The game is Final Fantasia, and the players are the characters; heroes; adventurers of the continent Rin! This game is meant to be a satire of all those MMORPGs we all tend to love and hate. We have variations of the six main classes: Warrior, Tank, Cleric, Archer, Mage, and Thief. Their goal? Well, you'll have to ask them what their goals are.

This OOC is pretty basic because the concept is basic. If you like video game-style RP, if you like comedy/satire, then this will be the game for you!

If we acquire more than six people, then our little party just might become a guild. But expect this game to make fun of every aspect of MMOS: bots, boob physics (while remaining within the site's rules), those abomination characters that come out of the character creation nightmare, cash shoppers, getting stuck in walls, lagging, etc. This game is going to have just about everything.

Character Creation

IF YOU ARE NOT APPROVED BY THE GM TO POST A CS IN THE CHARACTER THREAD AND RP IN THE IC, THEN YOU CANNOT POST! IF ANOTHER PLAYER WALTZ UP IN HERE, IGNORING THE PROPER PROCEDURE FOR GOING THROUGH THE APPROVAL PROCESS, THEN I DO NOT CARE WHAT CHARACTER CONCEPT/CS YOU SEND ME, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN THIS GAME. YOU WILL BE REJECTED OUTRIGHT FOR FAILURE TO FOLLOW BARNEY SIMPLE DIRECTIONS.

Character Name: (much like a screen name but this is your character’s name)
Alias: If your character is well-known throughout the continent, then they may have a title or alias.
Age: If your character is over 100 y/o then put “N/A”
Race: What race? No gods please. No aliens. No ORs (Orignal, Made-up Races).
Gender: Male or Female
Height:
Weight:
Hair Color: You can go further into detail to add highlights, glowing features, length, etc. Just be as detailed as you want describing the hair.
Eye Color: Same for the eyes. Pupil-less, slit pupils, cat eyes, etc.
Visual Description: If you have a pic of the character. You don’t really need one.
Written Description: Describe all details of your character. Basically, give us something to envision. Tattoos, scars, brands, etc.
Level: 1 (everyone starts at 1)
Class: You can pick whatever but your class is also your profession and I won’t have more of the same type.
Abilities: For now write two abilities. You’ll be allowed to earn more as you level up. These are like special attacks or if your character is a mage, magic attacks. Some special attacks can be magical related. You need two.
1.
2.
Skills: These abilities have nothing to do with combat. They're utility skills that may be necessary for the survival of the group. Characters get two for now.
1.
2.
Weapon: We’re keeping this in the flavor of a RPG. So your character can only be specialized in one weapon. Not two, not three. You can dual wield but it has to be the same type of weapon such as swords, daggers, axes, etc.
Personality:
Quirks: Bad habits, awkward habits, social problems, psychological problems, superstitions, etc.
Likes:
Dislikes:
Inventory: Empty (This will be empty for now. We’ll earn items through the game.)

So, you might have noticed the Level 1 thing. That is just for the spirit of the game. There isn't a stat system, dice, none of that crap. It's free-form. However, level increase determines if your character earns another ability slot. There will be missions put out for the party to complete, and each mission gives different rewards: items, level up, etc. Some items you may want to keep for an NPC in the game may want it and will trade it for something better!

So, because we have an increase in interest. The parties are arranged under a guild. The guild's name is being voted on. The guild leader is being voted on. The parties are arranged by priority for quests. Players who go AWOL and disappear will have their place in the party forfeit, which will allow players from Second, Third, and any other party to advance into the next party to cover the gap. First Party has first dibs on quests, then second, then third, etc.

@Cyrania@Halvtand@Fetzen@JackalopeLove@KoL

So, we're going to be patiently waiting on the archer to get approved and join us, but in the meantime, I'm going to brief you guys on the very beginning.

Basically, all the characters are going to meet downstairs at a large round table in the Greased Oak Tavern. Whatever your character was doing last night, whether it was partying, drinking, fighting, being civilized, etc. is up to you. When they get to the table, the party can chat for awhile, but then they'll have to get to the matter at hand. They have a quest board with quests that need to be filled. Whoever, believes their character is well-behaved enough to be the party leader, will be the party leader, and the party leader will decide who does what quests. Your character is free to protest. I expect writers to act within their character's written personality lol. But in the end, if no other character wants to trade missions, then you're stuck.

Priority may go to the healer only because we all know the higher the level she is, the more heals there may be. We don't know. She can choose whatever skills she wants lol.

Also, when your character levels. You can always describe some epic burst of light, power, whatever to show that he/she leveled.

Sooo... I've tried my best to get this application finished soon, but I had to attend to some other duties as well.

Character Name: Kerylun
Alias: Lucy - that's short for Lucifer, because of his appearance.
Age: 36
Race:

Height: 9'2 ( 2,79m )
Weight: 867 lbs ( 393kg )
Hair Color: Matt white. It is the natural hair color for his race and in contrast to humans, it is not a sign for old age. They are a badly organized mess: As long as it stays out of his eyesight, everything's okay for him. Helping with this is the fact that his hair is long, thick and sturdy. He also has a short goatee.
Eye Color: What color ? His eyes are a boring, weak blue with a white clarity around it that is very susceptible to reddish traces of blood vessels appearing inside of it.
Visual Description:

Written Description: The picture only represents how he would look if he would not wear anything. He usually does however. It is a simple pair of trousers and a shirt that almost doesn't cover anything of his back because of the wings. Both items are made out of thick linen and look quite cheap. No boots. He doesn't use any armor and would not be amused if someone tried to squeeze him into one, especially if its made out of inflexible metal. His skin is of a very dark grey color that competes with a slight touch of red in form of an irregular pattern across his entire body. Judging by the tightness his skin wraps around his muscle one could assume that he is seriously undernourished, but who knows his race also knows that it is not as bad as it looks. Overall, he appears very vicious - a circumstance that earned him the nickname 'the devil'.
Level: 1
Class: Archer
Abilities:
  • Fly - These wings aren't for pure decoration. However deciding to engange a combat flying is an ambivalent decision: On one hand you obviously don't have to worry about melee attacks, on the other hand a significant bit of precision in own attacks is lost along all chances of staying hidden. The real benefit is terrain-independent relocation that does not need to be restricted to himself: As long as a person is physically fit and not too heavy (~1/3 of his own weight), he can carry someone on his back. That someone then usually won't be able to do anything but look around because... No hands firmly holding to Kerylun... erm... well... It won't take long for learning that he isn't fast enough to intercept a free falling object. Grabbing an enemy and dump him from a proper altitude would theoretically be possible, but he could as well get his arms cut off in that attempt.
  • Poison - Haargat saliva contains an effective neurotoxin that is a good reason to lick your arrows before using them (or someone else's daggers). Dosis can be adjusted from minor illness to certain death with symptoms stacking on top of each other in quick succession.

Skills:
  • Beast strength - While with his size he is certainly prone to suffer from accidents and embarrassing situations in unprepared households, there could be situations where his physique comes in real handy. Outside of combat it luckily doesn't matter if you're unable to wear real armor.
  • Hunting - Not exactly the metier he was born for, but since the remainder of his group had been slain when he was caught and pressed into slavery for several years, he had ample time to learn what it means to have to sustain oneself without money. Hmmm... I'm more poisonous than this flea-infested sewer rat! I can eat that... and for the rest of the party... erm... I have a special recipe that can make things like this an unnoticeable ingredient in just about everyone's meal!

Weapon: A large longbow.
Personality: He's quite intelligent, often to the surprise of the people around him. He also has a rather smooth temper as long as you meet him with respect and not the usual bullshit. In the latter case the outcome depends on where he is: In a city with its many guards he'll probably bare his teeth, hiss and hit you with deliberate blasts of bad air. In the wilderness where noone's looking... it gets dangerous. Very dangerous. He's become adept in pretending obedience while internally ripping you into pieces and hatching plans to put such plans into actions. He had to do this for several years in his past.
Quirks: He smells. Not really bad with the exception of his throat, but he has the unique odour of his race in his immediate vicinity. Also many people could consider him quite intimidating or even have prejudices, both things that are not that good for social interaction. He needs to eat a lot and is purely carnivorous, ideal conditions for very low standards when it comes to quality - his body can take it. Slain enemies are not on his list however - it would just be too much of a boost all those prejudices about him and his kind.
Likes: Meat, wilderness, buildings of adequate ceiling height, a good fight (with him winning, of course).
Dislikes: Humanity as a whole is his social problem. It gets better with other races, depending on what they think about him, but humans... someone hit Alt+F4 for them! Or wait, that's not possible. They already run on Windows 3.1 bluescreens in their heads. He can work with them if he must, but he hates them.
Inventory: Empty.

@FetzenAll right; I saw that you put a lot of work into this CS but...I'm not going to allow you to make your own race (mainly why I said no aliens, but now I have to add no OC-races). I know it's not mentioned in the CS. But the reason is because you can easily "invent" whatever you want for him. If you wanted him to have acid blood, shit rainbows, and spit lightning bolts, you'd be able to do so because it's your made-up creation, but I can't allow that in this game. So, I would rather you make him an existing fictional race. The closest thing he resembles is a devil/demon or gargoyle.

@RaizinInventions can be a skill. But if you had managed to actually make it one of those classes, then that would have worked too, but it just has to make sense. But yeah, whatever character you make can definitely have "inventing" as a skill.

@Raizin
The six character classes were for the first six members so that the group wouldn't be unbalenced. Any class after the main six is welcome as long as it would fit a typical high fantasy setting.

@Fetzen Reworking the guy into a gargoyle sounds amazingly cool. You can keep most of your stuff, simply change the toxin to “stone skin” or something. Also, I'm looking forward to having our characters clash. You'll have to invent some reason to not tear Seth to shreds though, might be a short adventure for him otherwise :P

@Raizin Finally another human, someone normal to talk to!
May I suggest you pair that sicle with a chain? It would give you a lot of options not only for stealthy killings but also getting around quickly.

@Halvtand I was thinking about it but a chain would be significantly loud, and what do you think of the inventions idea? That's the part that I am really trying to emphasize with my character, and i honestly can't play as anything except human on these kinds it just feel better

@Raizin Well, a chain's loudness would depend on the material and fineness of the links. They can produce a nasty noise or simply a subtle "SSSS"-kind of sound. In the end it's up to you, but keep in mind that this is supposed to make fun of RPG stereotypes, so I think you'd be safe.
About the inventions. I like the idea of having a tinkerer around, and with a little imagination that can provide some really funny moments. But since you are an assassin as well, try to stay away from the hidden blade from Assassin's Creed, too many people rip that off. Have a look at the drawings of Leonardo da Vinci for inspiration.

Yeah I was definitely steering clear of th hidden blade cliche. Any i was also thinking of Leonardo da Vinci for ideas too.
But thank you for the input I'll definitely consider the chain@Halvtand

Character Name: Keith T. Magician
Alias: Keith the Magician!
Age: N/A
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Height: 6'0
Weight: Slim... kind of weedy honestly.
Hair Color: Milk White
Eye Color: Light Red
Visual Description:

Written Description: Keith the Magician appears to be a somewhat weedy but healthy young man in his late teens, early twenties. Always dressed to impress any onlookers in relation to his career as a street performer of 'magic tricks', Keith will almost always don an expensive looking but worn suit with a black hat as an accessory. He is almost always seen with a deck of cards somewhere on his person. Despite his seemingly young age, a glance at his eyes suggests that the mind behind them are older and wiser in years than his physical appearance lets on.
Level: 1

Class: Warlock/Street Performer
Abilities:
1. Life Drain: If Keith is within close range of a target, he can call upon the dark powers at his command to rip the very life out of them, draining their health over time in order to restore his own and heal his own injuries. Overuse of this ability can actually result in the user getting physically younger.
2. Fireball: Keith can conjure and throw a fireball. The strength and size of the fireball depends on how much time and energy that he pours into it.

Skills:
1. Slight of Hand:Slight of Hand is vital for a street performer; If someone cannot see or figure out how you selected their card because they are none the wiser to your actions then that is a type of magic all of its own.
2. Well Educated:Keith can read and speak in quite a large number of languages... through he seems to have a knack for the demonic for some reason.

Weapon: Fireballs count as weapons, right? If not, he can fall back on his trusty dagger.

Personality: Keith likes to present himself as a charismatic, charming but good natured rogue with a tinkle in his eye and a look of only slightly tarnished innocence on his face; The fact that he can have this look on his face while he is standing in the middle of the blood soaked wreckage of a burning carriage, covered with blood himself with clearly stolen jewellery sticking out of his pocket and still appear confused as to why someone is freaking the hell out about it tells a great deal about what goes on inside of his mind.

Quirks: Sociopath, Sadistic, Impulsive, Cares little about the value of life.
Likes: Being the center of attention, Fire, Making a profit, Sex.
Dislikes: Being ignored, Moralists, Paladins.
Inventory: Empty

@RaizinSo far, the only thing I want you to change is his "werewolf hide" armor. That sounds special and since he is only level 1, he should have basic armor and gear. We'll see how the rest of him turns out.

Since our party is still looking for an archer, you will be starting in Party Two. So hopefully we recruit 5 party members for your party.

I got to go to training and I'll be there forever, so I won't be back until this evening. So, I would love for you guys to help me recruit an archer if our current archer hasn't left yet. I didn't get any word from him after the critique.
