Hi all, sorry for the radio silence: was at work all day yesterday and was basically comatose by the time I got home. Set up the Discord, link's set for a day so if anyone's joining after than and ahead of the OOC going up, give me a shout and I'll update it!

Violet suffers from severe Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and nearly flunked out of Highschool because of this. This in conjunction with everyday life as a non-japanese person living in rural Japan has led her to be quite suicidal at times. It was one such moment when she found herself travelling to the nearest shrine she could to look for some kind of sign to continue on. It was a small shrine, one like many others in Japan where kitsune are venerated. Almost as if the world was matching her emotions, as she travelled there the sky became darker and rain began to pour heavily. Finally she arrived, only to find a strange yellow creature with many tails taking shelter from the storm. Violet decided that this was the sign she needed, and wrapped her scarf around what she believed in her muddled mental state was a large sleeping dog as a makeshift blanket. She later came to believe that perhaps it wasn't actually a dog, but couldn't remember details clearly enough to say otherwise. When she returned to the shrine days later, the creature and her scarf were nowhere to be found. Unfortunate, as that was her favorite of her scarves as well...
Miscellaneous:
- Violet is a fast and loyal friend. She's quick to trust, and for those who earn her friendship via good use of that trust, she is a steadfast supporter. Due to this, she's both good and bad at keeping secrets, as she'll gladly keep them for her friends unless another friend is the one who wants to know it, in which case it's hard for her to make up her mind as to which person should have their wishes honored.
- She has very low self-confidence. When she's with those she cares about, this is hard to see, but when by herself she has trouble even asking for extremely necessary assistance, when needed. She tries to alleviate this by listening to music that has a bolstering affect on her personality and confidence.
- She is very good at hearing out both sides of an argument, and tends to wait until she has both sides of a story before making up her mind about someone or something.
- She hates insects and insect-looking creatures with a passion. Her only exceptions are butterflies and wasps, because the former pollinates harmlessly and the latter kills other insects and spiders.

The world is a place where the strong devour the weak, and it knows and hates this. Because of this, it will often throw itself between two battling opponents to try to intervene with their conflict and force them to solve it peacefully, though this usually results in Renamon getting injured. It also has a strong sense of justice, believing that everything and everyone has value.
Backstory:
Renamon had fought many battles just outside the purview of the Digital Sovereigns, a place where digimon were more natural, more free, than within the bounds of the Sovereigns' territories. Having "grown up" so to speak in such an area, it was a surprise to Renamon when a BanchoLeomon appeared one day and defeated every digimon that challenged him. Renamon had never seen such a powerful digimon, and it was a kind one at that! It always stopped before fully defeating its opponent, and quickly grew a following via its kind nature and/or its immense power. Then one day, BanchoLeomon vanished. The power vacuum was quickly causing even more fighting than there was before BanchoLeomon appeared in the first place. Renamon tried her best to save the digimon that were weaker and had depended on BanchoLeomon's existence, growing strong enough in doing so as to digivolve. However, while she tried to stop battles that were unnecessary, she found herself fighting almost daily. Finally, she had to lure away several crueler digimon that were harassing young ones, and in doing so she and the digimon chasing her found themselves in the Analog World. She managed to escape from them and found a small shrine that seemed dedicated to her kind, just in time before it began to storm. She chose to rest there, and when she awoke, she pretended to stay asleep as a strange creature placed a large bit of fabric on her back in an apparent act of kindness. She hasn't forgotten that moment.

He's usually smiling and, when he can, wears a 10-gallon hat as a nod to his spirit partner. While his work requires him to dress classily, he prefers to be casual.

Backstory: Nobunaga grew up in Camp Zana as your typical military brat, but with one major difference: this kid didn't care about anything. He didn't seem to learn from consequences, not if the end result entertained him. He didn't do very well in school, and the concern for him only worsened when he vanished at 16.
Meanwhile, in another world, banditry in a nearby town had gotten overwhelming. When petitions to the Sovereigns did not go immediately answered, the town's leader panicked and pulled in a certain teenager to push him to contract. While this was happening, a fight had broken out at the edge of town with the chief lawman, Deputymon, trying to protect some Rookie-levels from attacking bandits. The town's leader called out to him, saying he'd gotten help, which was enough to distract Deputymon and get him lethally mauled. When the surrounding digimon begged Nobu to save the digimon, he shrugged and contracted. Soon after, the bandits were driven off, and Nobu now practically lived in the gambling house. Which is when the Sovereigns' deva showed up to answer their pleas for help from earlier.
When it was revealed what the town leader had done, the deva opened a gate and threw Nobu in before the teen could even collect his winnings. In the next year after returning home, he remained as lazy and carefree as ever, but if a digimon was detected in the area, he'd let the spirit take over to lethally remove them from the analog world. This went on for over a year before HYPNOS contacted him to work as an agent for them. He shrugged, went with it, and left home at 18. HYPNOS currently keeps him on a fairly short leash with another agent he's partnered with, to ensure he actually does his job.
Miscellaneous: Bit of a fan of American culture; currently works as a card dealer in a gambling house; usually won't bother to do anything about a digimon he spots if he's not on HYPNOS' clock at the moment.

Backstory: Always a little different from his peers, Riku has always been curious about myths and legends, spirits and monsters, and generally anything that might be seen as outside the norm, such as conspiracy theories. Because of his shy, awkward nature, he often had few friends. However with the rise of the digital age he was able to find friends online with similar interests. Through his time online, Riku came to learn more and more about bizarre happenings. Sightings of ferocious monsters, reports spirits with unfinished business. But in the background of all of them was the fact that these supernatural beings and Unidentified Mysterious Animals involved these entities just disappearing, as if fading from existence. Since then, Riku has been trying to connect the dots between sightings.

Appearance: Since becoming partners with Riku a red stripe has appeared on his head. Other than that, he resembles a normal Sunarizamon.
Backstory: Before Bruce arrived in Japan, he would travel to and from Australia from the Digital World, where he picked up the local slang from farmers and outdoorsmen. He made friends with two other Digimon, Kangarumon and Sepikmon, and the three were occasionally seen by humans; in one particular incident, a rather hungry Bruce (in his Champion form) attacked and ate several cows. As time went on, he and his friends became rivals to another group of Digimon: Hanumon, Porcupamon, and Ebidramon. In one battle, Porcupamon's allies lost to Kangarumon and Sepikmon, and in a fit of rage, Porcupamon Digivolved into a new form: Lamortmon. Lamortmon quickly defeated Kangarumon and Sepikmon before turning on Greymon and defeating him. The two returned to their Rookie forms, and so began a long and irritating relationship between Bruce and Phascomon. In the last few years, Bruce has made his way from the Digital World to Japan.

He didn't do too great in school though, mainly because by the last few hours he had trouble sitting still and concentrating. Despite that he did his best to at least not distract anyone else. Asahi honestly has no idea how he ended up in the Digital World, as far as he knows he was riding his bike hom from school one day about six months ago and suddenly found in a massive crater in the middle of a forest covered in weird eggs and machinery Curious as he was he walked up to one of them and found himself threatened by a weird giant humanoid insect. The insect was unable to harm or even touch Asahi though. After about a week he gained the digimon's trust and the two formed a contract a few days before the first egg hatched so that Jewelbeemon had a physical body to take care of the newborns. This status quo lasted until a Sovereign agent arrived and sent Asahi back to the analogue world with his partner following him out of gratitude. One of the biggest changes since coming back is that Jewelbeemon is helping Asahi stay focused by teaching him tricks from his days standing guard. Also since he had been missing for a while his parents are more strict and overprotective, so he isn't allowed to go outside as much as he used too. As a result he spends a lot more time online and has learned about DATS.

One of the biggest changes since coming back is that Jewelbeemon is helping Asahi stay focused by teaching him tricks from his days standing guard. Also since he had been missing for a while his parents are more strict and overprotective, so he isn't allowed to go outside as much as he used too. As a result he spends a lot more time online and has learned about DATS.

While it's hard to tell Dinobeemon's eyes they tend to dart across the area looking for threats. Despite being a ghost and thus incorporeal he tends to position himself so that no one can sneak up behind him. He is constantly near Asahi and watches his partners back the entire time.
Backstory: Jewelbeemon used to be a guard at the Royal Base until an army of Gran Kuwagamon led by Grandis Kuwagamon attacked. While the defenders put up a good fight they were caught by surprise and outnumbered. Eventually QueenFlymon saw no other option then to get involved herself and ended up wiping out both sides. Knowing this meant his queen would revert to an egg Jewelbeemon was determined to defend her while she was helpless even though he was death resulting in his contract with the first human he came across. A few weeks later QueenFlymon and most of the insects of the Royal Base had been reborn once a Sovereign agent arrived to keep an eye on the still weak Insect kingdom Jewelbeemon followed his partner to a different world

Kana Asakura was born as the heir to the Asakura dojo, a dojo that teaches a martial arts style known as “The Way That Qwells the Seas and Silences the Storm.” The Asakura dojo was a very strict and traditional dojo, which caused Kana to fall into delinquency and used her martial arts prowess to terrorize anyone in her way.
One day she saw a classmate being bullied by another student. Normally she would have just ignored it and moved on, however, the bullying student had pissed her off earlier, so Kana punched her out. Though as she was leaving Kana was stopped by the other student, who wanted to express her gratitude and introduced herself as Kaori. Kana got caught up in the other girl’s pace and eventually became inseparable friends.
One day, Kaori disappeared suddenly, however, before she did she left an image of a strange monster. The image was blurry and unfocused as if it was taken in a hurry, but it was clearly real. Kana attempted to take it as a clue to the police, but all attempts were ignored and oddly dismissive. Due to this Kana attempted to take matters into her own hands and investigate.

They used their remaining power to find and enter the real world in order to find a human to form a contract with to preserve their existence.
