Personality: Eadgar is one of those lone wolf, pardon the pun, types that most people either wanna be like or be with. However, he could care less what those people think. All he cares about are those close to them. If they think he's alright then he feels alright. The emotions he has are affected by how his family and friends feel and think about him. He's not a social butterfly, but he basically molds his life around who his friends are. Yet, he is still extremely lazy and cynical no matter who he is hanging around. He also has some major anger issues. He doesn't care enough to address his own problems though.

Bio: Eadgar was born as the youngest son of his family. He has an older brother and two older sisters. His family is very connected to the extended family most taking the mentality that wolves have of being in a pack. Despite this Eadgar felt out of place among them. They all seemed to be fine with being stuck on Menagerie, but Eadgar couldn't stand it. He was pretty much in a constant state of being pissed off about the fact that the human politicians found a way to compromise with the Faunus giving them this island. He was even angrier that the Faunus leaders agreed.

When he grew older and had enough money to pay his way on a boat he left without any word. He did leave a note stating his feelings on the Faunus circumstances, that he would be alright, and that he was searching for the White Fang. He had heard many stories of the Grimm, but before arriving at mainland he hadn't actually seen one. While on his way to a location he believed the White Fang to be at, he came across a small town that was having a Grimm problem. An Alpha Beowolf had found it's way to this town after a battle with huntsman that killed it's pack but was killed in return by the Grimm. The people were frantically trying to escape when the leader of the small town saw Eadgar walking in their direction. The man ran to Eadgar and started begging him to help the people get to safety. He was about to refuse and move along when he saw that the Grimm was about to attack a young Faunus.

Eadgar leapt into action. He ran to the defense of the child and fought the monster. He was lucky that the Grimm had just come from a fight because if it hadn't have been wounded before he definitely wouldn't have beaten it. The town applauded him despite the fact he was obviously a Faunus. Eadgar had always thought that humans despised his race mainly in part because he had never met a human on Menagerie. This event started changing his viewpoint a little and by the time he found the White Fang he had interacted with many other humans that actually seemed to appreciate the Faunus. There were still the occasionally bigoted ones that harassed him just for existing but they were not as many in the area he was travelling.

When he finally found the White Fang he joined without hesitation. There was nothing he wouldn't do to get equal rights for his people. He was quite wrong in his assumption. From what he heard on Menagerie he was very surprised at the way the White Fang was conducting themselves. He was ordered to steal, destroy, and fight anyone who seemed to be against Faunus in anyway. After about a year of being a member the thing that finally pushed him over the edge was when he was ordered to hunt down and kill one of the people who betrayed the White Fang. At first he was fine with following through with the order. He eventually tracked the traitor to Atlas, but he didn't expect what he found. The man had abandoned the White Fang to be with his human wife. The man easily beat Eadgar due to being much better a fighter. The man didn't kill Eadgar though instead opting to explain why he left. Over the next few days Eadgar became even more disillusioned to the way the White Fang was by living among the humans instead of fighting them. Both the man and Eadgar knew that if he went back having failed his mission they would both be in danger and so would the family of this man. Not knowing what to do Eadgar asked the person he had been sent to kill what to do. The only idea he had was for Eadgar to abandon the White Fang and attend Atlas Academy.

The powers granted to Arjuna by his semblance allow him to manifest harsh light from his body and weapons, a reflection of his intense desire to enforce good and cleanse sins and ignorance from his foes. Bright white energies, whether in the form of a simple ball to illuminate his surroundings or a sudden, incredible flash to blind his foes, can be formed anywhere on him or anything he holds, and it is in this manner that he most commonly makes use of this power. However, this power can extend, with extra exertion, to creating almost solid light, gleaming like diamonds, in his hands, particularly when he is in need of a more powerful arrow. It is quite energy-intensive, placing a toll on his body if used repeatedly.

Weapon(s): गाण्डीव ~ Gandiva
A decorated recurve bow of immense weight and size, the Gandiva is Arjuna's signature and beloved weapon, acting as the tool upon which he delivers his judgement upon those in his path. Its range of several miles is immense, and the tremendous force behind each of its shots exceeds even the power of a portable missile launcher. Any arrow, no matter how simple, fired from the bow is amplified in strength, and in the skilled, bleeding hands of Arjuna, strike true with the sounds of rumbling thunder. One hundred and eight bowstrings adorn the weapon, allowing multiple projectiles to emerge from its glowing body at once. It is even said that Arjuna can blot out the sky on his lonesome, readying hundreds of arrows in his bow to be fired for an instant. While he is capable of using traditional arrows for this purpose, his main quiver hangs from his hip, containing Dust which he can manipulate into any necessary shape (although far often than not, into the projectiles of his weapon).

When not wielding his mighty bow, Arjuna wields an unnamed sword, "with blade long and carved with the image of a toad and head shaped as a toad's mouth". Though basic in purpose, its strong and durable nature suits his purposes well when within the sight of his enemies, and when unused is hidden by a sheath of aging leather.

Personality: Noble and regal in both speech and demeanour, Arjuna is almost the very image of a knightly gentleman. He is consistently opposed to what he perceives as injustice, offering his blade in the service of the good and right path. He views it as a duty of a Hunter, a guardian of humanity against the forces of the Grimm, to also guard against all the ills and sins affecting his brethren. However, as a member of Atlas Academy, at times he must balance his desire to fight for the light with his obligations to the Kingdom. To break one's vows is something he considers disgusting, viewing one's vows as of utmost importance.

Indeed, he is always quick to act when there is trouble brewing or when someone appears to be suffering. While seemingly aloof and uncaring due to his formal, collected demeanour, the white-haired young man will not spurn away another if they are truly in need, not when he feels honorbound to render assistance if it is truly needed. If he considers that one's situation is being exaggerated, he will turn his gaze away to deal with what he considers more of a meaningful issue. No matter how heroic he may be in his heart, Arjuna is not possessing of infinite patience, and is someone who tends to dislike it when others waste his time on things they could resolve themselves, a sign of what he views to be true sloth.

Even Arjuna himself is afflicted with sin, no matter how much he fights to strike it down. The young man is highly proud of his own skills, confident in the power he possesses and the strength of his actions. This is not to say that he is an overly haughty or arrogant individual (even if it may seem that way), but he is always confident in what he can achieve. What this prodigious young man says is what he believes can be his truth, and no matter what, he will seek to fulfil it. Every action he undertakes is with immense diligence, shirking from no difficulty, so he refuses to allow his efforts to be stymied. He is proud of his power, and it is his belief that his power will carry his aims to fruition.

Pride and honor are incredibly important to Arjuna. He believes them to be necessary to living a valorous life, and views one's deeds as the greatest indicator of one's strengths. Thus to insult these qualities, to either dismiss them as useless or as illogical, is the same to him as denying one's very spirit and self. Though far from truly haughty, an attack on his pride will rapidly incite him to anger, and his anger is a terrifying force to behold indeed. As a man always seeking to be patient, it usually takes much to bring out his rage, but he considers insults on his honour to be quite severe, and those who dare to dismiss valour tend to be on the receiving end of his emotions.

It's fortunate that little makes him truly angry, although certain individuals in his family or the forces of darkness can incite him rather quickly. The anger of Arjuna is not a particularly kind thing to observe, full of rage and disgusting hatred to the extent that one could almost mistake him for the sins he seeks to combat. He always seeks to restrain this side of him, but in his moments of great rage, his efforts become moot.

Some would also describe Arjuna as a particularly idealistic figure, especially due to the importance upon which he places upon his duties, pride and honour. It can appear somewhat stubborn of him to refuse to let go of those concepts, and while he is perfectly capable of pragmatism when needed, he still has a slightly zealous adherence to his virtues. At times he can also be rather chauvinistic, refusing to lay a hand on a woman no matter how strong she may be. Otherwise, he is a perfectly reasonable person, one with strong convictions that he seeks to challenge others with.

Despite his formalities and seeming distance to others, he is in possession of a surprisingly dry sense of humour, and is still humble enough to laugh (incredibly rarely) at what is amusing without feeling a loss to his pride.

Biography: Born as simply Arjuna, the young man whom would later adopted the courtesy title of Gandivadhanvan came from a long line of warriors originally native to Remnant's south before their eventual displacement during the Great War. As the eldest son in his clan, he grew up learning from the tales of his ancestors, of their valour in battle and their desire to live and die in an honourable manner, an experience that drove him to become the successor to their ideals. Knowing of the dangers posed to the world by the foes outside the walls and mountains, the young Arjuna threw himself into his training, braving the harsh cold and painful movements that were necessary for him to become even a match for the ancestors he sought to resemble.

Day by day, he would train, putting every effort into becoming a knightly figure worthy of the accolades of his ancestors. To protect the people and fight sin, he swore fealty to the Kingdom itself, becoming a member of the combat schools and pushing himself through their intense training regimens. As a subject of the Atlesian realm, he knew what duties laid ahead of him, what foes he would need to defeat and what obligations he needed to fulfil. And it was in this understanding that he found himself entering Atlas Academy itself, becoming one of the Hunters that would serve the needs of the kingdom.

The Gandiva, the ancient mighty bow of his clan, found its way into his hands as he took his first steps into the hunting world. It was there that Arjuna chose the courtesy title of Gandivadhanvan, announcing to the world his new role as the bearer of the ideals his ancestors had embodied, and of his transition into what he viewed as adulthood. From there, he would continue his fight for justice, no matter how much his own ideals would conflict with Atlas' commands.

The path he has chosen to walk is one he seeks to traverse alone.

Strengths:

• Arjuna is an incredibly skilled archer, with impeccable aim and draw-strength. Indeed, merely to hold his bow requires immense power, which he makes significant use of to fire his arrows.
• His swordsmanship, while not at the level of his archery, is rather skillful as well.
• The physical strength necessary for the use of his weapon is immense, and as a result Arjuna too is stronger than the average Hunter.
• He's highly skilled in the manipulation of Dust, particularly for the purpose of his arrows.

Weaknesses:

• His intense focus on his pride and honour can blind him to more pragmatic, optimal choices, and while he may understand that to be the case, tends to stubbornly choose to walk on his own path even when it may be incorrect.
• The use of Gandiva is highly Dust-intensive, and thus Arjuna takes care not to use up his powerful Dust arrows. When they are expended, it takes a great amount of time and money to be replenished, forcing him to use simple arrows instead, or drain more of his aura on forming the light arrows.
• When enraged, Arjuna can easily lose sight of himself, acting in a highly irrational and illogical manner in a zealous quest to take out those who he feel have wronged him and committed sin.

Also, for being proclaimed to be "not proud and haughty", he's totally haughty and proud. (Although I can understand if that was the point. But the dry sense of humor isn't surprising really. It'd be more unexpected if he had a rather boisterous one.)
Sorry, but I felt something needed to be said. Plus I don't like leaving the thread dead for too long. I'm a bit of a spazz, for that I may have to apologize in the future.
Also, just so it doesn't slip past anyone's notice, no offense @EmzyOfNeverland, but rather I want to have your back on this- how is he able to just form Dust at will without using a Semblance that's meant to do that? I'm baffled, so please inform me if I'm missing something.
Also, fair warning @Crimmy, Aven will inevitably come at odds with your character as he stands now. Like, even if I wanted not to, I couldn't stop it because of the way Aven deals with things and how your character is. Not saying you, like, need to change anything, just letting you know.

I'm not trying to be mean, I just don't want certain issues to rip the RP apart from the inside if that can be helped.

Yeah it would be a difficult for all of them to be in the same room, Especially if you keep Vlad's racism. And on that topic it's make sense why he would be racist against Faunus he doesn't think highly of other humans and I can only imagine how he would view a group of people openly considered inferior especially in Atlas. So while I don't agree with it but it make sense.

That could be possible, I mean Menagerie is pretty close knit and even if Eadgar left at a young age Forrest would remember any Faunus from Menagerie.

It would be possible that they crossed paths during their White Fang missions. If Forrest does recognized him, he would leave Eadgar out of his reports out of not wanting to hurt another Faunus, unless he was asked specifically to report Faunus students where he would have no choice but to report him to the White Fang, so that could make for a tense relationship on both end~

Haughty and arrogant aren't necessarily synonymous with pride. Like, he's really proud of his skills, and he basically considers himself to be very good at it. He just doesn't go around being all conceited and smugly superior about it or exaggerate it too much. Of course, he does seem to tilt in that direction a lot.

On the Dust manipulation thing, he basically just grabs dust from his quiver thing and turns them into arrows.



The WoR never mentioned that a semblance was necessary for doing so (timestamp at 0:59). Canonically, Cinder's fire powers aren't related that much to her ability to play with Dust either.

The Arjuna I'm going for here is more of a zealous paladin type who wants to cleanse the world of sin rather than the mythological Arjuna's actually haughty, ridiculously prideful brat (starting shit with Karna, starting shit with Hanuman, starting shit with a lot of folks), although I guess there might be similarities between him and Arjuna later in the poem, where the guy's humbled out a bit after having Krishna as a sidekick. Don't really have that great a grasp on the latter chapters of the Mahabharata though.

I do admit 100% that the Gandiva is basically an incredibly nerfed version of the mythological Arjuna's actual Gandiva. The one hundred and eight bowstrings, the ability to fire multiple arrows at once, the amplification of arrow strength. He can try firing a huge number of arrows at once, but he can't actually blot out the sun. That's hyperbole. The rumbling thunder is also a hyperbolic description of how loud it can be. The range isn't though. I decided to model the actual range of the thing off a rocket launcher (which I guess is what it's trying to be, just a bow that shoots arrows that hit really hard), and those things do have mile-long ranges.
