Dorothy Pender

Location: Med Bay Exterior

Dorothy let out a bit of an irritated sigh, hearing the Preacher's speech. She glanced at the boy, almost in sympathy, at his captivity including the Bible "fearing" man. With each curse that left the Preacher's mouth, and especially whenever he decided to drink, she couldn't help but be reminded of her own father. The man was perhaps the best example of Alliance loving scum there was, Dorothy's father.

At Daphne just brushing the entire thing off and walking away, Dorothy chuckled a bit to herself. That was so typical of her sister, just marching into a situation, making a choice, and walking off. She shook her head a bit, standing with her back straight as she returned her attention to Atticus. "Just like mei-mei said. It was in a medical supply kit that she found in the mines," Dorothy said. The boy didn't seem to need much more medical attention, and the crackle of the comm certainly caused Dorothy to stop in her tracks.

She sighed, rubbing her face with her hands. "I swear...If someone could go one gorrham minute without getting themselves killed...." Fetching her medical kit, Dorothy loaded in a few of the provisions that Daphne had fetched from the mine. She shrugged slightly at Atticus, before politely asking him to tend to the boy, and if he had to harm the lad to keep him quiet, so be it. She had plenty of antibiotics for any infections that might develop.

"If Gen is insisting that meditation means she's fine, and there's a shard of metal in her leg..." Dorothy grumbled to herself, searching for Jackson and the Captain.

@FantasyChic @Pundii- Gene is able to get the fire out and everything. Anisa looks over towards Jackson and groans at the com before motioning to have him help her over to the com. "Message heard, I will send out the sisters to retrieve you with Gideon so he can see if he can get your ship back up and runnin," Anisa says in a terse voice through the com before shutting it off and looking back over towards Jackson. "I am going to start shooting people myself," she groans.

@Bluesky44 @Morose - Atticus agrees to watch the kid and takes a seat by him, pulling out his bible and grinning a little too happily. Anisa is outside with Jackson when Daphne brings out the "little black box" and Anisa perks a brow as she reaches out and takes it on one hand as she steadies herself by leaning back against Jackson, trying to keep her weight off her injured leg. "Where did you get this?" she asks as she looks it over, seeing the Alliance seal she looks at Jackson and then back to the box. She stiffens against him as she takes note to the numbers on the side of the box. "Gorham!" she hisses from between clenched teeth. She points to the numbers, they would know them well. It was the numbers assigned to their unit during the valley of Serenity. Looking back towards Daphne, "You, Dorthy, and Gideon. Get the coordinates on Gene's shuttle and go get her and my shuttle. Jackson and I will take care of this."

@Sigil @Pundii @Dragoknighte - Jahosafat places a set of fingers to his lips as he listens to Foy and nods once his old friend has done spouting his verbage. "Indeed you most dapper of men," he chuckles as he picks up his hat and gives a grand bow as it spins through his fingers. Hearing Carla being instructed to their position he steps over to the door and sets in the normal security. She would need to use her code to to enter but she could get in now. He wasn't just going to unlock the blasted thing with a Reaver there in their presence. "I dare say, this is most exciting. I did not think it would make my blood rush as it does but the prospect of what could lay ahead. Well by George, I feel like a debutante about to face the ton at Court for the first time. I might even insist on a Waltz before this evening is over!" he says with glee as he steps back over to the gentlemen. Clapping his hands together and raising up playfully on the balls of his feet for a moment he looks between the two of them and grins broadly. "So, who will be my first partner?"

@Dragoknighte - Camilla chuckles a bit as she watches Lionel. "Meat is meat, better than what we have in store in the kitchen. I'm up for it if you think you are," she says as she steps over to the man and takes his hand. Leaning down she wraps her other around his back and helps him slowly to his feet. Doing what she can to help him get outside. "Going to get some thing's," she says before heading back inside. She is off to get some knives and steel bins from the kitchen so they have somewhere to put whatever meat they can salvage in. Outside the horse that had the kid pinned down is still bleeding out. Only a small handful of flies have made their way to the carcass as of yet but it is only a matter of time before more come. It's hot out, so the meat it probably not going to hold long if they don't work fast - it has already been out there some time. Camilla comes back and hands over a butchers knife as she looks at Lionel. "Ever cut up a horse for food before?"

The getting out of bed part was the most difficult one. Once Lionel was on his feet, everything went much more smoothly. As long as he kept his back held completely straight, the injury wasn't too intrusive on his movements and actions. He accepted the butcher knife from Camillia and looked at the horse carcass with the eyes of one who didn't plan on losing to a dead body.

"Not at all, but horse anatomy ain't all that different from that of any other mammal. Four legs, most of the organs are in similar places. Weak points at the joints. We aren't a-tryin' to do a professional meat shop job on this. Just as long as we don't cock it up too severely, it'll be fine." That said, Lionel decided to go for the easy part first. Shooing the flies off of the horse, Lionel approached the rear end of the horse slowly crouched to inspect its legs.

"Think horse leg will be good eating? I'll do the chopping if you help move the leg to a more... compliant position than its current situation."

Foy Coiffeur

Location: Lounge (Sealed Off)

Foy nodded in agreement with Jahosafat's responding monologue as it was going along. The eccentric behavior of the pair of them, particularly when in conjunction with their overly developed vocabulary and propensity toward being overly polite to one another had been thought akin to the antics of a pair of obscure cartoon characters from Earth That Was; similarly behaved talking rodents that went by the vintage monikers of "The Goofy Gophers". Not that more than twelve people in their present solar system had heard of Looney Tunes, let alone viewed the cartoons in question. It could be argued, however, that the antics of said gophers may very well have been a founding influence upon the prescribed behavior or the aristocratic classes of the planet Farraday. That is, if Mr. Coiffeur and Dr. Moreau were any indication.

They were certainly two peas in a frighteningly polite, sociopathic pod. Rather than turn their remarkable skills upon another as opportunities of convenience suggested, they were as brothers, thick and thin. Even for tasks as simultaneously piquing and repugnant as this.

"Indubitably, my good Jahosafat. I should be honored to present myself as the introductory volunteer for your scientific escapades. Tell me good sir, shall you be utilizing a hypodermic for the purposes of collecting my sanguineous humours, or will a workout of light fisticuffs prove sufficient to get the heart moving, prior to the rupture of a smaller vessel? I assure you, I'm still game either route."

Foy checked his very elaborate platinum pocketwatch. It had been a small piece of time since the resident Assassin should have been there. He wondered what the holdup could be. Perhaps she too had found a moderate amount of joy torturing the poor Yeoman, and was reluctant to give up a moment of levity at someone else's expense. Then again, like himself, Carla was every bit the professional. At least that is what he remembered of her, the few times they had worked together.

So, shall we transport our savage and unconscious acquaintance back to the Cargo Bay, or is it direct to Medical for the unfortunate reprobate?"

William Harper

Location: Upper Engineering

Liam tarried in Upper Engineering for a time, enjoying seeing the technical heart of the ship. As the cores rotated, he contented himself to name off the exposed components first as they came into his vision, followed by the internal mechanisms, and finally the basic engine specs. It felt good to be in Engineering again, even if he was just viewing from above.

So long as he was up there, he didn't want to bother the guy actually assigned as the Ship's Engineer, so contented himself to examine the readouts and displays located around him. Upper Engineering was good for tourists who knew to keep their hands to themselves. Most of what could be learned, apart from cracking open the engines and looking firsthand, could be gleaned from careful observation and interpretation of the information provided up here.

William was at home in this room as he was the Pilot's chair. If they could get a proper terminal network with full blackbox precautions somewhere in this ship, all he would need is a bathroom and a bunk to be happy. For right now though, he contented himself with the comfortable, familiar feel of Engineering. Perhaps later, he'd schedule some time with the guy tending the screws, as it were. Really find out the quirks of this boat. Yeah, maybe once he was a little more comfortable with the rest of the crew. All in good time.

Daphne Pender

Location: Outside -> Engine Room -> Cargo Bay

She handed the box over to the Captain, there was nothing more she could do with it. Hopefully they hadn't stumbled upon something that could get them killed, or worse. That box was a mystery to her, but she figured that the Captain would know better about what to do about it than she would. Daphne wandered over to the Engine Room, looking for Gideon. She found him with ease and looked over towards him. "Come on Gideon, we need to leave ship again and go find Gene". Seems like they will be leaving the ship again today. She felt like they were leaving the ship, more than they were fixing it. Daphne figured that she should head off to find her sister again, since she was going to be leaving with them.

Leaving the Engine Room, she went back downstairs to find her sister again. She saw Dorothy after a few minutes and smiled. "Come on Dory, hurry up. Gene just had to go and crash the shuttle. Hopefully we can get there and back quickly so that Gideon can get back to fixing the ship though," she said, and wandered over to the vehicle that she and Gideon had used earlier. Daphne hopped on board and started powering it up, and waiting for the other two to get in. She got the coordinates for the shuttle. She was ready to set off outside again.

As she exited the shuttle, Gene thought about what she could do. She was sure that they would send some help along soon, so she didn't want to travel far. Plus, she didn't know what would be around. She assumed Gideon would be coming with, perhaps Dorothy in case she was seriously injured. She wondered if they were pissed off at her. Not like she purposefully crashed her ship. She was bored, surely they knew that she still had a job to do. She couldn't just stay on the ship.

She decided she may as well relax then. Perhaps meditate on the situation on hand. With her weapons on hand, she found a nice plot of land near her ship and sat down and meditated. She hoped she would be able to tell her client what happened and he would be understanding. If repairs were done quickly enough, she could possibly still make her meeting, though she would probably be a little late. Was it worth it though?

Location: Med Bay Exterior ---> Cargo Bay

Before she had even left to search for Jackson and Anisa, Daphne had already come back with Gideon in toe. She eyed the rambunctious engineer, a bit confused that Anisa would be sending him away, along with the doctor, in their current situation. Her heart broke a bit at the thought that Anisa was sending her away, due to her past. It didn't explain why Camilla wasn't being sent as well, if that was the case, but the heart is seldom logical. However, at Daphne's crass words, her fears were shoved to the back of her mind. The Captain and herself were best friends. She likely just decided to send Dorothy out to fetch Gene in case the girl had snapped her ankle in the process.

"You're always rush rush rush," Dorothy joked, smoothing the slight creases out of her top. It was hypocritical, of course. As much as Dorothy admired organization and logical thinking, she had an impulsive streak. Gullible, as well. Gideon had managed to trick her on a few occasions. "Did you even stop to consider what shape we might find our companion in?" Dorothy asked, following her sister into the Cargo Bay and jumping into the vehicle with her.

On a normal day, Dorothy would've fretted over Gene much more. But today, she had already been on the army doctor's last nerve. And with the added mess Gene added to her plate, Dorothy couldn't help but be slightly irritated with the girl. Resolving to explain to Gene once and for all why she had no place in the medical bay without Dorothy's consent, she relaxed a bit in the vehicle, rolling her eyes at Gideon's usual jokes and mannerisms. It was no secret that the kid had a crush on her little sister.

"Come on, let's get this over with."

Carla Lobo

Location: The Lounge

Carla made her way over to the lounge where she was called. Whatever the boys were discussing had obviously reached that point where they felt comfortable bringing in lower clearance pawns like herself in. Well, not so much a pawn since she was allowed on the ship even when most of the rest of the crew was excised. The Alliance probably saw her as a Castle or a Knight. Still not allowed into the inner sanctums of the Bishops and Kings, but skilled and useful enough to try keeping around as long as possible. The assassin was nominally surprised when the door didn't open automatically. Hazarding a guess, she entered the keycode, which the door seemed to respond to.

Carla found the three men standing around: the newcomer Jahosafat looking relaxed but excited, Foy glancing at his very expensive looking pocketwatch, and Captain Quinn staring rapiers into the first-mentioned crew member. Only Jahosafat's body language seemed to imply complete relaxation; Gregory was clearly more rigid than an iron girder, a step above even his usual demeanor, and while Foy appeared to be his usual flamboyantly chipper self, to the trained eye residual tenseness of the shoulders and back was visible. Nothing much more could be immediately gathered from the scenario, and Carla wasn't interested in trying to read further into the situation. The assassin stepped into the room and stood at attention: a gesture that was probably wasted in this particular circumstance, but came naturally from her training in the Agency and dealing directly with the Alliance for years.

"I was called for?" Carla asked, her gaze directed at Gregory. Her demeanor of stoicism cracked as she furrowed her eyebrows and sniffed a couple times. "Is that urine I smell?"

Jackson Tanner

Location: Outside

Jackson remained relatively quiet through the instance as he helped Anisa over to the com and let her speak up in a reply to Gene, hopefully recovering her wouldn't be too much of an issue, but the scenario they were in was progressively getting more and more complicated, and that served to only really concern Jackson as he continued to let the captain rest against him, sighing as he stood there, watching the others come out.

Looking over the box as Anisa took hold of it, he raised an eyebrow as he let her examine it at first, not realizing what it was until she turned it and showed the numbers to him. His gut sank down to his boots as he watched it, looking up to Dorothy for a moment as he remained rather silent, eventually turning his head to face Anisa as he sighed, nodding his head. "This could only be good." He said quietly, more to himself than anything.

Gregory Quinn

Location: Lounge (Sealed Off)

Finding himself mildly irritated by the tones of those he was with, Quinn remained silent as he watched the two until Jahosafat turned toward him. Sighing, he nodded his head once, turning his gaze toward Foy as he spoke up again. "I will volunteer for afterward, just ensure this doesn't take too long, doctor." He said plainly as he watched the man closely, turning his gaze toward the door as Carla moved in with the code he had provided.

Finally he felt more at ease, having the presence of someone he trusted, at least to a degree, as opposed to the two men he couldn't trust as far as he could flick a toenail. "Doctor Moreau has informed me of the experiments he is taking part in with us, considering their nature, I figured you will be the best equipped to ensure complete security for them, need be, he can fill you in on the specifics." Quinn said, glancing over to Jahosafat with a slight nod before turning back to Carla.

@FantasyChic @Bluesky44 @Morose - The rid out there for group is pretty calm and nothing is out of the ordinary. You all get to Gene pretty quickly and without issue. Gideon heads straight into the ship and starts getting to work on trying to get the damn thing back off the ground, you can hear him mumbling under his breath but nothing of what he is saying an be made out. A few bruises are going to be on Gene's body, slowly forming and becoming more and more blue. The small gash is still bleeding but nothing horrid. Might be a good idea to get out of there as quickly as possible with everything going on with Patience.

@Sigil @Pundii @Dragoknighte - Jahosafat grins broadly as Carla enters and gives her a rather large bow. "Mi'lady, I look forward to getting your help with this! It is truly going to be the most intriguing situation. I will leave you to be filled in by the Captain here while my fine associate and I move this little bit of cargo over to the medical bay. Oh and I will need you both post haste to get some blood drawn. The sooner we can get that done the sooner we can get all this delicious activity under way!" Jahosafat says in a rather giddy tone, he sounds as excited as a child on Christmas morning. Turning he motions for Foy to give him a hand and starts moving the crate over to the medical bay. Once their he rolls his sleeves up and gathers what he needs. "Alright my good friend, let me tap some of that fine blood of yours," he says holding up the hypodermic.

@Pundii Anisa rubs her face before motioning for Jackson to help her back into the ship. "My quarters before we open this," she said as she tucks the box under her arm, whispering against his ear. Wobbling slowly through the ship and up the stairs she groans as she makes it down the ladder to her quarters and flops into a chair, resting the box on a table in her room. Looking over the crate she tries to get it open but nothing she tries works. "It's either pry the damn thing open or..." she starts to say before looking back over at Jackson. "We get someone who is Alliance to open it... Go get Camilla and keep it quiet," she said as she pushes her hair out of her face. They had others on the ship that had worked for the Alliance but Camilla had been higher rank and more with the covert sections. She hoped she would be the best bet to help with this.

@Dragoknighte - "Whatever. It works for me. Meat is meat as far as I am concerned at this point," Camilla says as she helps move the leg into place and waits for Lionel to make the cut. Little by little they are able to get more and more of the horse carved away. Once it seems they have what they can get, or at least what they want to get at this point, Camilla puts the knives back into the cart she brought out that now houses the meat and grumbles a bit. "Do you have any idea how to cook horse? Or are we just going to do this like we would any slab of beef?" she asks as she helps Lionel over to the cart so they can push it inside, hoping he can at least lean against it some while they move it into the ship.

"If," Lionel said, speaking in between grunts as he pushed the cart with Camilla. They weren't so much grunts of pain as simply exertion noises. The contents of the cart were rather heavy. "I knew anything specific about the consumption of somethin' like a horse I assure you disseminatin' that knowledge to you would have been one of my first actions upon takin' up this particular fucking mission. Besides, it's a bunch of slabs of meat. Throw it on a stove top, add some salt 'n' pepper, cook it til it's brown. If we had available to us more vegetables we could cut the meat up, throw it into a pot with them and some liquid and make a stew."

Carla Lobo

Location: The Lounge

"Understood," Carla replied to Quinn. She stood there and listened and watched the reactions of the other men. Jahosafat's demeanor was off-putting. She was not averse to having her blood taken, but the way the man acted did in no way bring any sort of comfort about the direction the ship's mission was going. A man this excited about taking blood wasn't to be trusted for an instant. But her employer was still Gregory Quinn and the job was just providing security for this eccentric man's 'experiments,' so she wouldn't be entirely subject to the scientist's whims.

Foy Coiffeur

Location: Lounge -> Med Bay

Absolutely, sir." responded Foy cheerfully. It was as if Jahosafat had just asked the man if he wanted to be treated to a haircut and a good steak. "I shall take the back end of the box this time, Doctor. On the previous, I could not see my path and very nearly lost a fingernail taking a corner."

Foy wasn't being completely honest about the situation. True, there was a close call while the large box was being transitioned out of the Cargo Bay that the Gentleman Barber found particularly distasteful, but the primary reason lay with his armament. In order to get a decent grip on the front end while carrying it last time, he had to remove the quick release holders for his holdout pistols. What with the new knowledge of Reavers in stasis aboard the Retribution, Foy was loathe to disarm, especially when four large bore rounds were a flick of the wrist away. It seemed quite a bother otherwise.

The word of the extremely well groomed man was true to his intentions. He grabbed the back end of the safeguarded, black box and heaved it from the floor with a soundless press of back and leg muscles. The wiry man was a bit stronger than he looked, it seemed. As the ominous box moved from the Lounge, Foy gave a debonair nod and smile to both the Captain (henceforth always to be Captain, and not the more common means of address) and Carla. He intoned a polite, "Ma'am." to the lady assassin while he passed by.

In short order, Foy found himself in Medical, with the company of Jahosafat and a Box of Reaver to feed his interest. Very well then, Dr. Moreau." he began, rolling up his sleeve to disengage just the one of his concealable holsters, "Let us see what dangers lurk within the confines of my scarlet humours, old boy."

Dorothy Pender

Location: Crash Site

Hopping off of the shuttle, Dorothy grabbed her medical kit, hurrying over to Gene at a brisk jog. However, instead of finding the girl with a broken leg, she was doing exactly what Dorothy expected. She was meditating, bleeding gash, bruises, and all. Letting out an exasperated sigh, Dorothy paused, wondering what she was supposed to do, exactly.

"Guhn kwai, Gideon. Best be gone before Patience comes back," Dorothy cautioned. "And Gene...You chai neow...You're crazy," Dorothy chuckled, wiping a tear away from her eye. After nearly losing the Captain, and Gene's behavior, the day had been a bit of a roller coaster. The sight of the Alliance box hadn't helped matters either. But at the end of it all, Dorothy was Gene's friend as well. Grabbing a sterilizing wipe out of her kit, she set to work on tending to the cut, in order to keep it from developing an infection. It wasn't all too bad, and Dorothy didn't feel the need to bandage it. For bruises, there wasn't much for her to do. She was of the "tough love" field of medicine when it came to bruises. In her days in the army, any soldier who couldn't handle a bruise had no business fighting in the war.

"Don't run off like that again, 'specially not when the Captain is hurt," Dorothy cautioned, her voice careful yet stern. "What'd we'd done if you'd gotten yourself killed for some gorrham client?" Clicking her tongue slightly, Dorothy packed up her medical kit, glancing around the crash site. Hopefully Gideon wouldn't take too much longer, and she placed her gear back inside of the shuttle.

"Don't do any jin joh bu chi chi fah joh," Dorothy added, calling out to Gideon.

She heard the shuttle approach before she opened her eyes and saw them arrive. She smiled a bit before resuming her meditation. She was thankful she remained relatively unharmed on this unknown planet. She was lucky to be alive. She would have to make it up to everyone for the trouble she seemed to cause, although she had not wanted to cause any. A simple appointment was all it was.

Gideon ran past and she gave him a simple nod in thanks, she knew he'd have his hands full with repairs. The doctor followed suit. She remained seated as she braced for more backlash from the doctor. What happened, however; was not what she expected. Though stern, the doctor seemed genuinely relieved that she was all right. It warmed her heart. It seems their relationship was not altogether broken, it was just bumped and bruised, much like her body. She felt better with her cut being taken care of. She opened her eyes again to look Dorothy in the eyes, "I imagine you all would have to find another overpriced hooker to fill my role." she said with a smile.

"Thank you all for coming. Truly. I didn't mean to cause this much trouble, but I expected to be back before anything happened. A simple appointment and this is what happened." She sighed before she stood up and brushed herself off, waiting for Gideon to finish repairs.

She got out of the vehicle and watched as Gideon walked into the shuttle to fix it. Daphne was wondering how long this would take. With Patience and her goons running around, it was best not to stay here for very long. Plus Gideon had to go fix the main ship so that they could leave. Her mind started wandering, and she thought about taking a nap while Dorothy and Gideon were busy, but decided against it. Someone should pay attention to the area around them. Gene looked like she was fine, and Dorothy was capable of fixing her up easily, so Daphne had nothing really to do. "Well, if you only have a few cuts and bruises, then maybe the shuttle isn't too badly damaged," she said to Gene, giving her a smile.

She wandered away from the crash, looking around the area, keeping an eye out for any sign of trouble coming their way. The area the site looked just like the area around the ship. Daphne preferred the cover that the mine had, allowing them to be a little more careless about keeping watch. Here though, they were a little more out in the open, which worried her. With the other two busy, Daphne stood watch, she wanted to know if they had to make a run for it or not.

"You know neither of us will like what's in this thing?" Jackson commented idly as he took Anisa's arm around his shoulders, starting to take her into the ship and through the narrow halls toward her quarters with a little difficulty. Kicking open the ladder chute, he kept a hand on her as she climbed down, carefully coming down himself afterward as he let it close above them, turning his gaze over to her as she set the box down.

He watched for a moment or two as she worked on opening the box, as she suggested prying it open he moved to do so immediately, pausing as she made her next order. He watched her for a moment or two before sighing, not bothering to argue as he made his way to the ladder, muttering something to himself. "She might just send it all to her fiance." He muttered idly as he climbed up, starting to make his way through the ship. He didn't exactly have a great beef with Camilla, he just didn't particularly trust her as he made his way back outside the ship, setting his eyes on her.

Reaching up to his mouth, he slipped two fingers into it and let out a sharp whistle before he called out. "Camilla! Get your 屁股 back inside! Cap' needs ya." He said as he set his hands on his shoulders, watching her in the distance as she pushed the cart with Lionel.

Gregory Quinn

Location: Lounge (Sealed Off)

Turning his gaze between Jahosafat and Carla, Quinn cleared his throat as he moved over to the woman, speaking quietly. "Don't be concerned about putting a bullet in his experiments if you feel it's necessary." He said plainly, Quinn still didn't exactly trust Jahosafat, but he trusted Carla's judgement in a heartbeat, she would know what would be best to do in a situation which called for quick action. Turning his gaze toward Jahosafat and Foy before they left, he cleared his throat. "I'll be in my office, when you're ready to take my blood, doctor."

Giving the man a nod, and then one to Carla, he made his way out and back down the hall toward his office, sighing as he moved inside and closed the door, moving to his desk as he looked over the file still sitting there, letting his fist clench for a moment before he took in a breath, holding in his frustration for a moment.

@FantasyChic @Bluesky44 @Morose - Gideon gets to work, several long curses in Chinese follow and there is a lot of banging and scowling looks as he runs his hands through his hair. "This is going to take a bit. Daphne, can you fly Gene back to the ship? Dorothy, can you stick with me in case I blow myself up?" he says with a sly wink and a chuckle before getting back to work. The wounds are tended to simple enough but it will be a while before he can get the shuttle back up and running. "If all hell breaks loose back at the ship Daphne, you can take off, just stay in atmo for the love of god until I get the hull breaches taken care of.."

@Sigil @Pundii @Dragoknighte - Jahosafat quickly takes several vials of blood from Foy and labels them before setting them off to the side. "Would you two be kind enough to fetch the other containers and bring them up this way while I go and harvest some of our illustrious Captain crimson? I shan't but be a few ticks," he says quickly before gathering up what he needs and heading over towards the Captains office. Knocking on the door and waiting for the "all clear" before entering. Stepping over towards the Captain he lays out his equipment and gives a broad smile. "Jacket off and sleeve rolled up if you would sir and I can get this over with as quick as two shakes of a lambs tail," he says in a jovial manner. While he sets up the hypodermic and waits for Captain to do as asked he grins a bit. "I look forward to reaching Whitefall, it has been far too long since I have been able to see the stunning Camilla. You must be excited as well to see her, she has always spoken so kind of you but there was always a pain there in her voice when she did," he says as he looks out of the corner of his eye towards Quinn. "You know, she worries about you still to this day."

@Pundii @Dragoknighte - Camilla nods as she pushes the cart into the kitchen area and pulls over a stool for Lionel to sit down on. Meanwhile Anisa shakes her head slightly towards Jackson. "As much as she sets me on end Jackson, she left the Alliance because of him and has been loyal to us. I know it will never sit right with you, but give her a little slack," Anisa says before glancing over to him. "Ever think us hating her because of what Quinn did is as bad as Quinn hating us because of what happened to him?" she asks before sighing and looking down. "Ever feel like we are becoming the monsters we hate..." she says with a bit of a sigh before waving him off to get Camilla. Camilla looks over as she hears the whistle and cocks a brow towards Jackson. "Yes sir, right away," she says formally before glancing towards Lionel. "I'll be back to help as soon as I can," she says quickly before rushing off towards Jackson. "Where is the Captain sir?"

Carla Lobo

Location: The Lounge->Med Bay

Every second that seemed to pass brought with it more and more bad omens and red flags for the situation. Enough to be worrying even for somebody like Carla. She didn't let it show, but it was disconcerting nonetheless. Quinn's preemptive admission of using deadly force on whatever Jahosafat was working on did not bode well. Quinn was a man of decisive action, but this felt a bit much, even for him. Such brooding and contemplation was short lived as the all the men left the room, headed either for the medical bay or in the case of Captain Quinn, the Captain's Quarters. Although she was loathe to admit it, with Quinn and Jahosafat gone, it felt as if two great weights were lifted from the room.

That said, there was no use in standing around here, her job was to provide security for Jahosafat and his experiments, it was paramount that she completed her mission. Even if security jobs were boring as all get out. Even more so for security aboard space ships. Planetside security jobs at least had a slight chance of seeing some action. Carla made her way over to the Med Bay just in time to hear the scientist ask Foy and Dr. Knochengeiger to carry some supplies back over to the Captain's quarters. She did her best to quietly hide herself away from the good doctor's sight as he left. Best not to bother him with her presence whenever possible. And it would probably be more important to guard the supplies. Make sure Foy and Friedrich don't get lost on their way towards Quinn.

Dorothy Pender

Location: Crash Site

"Don't be silly," Dorothy insisted, finishing tending to Genevieve's wounds. "We would get a kai tze next time. The Captain'd be thrilled, pick him out herself." She chuckled a bit, stepping back. She didn't reply to Genevieve about the trouble she caused--the girl needed to learn how the world worked, as naive as she was, it was the only way for her to learn. If Dorothy forgave her and told her it didn't matter, then the same situations would happen over and over again.

"Jien ta duh guay is that ship entirely fine," Dorothy observed, nodding at Daphne before she wandered off. She pursed her lips slightly, feeling frustrated with her sister. They always seemed to be out of sync, constantly missing each other. But regardless, she nodded at Gideon, consenting to remain behind with him. It was an army habit, never leaving anyone behind. And with Gideon, he might need an extra brain, since he hardly tended to use his own.

"You must think I'm some hu li jing," Dorothy sighed, rolling her eyes at Gideon. "How much longer till you get her fixed up, however? I really don't fancy the idea of being stuck out here for more than a few hours. Practically asking for Patience's gorrham goons to come by and rough us up some."

Foy Coiffeur

Location: Med Bay -> Upper Corridor

"That is a prodigious amount of blood, Josie." remarked Foy as the vials were filled, labelled, and set aside. "I do hope the intent is not to grow another me, good sir. I daresay the 'Verse just isn't capable of handling that much raw, genteel refinement." He chuckled a self-assured "Ho Hooooo... Perhaps one day."

Foy wiped a tear away from the corner of his eye, genuinely impressed with his own joke. When the request to deliver the other two crates was put to him, the stately gentleman leapt at the task. "Absolutely, Dr. Moreau. We shall set upon it straightaway. Right, Miss Lo..." Foy stopped, noting that Carla was already leaving the room. He had assumed that his childhood friend was speaking to himself and the other private contractor in the vicinity. The only other person nearby at the time was the Retribution's dedicated Medical Officer, Dr. Friedrich Knochengeiger.

Okay, perhaps Jahosafat meant him. Foy rolled his head back to face the slender physician. "Well then, Freddy... Oh, may I call you Freddy? Informality lightens heavy labors, I find. At any rate, we appear to find ourselves in the interesting position of being each others' dance partners for the interim. So, shall one of us follow the other, or would it be more sporting to stride abreast and speak of gentlemanly things along the way? I have acquired the most interesting reproduction of the personal writings of the legen(wait for it)dary pugilist John L. Sullivan, if that fits your interest, sir."

The Ship's Doctor stared at Foy with wordless distaste for a few scant seconds, really letting tension build in the room before issuing a coldly venomous hiss in the form of mostly articulated words, "Nein. You hired hands are here for lifting and following orders. Now if you will excuse me, I have something Medical that needs my attention." The gaunt Doctor clicked his heels together, adjusted an imaginary monocle, and walked briskly from the Med Bay.

Foy was slightly taken aback. That was callously unnecessary, even for a man as generally disagreeable as Dr. Knochengeiger. Especially considering Foy's own status on the social hierarchy. It invoked immediate irritation that he kept very well hidden. Curiosity did find him, though. The dapper gentleman found himself peeking around the door and into the main corridor, watching where his "new best friend" might have been going with such importance. The Doctor ascended a ladder nearby, taking him away from both Cargo and most anything medical. "How very interesting, Freddy." remarked Foy to himself, "Let us see what you are really doing..." Obviously, Foy followed the man. Up stairs and trailing back a ways, just to see what room he would enter.

When he saw the man stop at a restroom closet door, he stopped short. Even let loose a chuckle, despite himself. The door swung open just enough to allow the physician entry, but it also allowed Foy to see a single red banner across the door. From this distance it could not be clearly read, but the meaning of it was known: Out of Service. Foy giggled again, raising his hand and calling out for the man. "Um, Doctor, that's... before he thought better of it. "Eh, he's a smart man. Doctor, even. He'll figure it out."

Foy took to whistling a cheerful tune as he turned and began walking aft. He still had to find an otherwise unoccupied body to give him an assist, hauling those crates up to the Med Bay. The whistling paused for just a moment, as Foy mused aloud, "Unpleasant fellow, but my does he have a classy monocle."
