The Reason You Chose The Side You Did: “I still believe that the Empire was responsible, even if only indirectly, for what happened to my sister. And because of that I could never join them, so that left me with only one alternative: the Republic. Even if Rhine hadn’t died fighting the Empire, I don’t think I could support their ideologies. I’ve seen enough of their thirst for war and blood, and I have no wish to be a part of it. I will fight if I have to in order to support the Republic, but they seem to share the same overall end goal...to just have this conflict end and have relative peace return to the galaxy.”
History: Born on the Echani home planet of Eshan alongside his twin sister, Rhine; Denali was the ‘younger’ of the pair. Shared a particularly close bond with his sister and was never seen far from her side, the two grew up and trained together. She enjoys dressing like something a jolly rancher may puke up.
As for her hair, Jaina either has it down in curls, or up in some new sort of fashion. For combat, she normally braids it into pigtails. Despite being a bit insane, even Jaina hates getting her hair pulled. She loves to do dramatic makeup, usually trying something new each day. Personality: Initially, Jaina was a quiet and sweet young girl, always seeing the best in everyone and trying her very best. She could never hurt a fly. Of course, this was largely due to the relatively sheltered life she had lived. Until her force sensitive brother began experimenting with her head, of course. This slowly but surely drove Jaina insane, to the extent that she always seems like this little cupcake of sunshine, rainbows, and happiness. Hardly anything could bring her down.
Of course, her psychosis manifests itself in other ways. Jaina lacks understanding of several concepts, the most concerning being life and death. It's a miracle she grasps the notion of object permanence still. To her, there's hardly anything to be afraid of in the world. Death is all an illusion, just something that others stress out about. Even when witnessing death or killing someone herself, Jaina is as unfazed as can be. There's a gigantic disconnect in her brain. This causes her to be fearless and confident, but also rash, reckless, and stupid. She's like a gambler, only she's betting her own life with each and every decision she makes.

The Reason You Chose The Side You Did: Jaina didn't neccessarily choose a side, but she didn't protest when one was selected for her. She grew up in a family that supported the Empire, with her siblings laying down their lives for it in service. Her twin brother was an Emperor's Hand. If anything, she lived in a house filled with Imperial propaganda. After her brother pulled some strings to get her out of the asylum, it was easiest for him to simply insert her into the Imperial war machine with her skills. It'd allow him to keep an eye on her. And given that Jaina doesn't really care about the Empire-Republic conflict, she hardly protested.
History: Jaina was the youngest child of the Sarbye family, with several older siblings, as well as a twin brother, Jacen. Growing up on Courscant, their parents tended to support the Empire, with Jacen and Jaina's older siblings all eventually joining the Imperial forces in one way or another. The twins enjoyed a relative life of luxury, until stormtroopers arrived at their home. Jacen was force sensitive and would be trained as an Emperor's Hand. Due to the relative influence of the family, Jacen would be able to remain and live at home, being trained during the workday.
It was then that Jaina's life took a sharp turn for the worst. Her brother, fascinated by the abilities he was learning to control, used his twin sister as practice. He had a particular interest in seeing if he could cure her of her mundane-ness, and trigger powers in her as well. It never succeeded, as she wasn't force sensitive. Instead, the repeated delving into her mind caused Jaina to lose her grip on reality. By the time their parents realized what Jacen did to Jaina, it was far too late. The shy girl became twisted, losing a grip on the notion of life and death. They became just words to her. She never seemed to grow upset or angry anymore, constantly laughing and smiling, giving Jaina the name the Joker.
Of course, craziness doesn't contain itself easily. She left the house eventually, heading for the capital city, for reasons even Jaina didn't understand. While there, Jaina managed to get a slight grip on her sanity -- but even then, it wasn't much. Getting caught at the wrong place at the wrong time, Jaina eventually found that her specific skill set had certain uses. For a variety of reasons that changed with her each and every whim, she ended up working as a Bounty Hunter, finding undesirables in society. Her career only furthered her dementia, culminating in her arrest when she hijacked and crashed a transport shuttle in order to get her mark. Due to her family's wealth, she had a top notch attorney, and was sent to an asylum.
Her brother completed his training as an Emperor's Hand, and perhaps out of pity, managed to retrieve Jaina from the asylum. He fixed her up with a position within the Empire, working as a Bounty Hunter once more. Jaina's lack of fear and understanding made her an asset in terms of keeping things secret, as well as tracking down some of the more nefarious targets. However, each week Jaina must attend a session with a doctor, otherwise, she'll be sent back to the asylum. It's the deal Jacen had to make to get her out of there.

Personal Style: Jaina's personal style isn't very typical for a bounty hunter. Most of them wish to conceal themselves, to get in and get out. Jaina goes with the basic flexible and movable material, but with her love of intense and bright colors, she decorates it with little pieces of strap, all sewn into the corset-like chest piece. She enjoys dressing like something a jolly rancher may puke up.
As for her hair, Jaina either has it down in curls, or up in some new sort of fashion. For combat, she normally braids it into pigtails. Despite being a bit insane, even Jaina hates getting her hair pulled. She loves to do dramatic makeup, usually trying something new each day. Of course, the colors all have to work together to create her bright rainbow of happiness.

Personality: Initially, Jaina was a quiet and sweet young girl, always seeing the best in everyone and trying her very best. She could never hurt a fly. If you went into a dictionary and looked up the definition of Happy Go Lucky, Jaina's picture would have been the only definition needed. Of course, this was largely due to the relatively sheltered life she had lived. Until her force sensitive brother began experimenting with her head, of course. This slowly but surely drove Jaina insane, to the extent that she always seems like this little cupcake of sunshine, rainbows, and happiness. Hardly anything could bring her down.
Of course, her psychosis manifests itself in other ways. Jaina lacks understanding of several concepts, the most concerning being life and death. It's a miracle she grasps the notion of object permanence still. To her, there's hardly anything to be afraid of in the world. Death is all an illusion, just something that others stress out about. Even when witnessing death or killing someone herself, Jaina is as unfazed as can be. There's a gigantic disconnect in her brain. This causes her to be fearless and confident, but also rash, reckless, and stupid. She's like a gambler, only she's betting her own life with each and every decision she makes.

History
The Reason You Chose The Side You Did: Jaina didn't neccessarily choose a side, but she didn't protest when one was selected for her. She grew up in a family that supported the Empire, with her siblings laying down their lives for it in service. Her twin brother was an Emperor's Hand. If anything, she lived in a house filled with Imperial propaganda. After her brother pulled some strings to get her out of the asylum, it was easiest for him to simply insert her into the Imperial war machine with her skills. It'd allow him to keep an eye on her. And given that Jaina doesn't really care about the Empire-Republic conflict, she hardly protested.
History: Jaina was the youngest child of the Sarbye family, with several older siblings, as well as a twin brother, Jacen. Growing up on Courscant, their parents tended to support the Empire, with Jacen and Jaina's older siblings all eventually joining the Imperial forces in one way or another. The twins enjoyed a relative life of luxury, until stormtroopers arrived at their home. Jacen was force sensitive and would be trained as an Emperor's Hand. Due to the relative influence of the family, Jacen would be able to remain and live at home, being trained during the workday.
It was then that Jaina's life took a sharp turn for the worst. Her brother, fascinated by the abilities he was learning to control, used his twin sister as practice. He had a particular interest in seeing if he could cure her of her mundane-ness, and trigger powers in her as well. It never succeeded, as she wasn't force sensitive. Instead, the repeated delving into her mind caused Jaina to lose her grip on reality. By the time their parents realized what Jacen did to Jaina, it was far too late. The shy girl became twisted, losing a grip on the notion of life and death. They became just words to her. She never seemed to grow upset or angry anymore, constantly laughing and smiling, giving Jaina the name the Joker.
Of course, craziness doesn't contain itself easily. She left the house eventually, heading for the capital city, for reasons even Jaina didn't understand. While there, Jaina managed to get a slight grip on her sanity -- but even then, it wasn't much. Getting caught at the wrong place at the wrong time, Jaina eventually found that her specific skill set had certain uses. For a variety of reasons that changed with her each and every whim, she ended up working as a Bounty Hunter, finding undesirables in society. Her career only furthered her dementia, culminating in her arrest when she hijacked and crashed a transport shuttle in order to get her mark. Due to her family's wealth, she had a top notch attorney, and was sent to an asylum.
Her brother completed his training as an Emperor's Hand, and perhaps out of pity, managed to retrieve Jaina from the asylum. He fixed her up with a position within the Empire, working as a Bounty Hunter once more. Jaina's lack of fear and understanding made her an asset in terms of keeping things secret, as well as tracking down some of the more nefarious targets. However, each week Jaina must attend a session with a doctor, otherwise, she'll be sent back to the asylum. It's the deal Jacen had to make to get her out of there.

A characteristic that differs Zabraks from base humans is a set of vestigial horns crowing their heads that is usually apparent when one hits the age of puberty. Gol's got two sets of three, horizontally parallel just above her brow, almost the size of a pinky, and a few smaller ones on the sides of her brows.
Since she rarely leaves her work space, Gol's all for getting comfortable rather than fashionable spesh when working. She has gotten used to sporting a safety jumpsuit on a regular basis, which she'd roll up to her elbows or just letting the torso half hang loose where she'd be seen in a tank top. Another thing with our handy mechanic is she never goes anywhere without her trusty utility belt. But when she does go on the field she opt to dress a little more laid back, while still meeting the required standard safety protocols.

She believes that everything the Republic does is aimed for a better cause no matter the moral consequences. It's a matter of the end justifying the means, a very naive outlook for someone so young and unscathed such as Gol.
Having a good amount of experience working with freighter ships has given her a general familiarity of The Raven, and she could tell with just an effortless gaze if the Electromagnetic freight barge clamp is out of date, or if the Gun turrets needs its weekly calibrating. As a child Gol has a fondness for tinkering any machine she can get her hands on, from basic utility devices to droids and eventually ships. She has an undying desire to learn new things, her curiosity had gotten her in deep situations because of her carelessness, but all of it has better equipped her to be one of the Republic's best engineers. Though her knowledge of machines is vastly impressive, she's not exactly an engineering genius and sometimes she'll find herself mentally blocked in desperate situations where she'll frequently check on data pad manuals or holodisks obscurely for a quick guide.
Gol likes it whenever people would come over to her little corner of the Raven, to ask for a weapon upgrade or just having a friendly chat while playing a round or two of pazaak or maybe dejarik, if you're the saucy type. Though she inherited a lot from her father's good qualities, his patience is definitely not one of them. Golsia was born and raised in Iradonia, but once the strong Imperial influence became apparent there her family decided to move off world. Her father worked as a mechanic back in their homeworld, living together with her elderly uncle in a small quiet town at the outskirts. Gol never got the chance to know her mother with only the limited knowledge she has of her is through her father's adoring stories. A wonderful and kind hearted woman, her father would always say, who see's value even in the worst of people . Gol's father never truly told her the reason why she died but eventually she found out a few years later that it was of childbirth, and this not only angered Gol for her father's deception but eversince, she internally blamed herself for her mother's death.
When she was about 13, Gol together with her father and uncle moved to Tatooine. The first few months of adjusting was a struggle for Gol, mainly because their kind is frequently being associated with the Nightbrothers and Nightsisters, and dealing with walking ignorance was an even more difficult struggle since most of the time she would end up picking fights with those people, which never really helped. Aside from picking up fights, a lot of her time is spent in her father's workshop, helping him out with various repair work. Sometimes she'd watch soldiers go about the streets and wonder of the life beyond the galaxies. She thought how wonderful it would be and hopes that one day she'd find it out for herself. That day sooner came when the Rebel Army, in a desperate attempt to provide soldiers for the war effort, held a scouting for potential recruits. Gol, young and always eager to impress, took her chances and the army saw great potential in her skills. After being accepted they enrolled her in the Academy, where overtime she learned and honed her skills full time. With her exceptionally good academic status she landed a place in the Army's Engineering division earning the title, Junior Engineer.
Although her division was not assigned where the Battle of Yavin took place , her outstanding contribution to the war have given her a number of opportunities within the army. Her superiors were more than glad give her a high ranking status, but Gol was intent on keeping her promise, that she would see and live exploring the galaxies. One of her superiors, and also her mentor saw the young woman is more interested in adventure rather than actually making a name for herself, he assigned her to take part of the Raven.
