Speaking of Christmas episodes. How would you all feel about a Santa mini event since he exists in both DC and Marvel?
I think it's a fun idea. I'm not sure it really suits the vibe of either storyline I am currently telling so I don't think Carol or the X-men would get involved but I am very happy to read it!
The rough draft idea I have is Toyman catching Santa in a trap and steals his sleigh, list, and bag of toys. He adds his own explosive toys to the bag and finally gets his revenge on Walter Dunhill by blowing him up and leaving a lump of coal behind. The incident is reported on the global news causing people around the world to believe in Santa but lose the belief in his goodness(which causes the real one to weaken even further).
His next target is Thor in Metropolis. So the heroes have to gather to stop this fake Santa, save Christmas by delivering the real toys, and save Santa. Santa then gives the heroes(including the ones that were unable to participate in the event) one special gift. You all can comment or message what you want the gift to be.
Hi all, unfortunately I have bad news. It's with a heavy heart that I must announce my departure from this RP and even writing for a while due to personal circumstances that I don't foresee being sorted out until late February/March at the earliest. This isn't a decision I've taken lightly, and I've tried to muster up the ability to give you all the roleplay you deserve, but unfortunately I don't think I can dedicate the proper mental time and energy for everyone in the roleplay to keep things going to a standard you all deserve.
With that being said, I'm not someone who's keen to pull the plug on something that everyone has dedicated time and effort in to. And I'm glad that @Cyrania who has been a great help at keeping me sane through the crazier moments in the roleplay and @King Kindred who has been working with us behind the scenes to forward plan some major events have very kindly taken the role as GM's in my absence. I'm sure the both of them could run this far better than I ever could, I am confident I'm leaving this in good hands and that they will mold what we have here into something wonderful. Please note, I don't foresee myself being able to return properly until March and so their word is law as the only GM's running everything here - any decision they make is in the capacity as the main GM.
Again, I can only apologise. It's taken me a lot of thinking to make this decision, and as much as I'd like to keep trudging forward I just can't muster up the energy to write at all currently, which is a real shame being that I never got the chance to collab after the New York event!
I'd like to thank everyone past and present in the roleplay for putting up with me while I learned the GMing ropes. I know I've not been perfect, but I hope that everyone has had fun. I can't say enough how much I appreciate all of your patience and help in running this. You're all fantastic roleplayers and I look forward to the day we get to write together again.

It won't be necessary. The hope is for Half Pint to be able to return by March at the latest and I'm already doing work to recruit more new players. We're able to edit the Zeroth posts so there's nothing that'll hinder us in the thread.
Remember, you and I faced this same change in the Kingdom Hearts RP so it'll work out without moving to a new thread.
As we transition during this time we're going to do another activity check for those who haven't posted past the two week mark. So if you haven't posted in a while, but still intend to be active please message @Cyrania or I. If not we'll still message you to make sure.
After that we'll edit the Zeroth post in the Characters Tab to show what characters are available and create a new Interest Thread to recruit new players so people will know that it's not too late to join and that we're actively recruiting. If you know anyone who'd be interested in joining us, please spread the word. Even if they want to create an OC rather than play as a canon character. As long as their OOC can fit well into DC/Marvel they are more than welcome to do so.

I do love that idea of "How The Toyman Stole Christmas", but i will point out that it could take a while to write, as in, we could still be doing it in the new year. As a counter-proposal, i recently did run something that could work for something like this and it'd be a fairly short adventure that could easily be over in a few posts:
On Christmas Eve another Alien visitor crashes to earth, it lands in a barn in the middle of no-where in a pod. A bunch of Heroes show up to the farm, along with a number of villainous groups.
An example of people who may show up being: *Thor, Captain Marvel and Starfire (The Three Wise King/Queens, Bailey is holding the Wisdom of a King in him.) *Graydon Creed and a bunch of the Friends of Humanity (The Shepard and his Flock) *Lex's Minions (The men of the ruler who would have no other before him.) *Static (The little drummer boy)
The details of the idea are obviously subject to change, but that's a rough idea that i think can be done in just a few posts from everyone involved.

I had a lot of ideas with Thomas, but mental energy hasn't been here and I can't abide by holding up things on my end for much longer. If the game is still alive after winter holidays and tax season I'll see about re-applying but I can't promise anything.

While living on Midgard (Earth), Loki met a confident young blonde who seemed immune to his charms. Curiosity urged him onward, and they soon formed a relationship that turned serious. In order to protect her from other powerful beings that might wish them harm, Loki empowered Sylvie and taught her how to wield magic. When she accidentally got pregnant - something she suspects may not have been wholly natural - the two decided to make it official and get married. They seemed like the perfect couple, and Loki was a very present, doting father in the beginning. He helped foster Vilhem’s innate magical talent from a very early age, teaching him to control the destructive force he wielded to try and curb the frequency of incidents like setting the furniture on fire during temper tantrums as a toddler. Together, they raised Vilhelm until one day Loki just disappeared. He removed nearly every trace of himself from their home, leaving behind only his wedding ring.
As a newly single mother, Sylvie returned home to her parents’ farm in Caddo County, Oklahoma. While his mother worked multiple jobs to make ends meet, Vilhelm grew up helping his grandparents out with crops and livestock, and has a special affinity for chickens, ducks, and geese. The privacy of their rural farm has also afforded him a safe place to practice and perfect the chaos magic he utilises.
Recently, it’s seemed like the world just keeps getting crazier and crazier. Vilhelm stumbled across a forum where people post about supernatural and occult phenomena. While a fair bit of it is just junk, there have been some credible events and encounters that went unresolved. When people started getting hurt, that sense of moral responsibility and a little inspiration from a hero who took on the persona of his uncle spurred him into action. Vilhelm began scouring online forums, watching streamers, and joining group chats to track the unexplainable. Thus began his own career as a young hero fighting against the occult and mythological that threatened the world as the hero "Asgardian" in honour of his father.

◼ Queerness in the public eye Although Vilhelm is a twist on Billy Kaplan (Asgardian, and later Wiccan), I do want to keep the crucial aspect of his queer identity. Vilhelm is unlikely to be a hero as well known as Thor, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t face public scrutiny. I want to explore that as a hero who is also queer. I also have plans to add my own personal touch of nuance to the mix because he's the son of Loki who is known for fluidity in gender and presentation by portraying Vilhelm as FtM transgender growing up in rural Oklahoma. I grew up in a similar small town farming community just like Vilhelm basically 4 hours south in Texas, and I think I can bring an fresh, queer perspective to the character. It'll be interesting to work through Vilhelm’s decision to be an openly queer hero and the potential consequences of that as well as the positive outcomes.
