So in the end, has it been concluded with Sodium that the fog would've been blown away by the burst of wind? If so, I believe Akasha would've wanted to help Nihiri show off too. After all, when she was pouncing on Donovan, she had the back thought of seeing his powers.

Hm, so Alice's knife is lost. Losing her main method of offense would mean that she'll need to work with someone else or utilize the situation somehow.

@Scio Since Alice's magic requires her to have vision of the destination area, would that means she wouldn't be able to create her portals anywhere near Varus right now unless she go near there, or would she still be able to since she already knew about the general position?

Perhaps its something that 'interferes with magic', considering it shut down the portal as well as layering someone in a protective shield.

Doubt it, in private discussions with Scio, I got permitted Magic Resistance, but nothing that 'messes with the rules'.

@GreenGoat Probably something that blows up or gather magical energy? I kinda doubt it's just interfering with magic, since the knife got scorched.

It's definitely contact-based at least, so even if it's a form of magic interference, I doubt he's able to just dispel the fog on a whim.

Heh I like the Killer Queen-esque power theory. Maybe he's just so adept at controlling his explosions that he can choose if it harms a person or not. Alice's arm was slightly numb afterwards but I'm not sure what that signifies exactly...

Hmm, maybe a detonation counter dependent on the strength of the spell. And he has to touch the caster to activate it.
