As long as it makes sense I don't mind how you do it.

Well for trade there's no-one better for that then the Commerce League which the previous owner of Konzia joined, so you're more than welcome to stay :) As for New World products, they sadly have a little downtime while I deal with a pesky invasion.

I'd vote revolution if it were me.

Sadko and Winston dont have any reason to complain, maybe if you'd sent an emissary instead of a letter to the Earthly Emperor.

( I'm playing like Imperial China acted when they met westerners. If anything I'm more cool about it I'm not expecting tribute or a kowtow)

I think he wants an ambassador to physically make the deal, rather than some foreign sovereign write a letter to his emperor.

It's not 500 soldiers taking over a country. It's one person taking over a country, with 500 supporters. The country has shot itself in the foot, having a centralized power base. With a dictatorship, simply cap off the leader, take his place and boom. Country is yours. No faff no mess.
