OK, so I noticed that we're using an older map but referencing modern locations.

Now, I'm familiar with the Narrows as being 'the worst part' of Gotham. In the Dark Knight movies (not sure about the Gotham series) Arkham Asylum is located in the Narrows.
In the comics during the time that this game's map was created the Bowery (which is where Crime Alley aka Park Row is also located) was designated as the worst part of town.
So for the sake of the game, are the Narrows and the Bowery two different locations? Or the same?

Devil's Square I am sadly not familiar with. Is this also within the bad part of town?

If it's anything that's been created since the map, you can just imagine it squeezing in there somewhere. For example Burnside. As far as the worst part of Gotham, the whole damn city's a mess. Every part of it is just as screwed as the next in some form or fashion. Also depends I guess where your character has ties. Some homeless kid might think midtown is the worst. Some may think the docks are the worst. Sure you get the idea now LOL

EDIT: Also trying to work on a post but I've got some other games I need to post in as well. Working on multiple posts at the same time is a bitch LOL

Maybe I was over-thinking things, but I just want any us getting confused as to where our characters are within the game.

I've had a few hiccups with getting started writing, but I think I have a decent enough idea for an intro post now. My character will be at the docks in Waterfront (that's section 10 on the map) causing problems with an incoming shipment for most likely Stagg Industries. @The Kid Lantern if you have a problem with me placing Stagg Industries in Gotham then I can easily change it Wayne Enterprises.

It's cool man, I've been working on splitting my time up with Gotham IC posts, the UNIVERSAL iCheck and accepting more people for that game, as well as working on building up STRIKE and my new character for the aforementioned game in the IC. Been a rough couple of days with only about 4 hours sleep total LOL

There are riddles but Cluemaster and his cohorts have posted clues to the answer under them in order to aggravate Riddler.

Posted. How low-profile is Kyle? I mean could other vigilantes like, say, Wildcat have heard of him? I mean cops with powers aren't exactly a common thing after all, at least not in Gotham.

Hmmm, from what I expect of Kyle and the personality that I imagine for him it would be unknown that there would be a cop with superpowers unless a criminal escaped being apprehended by him during a very public and blunt display of magic or other people watching him do his thing on-duty. His use of magic on-duty is limited to mostly subtle things but in this case at Devil' Square, it's a more flashier incident that what he regularly does at work.

He also does his entire if not most of his vigilante stuff off-duty so that his police work and well... miscellaneous work don't mix up into some nasty business where someone has figure out who he is. However, that would be unlikely as Kyle doesn't really have an alias to tag his deeds to be recognized so it's pretty hard to find him. With nothing defining on what his 'persona' is as well, makes it annoyingly hard to track from an event-to-event basis as he could be wearing anything unless you plan stalking him 24/7 daily. With the prompt of asking who he is, he simply claims to be 'a good samaritan' which sooner or latter might as well just become his vigilante nickname if his activities start getting too noticeable while continuing to not leave anything he does attached to anything (I might just do that lol).

Stacking on top of that is the fact that any bystanders who see him use magic are 'convinced' (via magical means) that something else (more normal) happened so his identity/powers remain hidden (it's also a free therapy session for the victim in the incident as well). So general, he is a completely unknown no doubt and will probably remain so as his desire to remain unknown is pretty strong.

tldr

Nobody knows him or about his vigilante experience as he's just a good anonymous samaritan who doesn't want to be recognized and takes measure to remain so
