The Interdimensional Lucha Libre Alliance's flagship and base of operations was the refitted star carrier known as The Masked Dreadnaught. A vast ship nearly a kilometer in overall length, The Masked Dreadnaught's bow was indeed covered by a massive custom-built mask of golden cloth, shrouding the vessel's face as was only fitting for the great mobile fortress of the Luchalliance.

At this moment,
The Masked Dreadnaught was in orbit over the world of Ferretius III, where a Call to Glorious Action had been called. The challenge had been issued and accepted. The fighters were awaiting. All that was left...was the Ring. High in orbit, The Masked Dreadnaught's refitted bombardment systems began to cycle. No city-shattering kinetic impactors were loaded into the mighty cannons, though. Oh, no. The Masked Dreadnaught had a much more glorious purpose for the weapon.

A single launch, perfectly guided by the ship's cutting-edge targeting systems. A single projectile fired at a single point – the open, sweeping plains of Fifth Barcelonia, a rolling savannah of golden grasses and sunset-colored trees, dotted with wildflowers of all shapes and colors. A beautiful place to go to war.

A beautiful place to fall.

Descending from the sky in a cloud of smoke and flame, the Ring slammed home in the vast expanse of flatlands – a fifty-foot spike of battle steel, etched with the masksignias of generations of Luchalliance champions, girded 'round its midsection with a massive, armored replica of the Belt of Kings, capped at its uppermost end with a plain white fitted mask. Plunging deep into the ground, the Ring fetched up against the surface, its Belt shining in the sun even through the massive debris cloud of its landing. Anchored in place, side panels opened in the massive double-ended spike, deploying drones, revealing equipment. Massive floodlights speared the sky with illumination, while nimble hoverdrones maneuvered smaller replicas of the central Ring out into a hundred square meter section of Fifth Barcelonian grassland. The Posts were slammed home, and beams of energy began to arc between them, three rows high, creating a massive plasma-fenced fighting ground under the aegis of the Ring.

And above the ring, towering hundreds of feet above the plains, surrounded by the lances of light cast by the Ring's spotlights, the projected image of the ancient spokesman of the Luchalliance held his mighty blue hands up in triumph and roared.

“REJOICE, PEOPLE OF FERRETIUS III, FOR YOUR WORLD HAS BEEN CHOSEN AS THE SACRED BATTLEGROUND OF THIS MOST
GLOOOORIOUS OF CONTESTS! THE MIGHTIEST WARRIORS OF THE LUCHALLIANCE LAY CLAIM TO THIS WORLD'S HEROES, IN THE NAME OF HONORABLE AND GLOOOOOOOOOORIOUS COOOMBAAAT! ASSEMBLE, OH YE MIGHTY MEN OF FERRETIUS III! ASSEMBLE AND TEST YOUR POWER AGAINST THE LEGENDARY MASKED CHAMPIONS! QUENCH YOUR THIRST FOR THE DIVINE CONFLICT, THE SUPREME STRUGGLE, THE ULTIMATE CONTEST OF STRENGTH AND SKILL!

BEEEGIIIIIIIIN!”

It is often said, that among warriors there are some things that can only be understood with violence. Some lessons that could only be taught by a pair of war torn knuckles, some grievances that only be paid in the shedding of blood, so on and so forth. It had been this way since the dawn of time itself. And for the Luchalliance, where all grievances big or small were settled in the squared circle before the audience and the gods, so it would remain.

And for this who had forgotten, this was to be a reminder.

And yet… among the Alliance, which encompassed most but not all masked wrestlers, and the Federation at large there were few bedfellows more strange than Rey de la Oscuridad II. None doubted his skill in the ring, and that was part of the problem, in a world where might made right there was no way to unseat a bloodthirsty tyrant without dancing to his tune. That he had chosen to participate in this war, this excursion into a foreign universe in order to do battle with an alien promotion, was both a blessing and a curse as far as the Alliance was concerned. For with him at their side there were few who doubted their ability to win, and yet there was no telling what the long-term cost of an alliance with El Rey would bring.

Even now, aboard the Masked Dreadnaught with its sweeping hull and gaudy prow, the other Luchador avoided him Why, even his tag team partner, Lobo Negro, only spoke to him as much as was necessary. He stood in the door, frame highlighted by the bright linoleum lights of the hallway, but could peer no more than three feet into the shadow cast locker room before him and only just make out the body of El Rey, seated on the edge of a table with his shoulders hunched and his body slouched, the faint sound of growls filling the air around him. “Do not worry, Lobos Negro, they fear what they cannot understand they mock what they fear,” His voice was a deep bass and his accent was thick. “For now, we kill the bravest among them and cripple the heard, and when the panic spreads we drive them into a corner.”

Lobos responded with a nod and a snarl, agreeing with El Rey’s logic and not liking it one bit. Just then the commissioner’s speech came to an end and with it, “The old man is as good at talking as ever, now I must take my leave.” When next Lobos blinked the locker room was empty…

Out in the sweeping plains of Fifth Barcelonia the ring and the arena were ready, there would be no audience today save for that watching at home, the only thing missing was a pair of champions. The lights winked out a moment later, the moon and the stars themselves shutting their eyes and casting the whole sector into darkness, and when they fluttered awake several times over, in the interlude El Rey appeared within the room standing tall. His theme music blared in the background with all of its edgy glory, the distorted pipe organ dominating the background before it was steadily joined by the guitars and the drums, while El Rey himself stood in the center of the ring with his arms folded. White fog drifted out from the space around him around and spilled out the ring until it the whole of the area was cast in a gloomy white blanket.

Music Reference - MustaKrakish by Dethklok

Through the vast and brutal emptiness that is the cold embrace of space a harsh and majestic accompany of electric guitar, bass and drums vibrated the vacuum. Their pulverizing tones originated from a huge skull made of dark red metal that stretched 50 ft end to end and had burning red flames in it’s sockets. It careened through space in the wake of the Luchas flagship; appearing seemingly from nowhere to accompany them to the Arena. Awakening only now as The Masked Dreadnaught came to rest over Ferretius III.
MUSTA
The skull released a massive surge of dark red energy as a voice shook through space.

When the Dreadnaught halted its speed the skull did not and it careened passed it's massive underbelly just as their bombardment system was adjusting itself. All the while blasting those face-melting notes and ear drum busting bass.
KRAKISH
In perfect timing with the concussion of the bombardment system the voice rang out again and the back of the skull blasted a pillar of energy which acted like an engine to accelerate it further.

The atmosphere and gravity were unfriendly to the large skull and flames licked at the surface of skull for only a moment before it was totally aflame in dark red energy. The red wisps which littered the air in its wake came to life in the shapes of small winged creatures which flew the skulls side. Which had managed to stay on the heels of the released cargo up until now.

MUSTA
The deep and gravelly voice rang out again in unison with another blast of energy which cast a red hue across the entire horizon, the winged creatures vaporizing its shockwave

The cargo blasted down through the clouds ahead of the skull which had lost it’s momentum with the blast as well the enveloping flames that had once encompassed. Now it was slowing to a stop just below the clouds while from within the metallic skull the awesome tones continued with such power that the very clouds were pushed back with the might of their sounds waves. As loud as they were now the sound of each instrument seemed to double as the skulls mouth began to open.

KRAKISH
The color of the sky was once again overcome with red as a plume of dark red fire tore from the mouth of the skull; barbequing a flock of birds that had been trying to fly around.

With the mouth now hanging open wide the plume of fire raged on but began to curl itself around the skull until it was again enveloped in red flames. The metal began to bubble and quiver as it was touched by ithe flames and the skull began to shrink as the top seemed to start boiling away. Revealing strands on onyx black hair which danced randomly in the air and amongst the vibrations of the music.

MUSTA
All at once the flames extinguished themselves and released a thin ring of dark red energy upon doing so though the metal continued to writhe and boil while the skull slowly shifted into a formless glob.

Enough of the metal had disappeared to reveal Xaviers head whose face was a pale and ashen tone. Not all of the metal had left his head though and now it spread itself across his face to cover the upper half in a dark red metallic mask. It began at his hairline and ended on either side at the end of his cheek bones and hugging them tightly to wrap over the bridge of his nose; each corner digging into the skin with serrated hooks. With his eyes shut tight his mouth hung wide open and it could be seen now, if one could see that high up, that the metal was in fact forcing it’s way into Xaviers mouth and down his throat working on slowly bringing the rest of his body into sight. When the last of the metal had slithered down his throat the towering form of a man began to plummet head first towards the ring.

THE TIME HAS COME…
The wind whipped passed Xavier as he achieved terminal velocity but still his eyes remained shut. The Announcers message has faded into the background and El Rey stood in the center of the ring with his fog spreading through the area.

TO AWAKEN HIM
Xaviers body was no more than a mile above the ring when his eyes finally opened; exposing a deep dark red light burning within the iris. A quick burst of energy from his mouth rotated his position as he neared the ring. Confident that the ring could take the punishment the man landed full force upon it and in front of El Rey with a massive burst of red energy billowing from his feet on impact. The mat and the surrounding ground would quake with the impact while the man’s red energy forced out El Rey fog; blanketing the floor of the ring.

The music which had accompanied him did so still; blaring from nowhere and yet everywhere at the same time. Xaviers eyes had locked onto El Rey's the moment before he made impact with the ring and held it sternly after the landing, blood oozing from the edges of his mask where it had dug into the flesh. With arms at his side's and hands balled into fists Xavier would stand at attention. From this position he would wait to see what was to come next, these fighters seemed particular on the way they do things.

El Rey felt Xavier’s approach before he could see or hear it. When the warrior was still in space with no logical way for any one man to detect his approach, trapped inside of a vessel shaped like a metal skull with only sick beats and crimson power to see him to his destination, El Rey was watching. No one understood the virtue of patience more than the dead…

If there was one thing members of the Luchalliance appreciated, it was showmanship. Where other fighters may have turned their nose up at Xavier’s display, declared it an act of egotistical grandstanding, in the eyes of a Luchador it was both exciting and sporting. After all, to fight without showing your spirit was to disappoint the audience and the gods, and as such there was no better way to ingratiate yourself to a masked warrior than to show off. Of course, when he did reciprocate it would be with violence, but that was neither here nor there. For now, El Rey merely waited for his opponent to settle in the ring to the sound of a resounding boom. The final shockwave was enough to clear the fog and rattle the ropes, but not enough to brush away the Fifth Apocalypse.

“Xavier, is it?” Of course, El Rey knew the name of his opponent, this was a sanctioned match after all, but that was the only piece of information he knew. “Perhaps there’s some hope for this world yet.”

Though Mister Bloodbayne was an impressive specimen in his own right, six foot three inches tall and with a build like a small wall, it was nothing compared to the Fifth Apocalypse. At six feet and nine inches he towered over the other man; his weight class indeterminate beyond the words Super Heavyweight, but his build akin to something carved by the gods themselves. It was easy to see, what with the whole of his body being covered in tight black spandex that served to highlight every muscle; and though it may have looked like no protection at all, the truth was that second layer of skin was a gift from his god and it was in all probability the best suit of armor one could hope for. Enemies rarely focused on the undead perfection before them though, no, it was far more likely that Xavier zeroed in on the feral jaguar head resting between El Rey’s shoulders, with its mouth agape and fangs bared.

Without further ado, El Rey threw both of his hands out, each one hovering around his chest with the palm forward and fingers wide, an invitation for Xavier to reach out and grab his hands so that they might test their strength against one another. The Apocalypse carried no weapons on his person besides the obvious; hands and feet, claws and fangs, and that massive body of his; so, it only made sense that he would request a grappling match from the start. But what contest of strength could be fair when up against an enemy of his size and build? If Xavier did step up and scoop his hands at most he would find a moment of victory against the beast, before El Rey put his body to use and forced the man to a stalemate, and eventually his knees if he was truly found wanting. And yet even with a result as inevitable as that the man would be a coward not to accept.

The choice of course was his, and nobody said that in accepting Xavier couldn’t clever about it, but only time would tell. As they waited, one of the purple spots dotting El Rey’s costume sprang to life, bubbling outwards with a life of its own until a lidless and swollen eye had taken its place. It was the first subtle sign that El Rey was gathering power, and there would be many more to come.

The red cloud energy which blanketed the floor began to quiver and lighten as the density of the cloud shifted and allowed the particles within the cloud to rise into the sure and surround the two fighters. This did nothing to block the sight of either man but rather cast a light red hue over the ring.

"It is." Xaviers deep voice boomed across ring in answer of El Rey. In further response Xavier gave a single nod off acknowledgement as El Rey finished speaking. Xavier had never been one for banter during a battle but rather chose to have his fighting do the speaking for him. As for what Xavier had locked onto about El Rey; it was simply El Rey as a whole that garnered Xavier's attention at the moment. From the Jaguars head upon his shoulders and the yellow eyes which peered back at him to the skintight clothing he wore against his body.

Now, with the cloud of energy dispersed so thin, Xavier could feel El Reys body and muscles shifting and moved into action in an instant with slow and thunderous steps. One thing was clear here; El Rey fancied himself the stronger of the two and sent a tiny twang of excitement through Xaviers body and just knowing that he was being underestimated. Xavier had seen men like El Rey before; maybe not exactly like him but he has faced down many a man whose claims of power were as fanciful as the rest. Beaten and broken Xavier would drag what remained to his source of power, using his blood to breakdown their bodies and better understand what separates their muscular structure from his own and he fills in the gaps. Utilizing his own energies and liquid metal to restructure himself on a microscopic level. So while Xavier did hold the body of a marginally smaller man than El Rey, he possessed such strength that it would nearly triple the power of an average advanced man of his size.

Whether or not this would spell out a victory of strength was beyond Xavier but he was confident in the fact that at any rate the two would come to a stalemate. With this in mind Xavier approached El Rey until he was within reaching distance of his outstretched hands where Xavier stopped, spread his feet 3 ft apart before moving them each 3 inches off center with the left foot forward and right foot back before bending himself at the knees. Arching his back slightly forward Xavier reached out and, should El Rey's hands still be there, interlocked his fingers with El Rey's so that their palms would be flat against one another.

If El Rey did not know of Xaviers body already than he would the instant the two touched. Xaviers skin would be soft and pliable to the touch, as it was supposed to be, but beneath the skin his muscles would not give a single micron as they replicated solid steel in their firmness. Xavier would waste no time in exerting himself against El Rey's grip; working to push against his strength as well also attempting to force El Reys wrists back upon themselves to gain the upper hand.

As Xavier exerted his body the mask covering his face began to quake and launhed two more spikes into Xaviers face; right along side the others. The blood which oozed from their moved to join the already existing stream which had now moved to Xavier's sternum. Creating a small circular pool of dark red blood on his chest.

El Rey sneered, insofar as a jaguar could, and allowed Xavier his silence. There would be time for banter later, when the roles of predator and prey had been established; but in the now, it was far more appropriate for the hunters to stalk one another in silence.

He practically slammed his palms into Xavier's when they were close enough. The force he generated in that small space was enough to release a resounding boom, followed by a wave so palpable that it could be felt across the system, if not through the billions of screens at home than through the roar of the fans watching them. Of course, it was mostly for show, any pain that resulted from the collision would be mutual and even the effect it had on the red cloud of power was intentionally negligible. And while the fans went wild El Rey was busy studying Xavier. Even with his sixth sense prowling through the man’s aura, taking stock of the fog around them and the blood running down his face in equal measure, there were some things that could only true be understood once they were felt. His strength, for example, was appreciable but also expected; it was instead Xavier’s increased body weight that drew the majority of El Rey's curiosity.

Overall there was still much for him to learn about this challenger, but the first impression sketched the image of a warrior who was at once stubborn and powerful.

Meanwhile, El Rey’s stance was a mirror of Xavier's, his feet spread three lengths apart with the right forward and the left back. El Rey's wrists refused to bend and instead used his height to descend upon Xavier’s wrists and return the favor. Whatever advantage Xavier's compact build gave him was met in equal measure by the first feral snarls of his waking god, and like this they were equally matched, maintaining a stalemate that caused the ring and air to quiver in terror. However, if they were to continue like this than the physiological differences would likely drive Xavier back, or force his hand. But, it was not to be, at the fifth beat passed El Rey’s left knee snapped up and into Xavier's abdomen, the force was more than enough to lift the miniature wall from his feet and would have killed a lesser man on impact. There would be a second knee incoming and a third one after that, each one stronger than the last with no signs of stopping until Xavier forced them to or El Rey grew bored of striking.

This however, was but a distant possibility, though the prospect of juggling Xavier on the cap of his knee was an amusing one, but the chances of his opponent being so weak after such an entrance were negligible. More interesting that would be seeing how the blood pooling around Xavier's abdomen reacted to the implacable armor that covered El Rey's entire body, how his opponent’s hyper density dealt to the prospect of enough blunt force trauma to bring down a building, and whether the warrior was planning some manner of trap with the building fog. Amid it all a second orifice emerged on El Rey’s armored flesh and his pooling power grew deeper with it.

The force the two men exerted was beyond incredible; Xaviers muscles could be seen quivering and quaking in vicious waves along his skin from the incredible force of both men. Almost without noticing it Xaviers lips twitched for a moment before a razor thin smirk appeared on his lips, just as Xavier had thought the men had fought themselves into a stalemate he could barely hider his excitement. Not only for matching the strength of a man El Reys size but at the possibility of an exceptional battle.

Xavier could feel a change in posture beginning in El Reys shoulders and the dark red lights that were Xaviers eyes began to move with fervor to piece together exactly what it was that was coming next.

From the yellow eyes within El Reys Jaguar mask Xaviers gaze shifted to his broad shoulders then back to his face; they were angling over him. Next his gaze shifted to their joined hands, snapping between them several times; El Rey was trying to use his size against Xavier. The skin of Xaviers forearms and the backs of his knuckles began to bubble momentarily as Xavier affixed his gaze on El Rey’s eyes once again.

In an instant the skin of Xaviers forearms and the back of his hands opened up with four pea sized holes and shot out steel rods from the back of his knuckles and two from each radius and ulna within his forearms. With pinpoint accuracy they would launch and connect with one another to help stabilize Xaviers wrists against El Rey; all in the span of only 2 seconds.

By the time El Rey was able to loom his body over Xavier it would be for naught and he would find Xaviers wrists would not budge. The glory of this moment however was short lived as Xavier could once again feel a change in El Rey’s body as it moved against the cloud of energy. It was lower this time; one of his legs was rising and seemed to be leading with the knee on a path that Xavier perceived as his abdomen. A pinpoint impact area would take too long to discern and so Xavier elected for a wide area defense and a single pulsation visibly rippled throughout his abdomen as the density of the muscles and blood within shifted just as the just as the knee hit home.

There was a sickly squish of torn flesh and a puff of red mist as Xavier’s abdomen was torn open and his blood vaporized and allowed to suspend itself in the air betwixt them. Immediately after that sound was a dampened metallic pong as El Reys knee collided with the literal wall that was Xavier’s metallic abdomen; denting that metal there with a nickel sized dent. Within Xavier’s abdomen there is not a single vital organ to speak of and was usually filled with the base form of his metal but it was now solid Dread Metal from pelvis to sternum and allowed him to tank an otherwise deadly blow. Even though his density had changed Xavier still found himself lifted a few inches from the mat and he could feel that El Reys knee was zeroing in for yet another slam and Xaviers abdomen experienced yet another ripple as it’s density was changed once again.

Suspended in air with another knee coming his way Xaviers mind never stopped analyzing the next course of action. The trajectory of El Reys first knee was still fresh in his mind and his energy still saturated the air so it was easier to read. Some of the vaporized blood of his wound began to come back together in front of the wound, working with blood that was coming from within the wound to create a piece of metal on his abdomen which held an 80 degree angle that was aimed off to his right. At the same time Xavier’s legs began to make miniscule position changes and his hips began a rotation that was intended to empower another rotation in his abdomen. The knee closed in on Xavier’s metal construct as his body began to descend and as his abdomen caught up with his bodies rotation and Xavier utilized the spin from this to capitalize on the harsh angle of the metal and maximize the deflection which should occur if all things went according. Hopefully redirecting the awesome force of El Reys knees to throw his weaponized limb off to the side for even an instant.

Xavier’s legs, hips and abdomen would finish their movements with El Reys knee deflected and move to instantly counter El Rey’s knee. Xavier’s descent of inches finished rapidly and as he landed he did so with his left foot forward and his right foot back; firing his right foot forward with his leg bent so as to send a knee flying back towards El Reys abdomen, though it was aimed midway between El Reys abdomen and right hip which would be positioned closer to Xavier had the deflection been a success.

Upon Xaviers chest the circular puddle of blood had begun to bubble and was growing in size not only from the blood that was trickling from the edges of his mask but also because there was blood being siphoned into the mound of blood from beneath the skin.

El Rey was impressed; first by Xavier's ingenuity and then by his resilience.

Equally matched as their strengths were, any attempt to break the rods with secondhand pressure would have been slow to the point of impracticality. Thus, by creating a brace for his wrist Xavier had neutered El Rey's advance, at least for a time. The downside was obvious, by locking his wrists in place Xavier limited their mobility and left them unable to react to more creative forms of subversion; unless, of course, Xavier was able to advance and retract the rods without consequence now that they'd been formed.

That in turn, presented a most interesting question.

Judging by the crimson fog surrounding them, the blood dribbling from his mask, and now the rods that had emerged from his boiling flesh it was clear that Xavier's power source was liquid life. Which is to say blood. It was safe to assume that this was no mere hemomancy, there was something special about Xavier's blood that no doubt accounted for his increased weight and supernal strength; in much the same El Rey's undead vassalage to the Jaguar God had transformed him into a something that straddled the line between organic and construct. The question then was whether or not Xavier's power extended into the realm of flesh warping, and if that meant he was impervious to long lasting physical harm. Not immune to damage, even the mightiest tanks could be worn down, but if Xavier was capable of rapid self-repair then El Rey's strategy would not need to change.

Likely from one of brawling and strength, to another that capitalized on the destructive nature of his ether. He could start imbuing his strikes with ether immediately, but to play his cards before their time, well…

Regardless, Xavier ate the first knee like a champ before being flung into the air, at home the fans were roaring and wincing in equal measure. But from El Rey's perspective things were a little different. The strike was more impressive than it was effective, which isn't to say it did no damage, but as one half of the collision El Rey could tell that Xavier had tightened his core to take the blow. Hardened in a way that superseded the mere clenching of muscles. What force did disperse into Xavier's body told him that the man inside was a curious one too, with little to no internal organs and hardened bones, no doubt an effort to limit the number of potential traumatic injuries he could suffer and to create more space for more tightly wound muscle.

A dent though, that was good, a little compromise here could lead to a big compromise there.

Xavier seemed to think the very same thing because when he was descending into the second knee strike he twisted to the side, throwing that considerable weight of his into a sideways tumble. Because of the tight nature of their movements, El Rey's knee would likely still scrape off of Xavier's side, but with the armor still in play and Xavier's considerable natural gifts the amount of damage dealt from a grazing blow wouldn't even be worth registering. Then he threw his own strike. It was a mirror of El Rey’s, performed with his right knee and hammering into the Apocalypse’s body to the sound of a resounding bang, and it achieved the same result. With the flesh of the Jaguar God like armor for his body and a body of cultivated undead might beneath that, Xavier’s knee found its force mitigated despite the impressive sound it made. He’d still done damage, but that was hard to calculate when El Rey was designed to ignore pain.

Not as mortal men felt it at the very least.

The Jaguar Mask loosed a vicious snarl of its own, gnashing teeth with spittle flying out; and though it was easy to mistake this reaction for one of pain, the truth was it was releasing a palpable aura of excitement. The mere act of violence and the prospect of more to come enough to spur it into life. At that time, El Rey decided to change his strategy, his left leg slid forward and settled in the space behind Xavier's leg as it fell back into line, a break in the man's stance and balance for what came next. Then with their hands still locked he threw his weight into a rush forward, for a man so powerful it was but a single powerful step forward and only intended to drive Xavier into the north-eastern turnbuckle, the ring would buckle and yet the padding seemed almost used to absorbing such portentous impacts.

Hopefully Xavier was still unable to stop him whilst

Should this be successful then El Rey would begin to rain elbows down upon the side of Xavier's head. This maneuver was performed with a twisting of his hips and a draw of Xavier's captured arms to the side, that way he could in theory expose the other man's head and deliver one sharp strike to the skull after another. Now that the secret was out, that the flesh of the Jaguar was like a suit of armor and a weapon all at once, those elbows became all the more frightening with how they struck with impact and piercing damage at the same time. This too was more research; how would Xavier deal with trauma to the head, if his skull wasn't strong enough to stop all the force then could his brain weather it instead, and if damage was dealt then did it really matter in the long term?

What of that mask and how would he escape?

Up to this point it seemed as though El Rey was content to 'capture' his opponent in close quarters where he could pummel Xavier with repetition. By putting the other in the corner, he would in theory eliminate his ability to angle from one side to the next, but many a monstrous wrestler had underestimated just how tenacious their opponents became when trapped. Not that Xavier was anything less than another monster, but it almost felt like El Rey was inviting mister Bloodbayne to do his worst. There was no masochism and no sadism behind those yellow eyes, only an earnest love for the art of fighting, one that ran deeper than any romantic or sexual connection ever had.

Meanwhile; a third orifice opened upon his body.

Throughout the entire swing of his knee Xavier could feel that contact was all but inevitable and the red speckles of energy which encompassed the ring began to come to life with thin, entirely harmless, arcs of the dark red energy which created them. They were merely a visual representation of Xaviers increasing excitement. However both his excitement and the glow of the lights would falter for only a moment as the impact took place; with no obvious signs of an enacted defense El Rey had managed to tank a good portion of Xaviers knee. Now as Xaviers foot began to drop back towards the mat his eyes could be seen gliding back and forth over El Rey’s body, focusing on the black form fitting suit that stretched across most of his body. The hit had been minimized by something that lay atop El Reys skin and the only thing upon it was that seemingly thin piece of clothing.

Shit Xavier thought to himself as he could suddenly feel a change in El Rey’s stance as his left foot moved behind Xavier’s; but it was too late and Xavier could feel that. So rather than waste time trying to stop it Xavier set about removing El Reys ability to manipulate him by their joined hands. As El Rey forced himself forward he would be able to feel an exertion of pressure on his fingers surrounding Xavier’s as forced Dread Metal was forced to layer itself between their fingers. In the same moment the collection of blood which had been bubbling on Xavier’s chest suddenly split into two separate circles which would slowly rotate around one another. Xaviers left leg lifted quickly from the mat and shot backwards to catch him just as his right ankle slid over El Reys, after which his right foot shot backwards so that he could successfully back pedal.

As his right foot pressed back into the mat, the rotating puddles sprang into life by launching themselves forward and shifting to conical metal spikes which lurched at El Reys yellow eyes within his mask. They did not attack in unison though but rather one at a time; the first spike was as intended to be as distracting as it was deadly and to make El Rey dodge in some manner before retracting. The second would utilize the energy field that clung to the air around them and Xavier's split second mental command to follow up the first attack with incredible speed and lethality before retracting and being followed up by the first one again. In this method the spikes would attack almost constantly at El Rey’s face while moving towards the turn buckle and once more after collision

With a dull but powerful thud Xavier was thrown into the turnbuckle and allowed the braces on his wrists the shift back to their liquid form and add themselves to the metal between his and El Rey’s hands so that it seemed that Xavier was now wearing thick metallic gloves, though he would not be wearing them for long.

El Rey torqued his body and began to wrench on Xavier’s hands when Xavier commanded an unseen change to only a portion of the metal which had encased his hands; liquefying the center and maintaining the solid metal exterior. This allowed Xavier to separate their once joined hands with little effort on his part, leaving El Rey standing and holding seemingly metal gloves in his hands as he began his attack. Xavier made further use of his energy cloud to see which limb would be used to attack him and dropped his knees while shifting his head to the side in perfect timing with the first elbow to duck and avoid it; again shifting his left foot forward and his right foot back so that he was practically sitting on his right foot and planted his weight upon the ball of his right foot.

During his duck Xavier tucked his arms in towards his chest after freeing them and touched his palms to the puddles upon his chest so that every last drop was upon his hands. Now, as he had fully crouched, Xavier extended his right leg out directly towards El Rey while angling his palms towards him as well and thrusting them with full force at his abdomen. Mid-strike was when the blood on his hands came into action and extended into the metallic spikes once more to grant Xavier two pinpoint impact zones for the power he was exerting.

El Rey was not impervious to damage so much as he was impervious to pain. Of course, his large frame and reinforced physiology did a lot to cover that which his armored second skin did not, but Xavier was a powerful striker in his own right. And yet, whatever damage had been done to the Apocalypse was only ever acknowledged with the perfunctory thought process one might use to assess a chipped nail.

When Xavier set his feet to the mat and began to pedal backwards, he not only slowed El Rey's advance but also guaranteed that he had some measure of control over the proceedings, not nearly enough to stop himself but just enough to affect a counter attack. The pool of blood that had been building at Xavier’s chest split into two segments, which then stab at El Rey's eyes with a frightening speed and an alternating pattern designed to catch him off guard. El Rey dipped to the right and dodged the first spike, then to the left in order to dodge the first, and so began a subtle bob and weave. This new movement only slowed his advance by a fraction and kept him from losing an eye. Even if the spikes still struck, without a clean hit they’d find themselves glancing off of the jaguar’s thickly armored maw, earning little more than a snarl of irritation for their effort.

But El Rey was not done.

Just as El Rey was set to enter a comfortable rhythm, he proceeded to cross his arms and Xavier's with them. On top of creating a brace for when they finally hit the turnbuckle, the act would also create a decent shield that began at chest level, in the form of two heavily muscled and woefully bare forearms. Just dodging was not enough for the Apocalypse. He wanted to squeeze every last drop of punishment out of the time he spent tangled with Xavier, if there was even a possibility that he could maneuver the Bloodbayne into stabbing his own arms then he would take it, and whether it worked or not they slammed into the corner.

BOOM!!!

The ring roared with protest but did nothing, could do nothing, to stop them. The stabbing may have stopped, but in the interceding time a pair of metal gloves had formed over Xavier's hands without displacing El Rey’s grip, proving that his opponent was both an efficient multi-tasker and a decent out-of-box thinker. Such contests could become messy, this much was true, and yet at the same time there were few things quite as playing chess with one’s opponent. Nothing would stop El Rey from executing his offense just as planned though, not even Xavier, who instead sought to use it to his advantage. It was a tight space for two very big men to maneuver around one another, but Xavier slipped his hands out of his newly minted metal gloves and ducked beneath El Rey’s elbow. Then, when his head was low and his hands free, Xavier palmed his own chest and absorbed the two puddles of blood that had formed there. These puddles became a new set of gloves, with which he delivered a thrust up and into El Rey’s abdomen; summoning a pair of spikes on the inside of each hand at the last moment for added penetration.

It was now clear that Xavier viewed his blood as a resource, but unclear as to just how much of said resource he had available to him, for even with his blood flowing freely for several turns he seemed completely unaffected.

El Rey was able to see such fine detail thanks to his ability to peer through the darkness, and with three additional eyes scattered across his body to do just that, he was more than prepared to defend against Xavier’s thrust. Speaking of which, a fourth eye had opened, only for the first one to close, leaving the total for this turn at three. The Apocalypse brought his hands down to meet Xavier’s thrusting palm with his own. The metal gloves he grasped would bear the brunt of the strike, in addition to keeping those spikes from digging into his hand, though it was all but guaranteed they would crumble after, either because of Xavier’s raw strength or his command over the material. When that happened, El Rey would already be rotating his hands down, past Xavier’s hands and to the space between his arms where he was free to grasp the Bloodbayne by the wrists and then wrench his arms wide. An act that would expose his core. Then, just as Xavier would have reached the apex of his thrust, El Rey proceeded to deliver a devastating encore in the form of another knee strike, and he brought the apocalypse with him.

El Rey did not simply strike Xavier, he unleashed a torrent of destructive ether in the wake of the blow, a veritable flood that spilled out across the immediate area eradicated all that it came in contact with. On the material plane is appeared as a deep purple flame which ate everything it touch, but this was a mere visualization, the universes attempt to rationalize that which was wholly unnatural. Beneath their feet, the white ring mat shrank back to reveal the thick plywood below, all six ring ropes severed around them, and the post itself was protected by Xavier’s body but still snapped off at five feet by way of sheer force then flew off.

As for Xavier? Well, that remained to be seen. The blow itself was easily ten times that which he’d used on the Bloodbayne before, his undead body swollen with supernatural strength the moment he unleashed a charge, but that was hardly the issue. The real question was how Xavier dealt with the rampaging ether that spread across his upper body. His skin was likely a lost cause, but were his bones and muscles dense enough to survive a meeting with the apocalypse, and would his supernatural blood be up to the task of keeping him alive once the worst had passed? If he was wounded grievously the question then was how would Xavier recover; was his blood also capable of healing wounds or was he the kind of bastard who kept fighting and ignored a gaping chest wound?

Regardless of what happened, should the blow land it would fling Xavier from the ring and into the space normally reserved for the crowd, obliterating the guard rail and toppling empty chairs before finally allowing him to stop.

In the ring El Rey would loom, his arms spread wide and a roar filling the back of his throat. The metal gloves had ceased to be in the wake of his attack and even the fog (white and crimson) would be obliterated in his immediate area. A wall of crimson roiled behind him as though incapable of advancing further, what was left of the ropes snapped like serpents of plasma, and from on high the droids drew their spotlights to him and him alone. For therein was the only person worthy of standing in the ring, within the Luchalliance and especially without, and in a booming voice he called out to Xavier; “Return to the ring and face me, or abandon your mask and flee!”

The back pedal would have been almost without force as it was enacted; El Rey had already begun to shove Xavier by the time the back pedal began and Xavier simply managed to keep his feet from being dragged along. With his upper body moving ahead of his legs they would never have been able to strain against the awesome power that was El Rey. Xavier had known already that the tactic was sure to succeed and had instead set about enacting the other counters as his body was shoved at the fully intended speed. Xavier had made no effort to slow El Rey and so the pair would not have been slowed at all during El Rey's shove and thus he would be left unable to cross his and Xaviers arms before Xaviers was slammed into the turnbuckle.

This of course did nothing to stop El Rey in his attempts to elbow Xavier in his head nor were his movements slowed; putting Xavier Midway through his thrust attack as he felt El Reys hands moving through the air. The spikes tore forwards as Xavier's eyes shifted from the spike tips to the metallic gloves upon El Reys hands which were clearly intended to take the hit and again he knew he could do nothing to stop their advance; but he wouldn't need to.

The instant the impact occurred the spikes finished under going a structural change which took away the hard physical exterior that would have caused a blunt force reaction. Replacing it with a loosened structure of liquid metal which possessed a consistency similar to molasses, allowing the spikes to collapse under the force of meeting the metallic gloves on El Reys hands. The gloves fell in quick succession and added to the wave of metal which Xavier willed to stretch and engulf El Reys hands as Xavier pushed it forward.

Just as quick as the metal had lost its solidity it regained it would regain it around El Reys hands in an effort to encase them in solid Dread Metal for even a moment to throw him for a quick loop. Quick as an action as this was if it we're allowed to sink home El Rey would have to exact immense force to free himself. Meanwhile Xaviers hands were left to palm this metallic mound in a thin liquid layer and free to detach from it at a moment's notice in a blur.

Xavier had to take action as though this mound was going to work and shifted his weight effortlessly to his left foot and began to extend it forward so as to lose the bare minimum of the forward momentum he had established ready. Meanwhile he bent his elbows and rotated his wrists so as to roll his hands with ease from the metal mound while making fists; positioning them back in line with El Reys chest. As Xavier's hands tightened into fists they squished out a thin layer of metal that Xavier had managed to maintain from the mound which quickly created metal spikes upon his knuckles. The spikes we're significantly smaller than his others but their premise would be the same in pinpointing his power.

With a heave Xavier extended his elbows the instant his hands were clear and aligned so as to fire them at El Rey's abdomen once again. Propelled by his extending left leg so as to capitilze on his follow through so as to shove him back at the very least if this attack we're to hit home. Stopping him from having the time to fire out his ether based attack.

Had El Rey been the kind of man to offer advice, he would have warned Xavier against this course. This desperate attempt to fill every moment with peril would only leave him vulnerable. A warrior must be swift, but not so much so that he acts with haste, and his every movement must be clear in mind if not heart.

Such was the folly of youth...

He was not surprised when Xavier reshaped those metal gloves into metal orbs, trapping his hands within. Given Xavier’s acute control over the bloody metal from whence he’d formed the pair, this been a distinct possibility from the very beginning. Seeing it come to fruition merely taught El Rey that much more about the enemy. However swift Xavier may have been, contact was made and his attack had been stopped, at least for a time. Meanwhile El Rey never bothered to initiate his attack, it was pointless to strike with his knee now, what with hands being trapped. But even with both attempts stalled this was far from a neutral position.

The Fifth Apocalypse merely took a step forward and thrust his captured arms into Xavier's abdomen, unleashing the same devastating attack as before, but this time in stereo.

Of positioning, it was perfect. No attempt had been made to stop El Rey from sliding his hands between Xavier's forearms, most likely because the other thought he wouldn't even bother, but that was far from the case. He was mere inches away from Xavier's core with a pair of working hands, if that, while the other was only halfway through his own rising strike and forced to circumnavigate El Rey's beastly limbs just to deliver a neutered version of his initial attack. The choice to cut Xavier off at the pass was much an act of mercy as violence.

Of the orbs, they were no problem. Though Xavier surmised that El Rey would have to produce an incredible amount of force to break them, he had forgotten that El Rey was force personified. The mere act of clenching his fingers into fists within those orbs was enough to send cracks flying across the surface. Inside, any metal that had been between his fingers and palms was ground to dust. Then, in that short distance he utilized every muscle in the body at once, gathering the full of their strength with only an inch of draw, just to pummel Xavier.

But just as before, physical force was merely a supporting actor to the real threat. Not one but two apocalyptic blasts tore out from his fists, evaporating what was left of the glove-orbs into nonexistence and then rampaging through Xavier's abdomen. Two turns had been spent stopping the attack from happening, no turns had been spent preparing a defense against it, and thus it was safe to assume that the attack would go off unmolested. The ring post tore off, the ropes and apron evaporated, a gaping hole would open in Xavier’s chest born of energy that would flay the rest of his upper body and pelvis.

Then when it was all over El Rey stood in the ring alone, his arms spread out to either side of his body and a snarl in his throat, just as a fourth eye emerged from his costume.

[Edit: Fixed punctuations.]

While it is true that Xavier had not specifically stored his energy for a defense but it was also true that in the end, he wouldn't need to. For what El Rey may not know is that Xavier was already surrounded by mass amounts of his own personal energy, both in the form of the red particles which danced in the air and the energy which composed the metal that encased El Rey’s hands. On its own the energy in the metal would almost be superfluous as it was simply used to enable full control of it. However once the metal has been destroyed before it can revert to it's blood form, such as being ground to dust, then that energy is released back into the world at practically the same power levels. Yes Xavier has had blood supply destroyed as the metal was gone but even still his supply was vast and could be replenished through a massive intake of Chaos Energy to catalyze into Dread Energy.

Dread Energy is one that cannot be destroyed for it itself is a branch of destruction itself; a power below Chaotic in nature and yet above it in power. It’s constructs, Xavier included, can however be broken down to their rawest form of Dread Energy at which point it is released back unto the world for Xavier to manipulate once more. The power of his energy is due largely in part to Xavier’s indomitable will that was responsible for the very mutation that allowed him take his powers from the god of Chaos. The other gods now cower before the impossible existence that is Xavier and his Dread Energy. It can overpower practically any powers which would attempt to battle for supremacy; primarily other destructive or chaotic natured powers.

As El Rey would crush the metal betwixt his fingers and jeopardize the structural integrity of the steel with cracks he would in turn release plumes of Dread Energy from within; for in that moment he released practically a full turn charge of the energy. Xavier could feel El Rey's hands clenching as his body shifted forward and in that moment Xaviers eyes began to widen as he felt the energy that was beginning to mix with his; there was a sense of familiarity along with it. There was nothing for him to do to avoid it so Xavier would simply allow for his bent legs to go limp whilst his abdomen hardened just as the metallic mound came into contact with his abdomen; busting into several chunks as Xavier's body was thrown into the corner of the and the mat as his loose legs helped to absorb the blow by crippling under the force; the earth quaking beneath his back as splinters of plywood littered air after Xavier had slammed home. With held from sight was a set of stone pillars which torn through wrestling mat as Xavier had fallen so as to support him with the very earth itself and not simply the shredded turnbuckle behind him and Xavier repositioned his hands so as to place his palms to the mat as he hit.

The burst of ether came next and broke down the remaining metal between them; adding 2 extra turns of energy into the air through their destruction to create a wave of Dread Energy which would ride upon El Reys own destructive waves towards Xavier. Before sight of Xavier had been obscured it could be seen that the red light of his eyes was shining vibrantly as he willed the Dread Energy from within the air of ring to begin moving towards his body.

Despite this energy being created Xavier had not the time to cover himself entirely before the ether of El Rey made contact, however it was Xaviers own energy which collided with him first and coated his skin with itself before it billowed around him and what remained of the turnbuckle. Rejecting the vast majority of El Reys ether and redirecting it to the outer edges of his body. The skin of Xavier’s front side still boiled and bubbled before turning black as the heat withered the intentionally weak flesh to ash. The energy was protecting the skin as much as it could, but in the end the flesh was more for looks than it was for any practical defense. Both skin and energy were being used to deflect the ether away from Xavier’s body so as to allow his metallic muscular structure to stand up better. The force of El Reys blast had flattened Xavier’s energy into a small cocoon around him, stopping him from massing the energy for total deflection; but this would soon change.

For behind Xavier, while his skin was melting by fractions of a second, El Rey's power was laying waste to the surrounding country; leaving a cone of unscathed land beginning at the remaining shred of the turnbuckle behind Xavier. With every atom that was destroyed in El Rey's attack he would in turn release Chaos Energy unto the world and Xavier would be rewareded with a miniscule charge of power by means of the Chaotic nature of this event. Usually a rather small addition, however El Rey's devastation was far reaching and amazing and Xavier was rewarded with an incredible surge of Dread Energy that would seem to come from almost nowhere as El Rey's ether spread across the land. It would make the lights of his eyes burn bright enough to shine through the ether.

In one instant Xavier would be enveloped in the ether of his opponent and the very next the skies darkened to a red hue just as a plume of dark red and purple energy would cleave through the ether field. In doing so it would be revealed that the mass of energy was coming from Xavier's eyes, which were still surrounded by the mask, his mouth which held no lips to cover the steel teeth and the gaping hole between them where Xavier’s nose had once stood . All the skin below and above Xavier's mask on the front side of his body had been burned away to reveal the glistening muscular structure beneath. The massive slabs of muscle that are his pectorals could be seen as having some singe marks where the ether had deflected off the metal of his abdomen. The time to take it all in would be extremely brief as Xavier's massive torrent of Dread Energy would split through the ether field and continue to fly towards El Rey with incredible speed.

The density and viciousness of this Dread Energy was worse than the most nightmarish of sandstorms as an inconceivable number of separate Dread Energy particles pounded together; creating red arks that danced among the energies. Xavier had created a conical plume of energy which would open wide to encompass El Rey’s entire body as it would devours a path through the ether. There would be a massive physical force within the billowing plume comparable to that carried by a loaded and speeding semi truck, but this was simply the first effect. Xavier’s energy was one that could devour practically anything that has been placed before it; weakening the structure of any object which bares the misfortune of experiencing a direct physical attack. To prevent said affect from comprising ones arms and/or armor there would have to be some other form of energy actively defending against it to prevent that physical contact. For even against the mightiest defenses each microscopic particle of Dread Energy was capable of devouring almost any material placed before it. That’s not to say that El Rey would find himself to be suddenly nude in the ring, but there is a distinct possibility that he would find certain areas of his suit to be weakening from prolonged exposure. For Xavier’s torrent would be relentless up until the point that there was something else for him to worry himself about.

The blast from Xavier’s face was set for contact less than a full second after El Rey’s own blast stretched across the land; power levels rising as the damage continued. How would El Rey fair against this blast of energy that Xavier was returning at him? What was the familiarity that rang in the back of Xavier’s mind as El Rey’s ether had washed over him? If what Xavier thought was accurate, than El Rey received his powers from something within the Chaotic Element much like where his own had mutated from and would find himself hard pressed to defend against it entirely. What’s more, there’s a good chance that he may also eventually succumb to the insanity or hallucination’s that are known to follow exposure to Dread Energy. If only due to the fact that his powers may fall into the lineup of the very energy Xavier is most easily able to overpower for his own.

Unfortunately for Xavier, that potential energy would not be as useful as he was hoping. El Rey could do nothing about the mercurial nature of Dreadmetal, which is to say he could not stop it from transitioning from one phase to the next, but he had accepted that fact the moment Xavier dropped to the ring wreathed in crimson fog. What he could do, was remove it from existence entirely. This was the power granted to him as the Fifth Apocalypse of the Luchalliance and there were none who could defy this edict be they mortal or immortal. As such, though Xavier had time to absorb some of the latent Dreadmetal in the surrounding area and in the metal gloves, due to the simultaneous nature of his punch and explosion a great deal of that potential energy would simply cease to be.

Not ground to dust, not evaporated, not even reduced to a base state of free energy. In sheer ignorance of the laws of thermodynamics it was simply gone. That isn’t to say that Xavier couldn’t produce more or draw energy from the ambient chaos in the surrounding area. But destruction was a double-edged sword and wielding it as a source of power was in no way a guarantee against its touch, it was a frightening prospect for many cosmic warriors, who often held their personal power source as sacred and superior. Above all attempts at reproach. However, to stand against El Rey was to discard such foolish notions, for nothing was ever safe standing before him and even eternity came to an end.

Perhaps Xavier had seen beings similar to El Rey, but he had never seen anything exactly like him.

Yet, the powers of destruction and chaos were fair in their own twisted way. El Rey was not able to subvert Xavier's powers in any way other than sheer force and volume, with clever application playing a secondary role, and he certainly could not make them his own. Everything El Rey wielded could be destroyed, in fact once the energy of his ethereal super punch had expended itself, there would be no trace of it to be found even if one were to sniff through every dimension layered beneath this one. He could, and would, produce more not only by drawing on his inner reserves but by leeching from the ambient chaos all the same. If Xavier wanted to steal El Rey's power source for his own there was but one way, to defeat him in a martial contest and then accept the title of the Sixth Apocalypse. The generally accepted way to do this was in melee, though La Maquina seemed determined to prove she could do it at range, and having access to spells didn't hurt either although magic was by and large blunted by his armored fur.

In a sense, the two of them were caught in a cosmic sudden death match.

Whether the specifics of El Rey’s power gave Xavier pause or not it hardly mattered. The Master of Blood and Metal was not intent on retreat, hell, he didn’t even let El Rey give him the chance to do so. He summoned a pair of earthen pillars to replace the fallen ring post and braced himself against them, the explosion had knocked him from his feet but thanks to those pillars he was able to land on his rear maybe a few inches back from where he’d been before, his hands splayed out to either side of his body and his head turned up. That Dreadmetal which he’d managed to summon had formed a skintight shield over his entire body with which to weather El Rey’s assault. He hadn’t been fast enough though, and the further out from his core the more his skin had flayed away to reveal the pulsing red and corded metal beneath. Meanwhile the Fifth Apocalypse was left to loom, fists clenched at abdomen level and smoking in the aftermath of a mighty attack and no doubt transitioning into another position as he advanced…

It was not a good position to be in.

Xavier was pooling his energy and anyone with a lick of sixth sense could see it coming. The crimson light pulsing in his gaze was a telltale sign that there was something big on the horizon, but as swift as his preparation may have been, El Rey’s was on him just as fast. Since his opponent wasn’t leaving the ring and there was no distance between them, it was no longer safe for him to grandstand and would also make no sense for him to demand the other get back into the ring, so instead he chased his falling opponent. Two of the four eyes on his costume snapped shut just as the beam of power warmed over him. El Rey directed a fresh charge of apocalyptic power into coating his body in a shield of energy so as to deflect that roving wave of power. El Rey concentrated his energy to a fine point, so that he became not unlike a rock standing amid a flowing river, and though he could feel the incredible force of Xavier’s beam wrenching at his body he refused to fall back.

Not even a half second later El Rey’s left arm was diving out of the beam and palming Xavier’s skull, fingers like claws burrowing into his scalp and then wrenching back. This would mitigate the amount of time he had to spent swimming through the optic blast by directing it up and into the atmosphere, where the Masked Judgment’s power shields simply deflected the beam. Nigh simultaneous to that would be his right fist crashing down and into the side of Xavier’s head, fingers clenched tight and with spikes of neon purple power surrounding it. The charge he’d spent went into turning his fist into a mace, calcifying that frightening power which he wielded into several solid-state constructs designed to punch their way through Dreadmetal as he understood it, though they’d work just fine on muscle and bone. By advancing while his opponent was still falling and bracing, El Rey was preempting any attempt at a defense, taking advantage of the new positioning and punishing Xavier for his hasty attempt to stay in the ring. Because of this, the fact that he was going straight into attacking out of a rest state and Xavier would be bracing himself before entering a defensive one, it was safe to assume he’d get at least one or two good punches in before anything happened. It also went without saying but a man like El Rey dropping his fist on someone’s face was devastating, the force alone would be enough to rattle the earth for miles around, and the spikes of power in question would hopefully provide the x-factor necessary to eradicate any passive or poorly prepared defensive options in place.

The blows would continue to fall, one after the other and faster than the eye could follow, up until Xavier stopped him. As for the second charge he’d spent, well that would come into play a little later…

Warning!

Auto-Kill Inside

To many warriors of many worlds perhaps it holds true that the power of El Rey and his energy were a spectacle to behold; but to Xavier, it was strangely pathetic. When one delves beyond the muscles and the girth they find nothing more than a tiny man striving for greatness. Xavier was a man whose will was so strong that he tore his life from the clutches of feeble God’s like He who gifted powers to El Rey. Xavier could understand enough of El Reys power to realize that it branches from Chaos Energy and despite the rather vague nature of this revelation; it would prove enough to be El Reys undoing as he fights against Dread Energy. There was enough of a personal mutation with El Rey that would prevent Xavier from outright devouring overpowering the energy but it would allow his energy to stand up to the barrage of power which swept over the separate particles by rejecting its Chaotic element. As if this wasn’t enough, Xavier could feel fluctuations within the energy stream to signify that its power level was dwindling shortly after it appeared; Reys power was not a constant like Xaviers, so once it was used it would vanish from the world entirely. This meant that as El Rey later waste to the earth with his energy; every miniscule wisp of Chaos energy put into the world was freely gifted to Xavier and subsequently mutated into Dread Energy. Resulting in a writhing cloud of dark red energy that would roll in from the devastated countryside to assist in Xavier’s attack.

The blast of Dread Energy would connect with El Rey in the one spot that Xavier felt was the most unprotected; his face. Even if there was a bodysuit covering this area it would undoubtedly fall beneath the onslaught of Xavier’s Dread Energy for just one impact of the energy was more than enough to cause physical objects to weaken as bits and pieces of their form are torn apart. What’s more is that an instant after the beat against El Reys face Xavier began to enlarge the particles so that each brush with his energy would that much worse for El Rey. By the time the extra energy hit, just a half second after initial impact, the individual particles were the size of metallic BBs and were focused into a plume of destructive force that would be concentrated onto El Reys face. After impact the Dread Energy would curve quickly into the air so as to loom above the two fighters in a constantly growing mass of dark red energy.

El Rey would do nothing to evade; there either was not enough time for him to do so or he realized that in fighting against Xavier the only outcome was death. Whatever the reason; El Rey would not survive.

By means of his energy rushing passed El Reys form Xavier could feel only a moment of resistance before the overall shape of El Reys face and head began to smooth out as the Jaguar mask over his shoulder was destroyed first. The size of El Reys head began to diminish quickly as the enlarged particles slammed against it, until Xavier could feel that only El Reys skull remained.

There was a brief rumble beneath the ring before Xaviers upper body was suddenly flung into the air by means of the stone pillars which stood strong against his back. His feet never left contact with the ring and simply allowed him to pivot upon his heels. With a quick jolt of movement Xavier threw out his left hand in a quick jab and collided his knuckles against the bare skull of El Reys forehead; knocking his block clear out of the ring behind them as he quickly shifted his weight back unto his feet. With his right hand Xavier grabbed hold of El Reys left shoulder before kicking his now limp left leg at the knee to force it to cripple and begin to fall; but with his right hand holding El Reys shoulder, Xavier stopped the body from hitting the floor so that he would be glaring nose to nose into El Reys eyes. If they hadn’t been entirely annihilated just moments before hand.

Leaning over El Reys body Xavier would position his still open mouth over the hole where El Rey’s neck would have been and the torrent of Dread Energy spilling over his metallic teeth focused itself once more before shoving itself into the open wound upon El Reys shoulders. At this moment Xavier began to shrink the size of the particles back to a thin sand like structure just as the cloud of energy above the two men lurched down through the air to add itself into El Rey’s body. El Rey’s entire physical structure was being broken down at a molecular level and the secrets of his strength were subsequently given to Xavier through his energy.

The viewers at home would be able to see and possibly even hear this knowledge being put to immediate use as Xaviers upper and lower body began to crack, pop, stretch and elongate while fibers of his muscular system could be seen visibly loosening and unweaving themselves to allow Xaviers body to stretch to 6’8 before his muscles would weave themselves back together again. The muscles upon his large body were nowhere near as large in size as El Reys but Xavier had taken their basic structure and filled in the gaps of his own body to mimic and increase the power that El Rey’s was able to replicate with larger muscles.

The transformation was over when the last of the bones in Xaviers feet had reset themselves; leaving only the pitch black bodysuit suspended in the air before him. I could be seen that something was pushing out against the interior of the bodysuit in a multitude of different locations as Xavier tested the properties of the material. Needless to say, he was impressed with it. However; facial expressions would have been a little complicated seeing as his skin had been burned away. Perhaps though, with this garment as a construction basis, Xavier could fashion a flesh like material that could provide some added defense. The Dread Energy suddenly vacated the interior of the bodysuit and allowed it to shrink and tighten back to its original form, allowing Xavier to throw it carelessly over his shoulder. What good is it to a dead man?

There was nothing left of El Rey in the ring now and the announcer was going frantic over the airwaves over what had just transpired before his eyes. Xavier simply drowned it out as he marched to the side of the ring opposite of him; eyeing the still white skull that would remain of El Rey. With a flick of his fingers the Dread Energy in the air collected round the skull and lifted it into the air before gliding it towards Xavier who stood now with his right hand outstretched near the rings turnbuckle. Once he had it in hand Xavier ran his fingers longingly along the surface for a moment; rapping his knuckles against the forehead and noting how thick it felt.

Without wasting more time Xaviers mouth began to open; his jaw bone audibly snapping out of place so as to open his mouth to an unnatural degree. With his tongue stretched out as though to catch a snow flake, Xavier would cram El Rey’s skull into his mouth and down his throat in one swift movement that was devoid of a swallowing action. Xavier has been careful to only destroy the flesh and muscles on the outside of El Rey’s head so as to leave the flesh of the brain intact after killing his opponent. The entirety of any ability that El Rey possessed or lessons which he had learned up to this point would be discovered in time. Xavier would 'digest' this information over the next few years and it would eventually be used to create a new line of abilities ontop of his increased size and strength.

The remaining Dread Energy in the air swarmed upon Xavier as he finished devouring the skull and it obscured vision of his form entirely as it swirled and writhed in a massive whirlwind. In the next moment the entire sky shifted to a dark red tone as a massive bolt of red lightning erupted from the writhing cloud in the ring and shot into the sky where it practically exploded and sent a massive electrical shockwave rippling throughout the airways. Xavier and his energy were gone with that massive flash of light; his body broken down to the rawest form of his energy and scattered into the space between worlds. Xaviers home away from home.

Xavier Bloodbayne, you have failed your mask.

I have not read your final post, nor will I do so. A bare skimming of the post, and a reading of your laughable 'Reasoning', shows it to be disrespectful, arrogant, and presumptuous - especially in a fight which you should have lost long ago. Twice before, I have counseled Tezcatlipoca towards forbearance and cooperation, from the desire to have one single fight in this den of iniquity and dishonor that went properly for once. This, however, is strike three. Your 'Reasoning' is flawed and your choice of methods is craven.

'Dread Metal/Energy' being indestructible, infinitely reproducible, effortlessly persistent, and held to be automatically superior and sovereign to all other forms of 'destructive energy' is the powerset of a coward. Such a 'tool' is not for those who seek glorious and honorable contests of will and wit, but is instead the safety blanket of a player unwilling to accept defeat.

RPGuild officials will no doubt side with you, as this website has repeatedly proven itself hostile to the Luchalliance. That is as it may be. Know, however, that to those who fight with fire in their souls, steel in their bellies, and glory in their spirits, you have proven yourself worthy only of swift and savage disposal.

Tezcatlipoca, you are free to end this match however you see fit in El Rey's timeline. Should you wish to continue this farce, I will not stand in your way. If honor is beyond this wretch, perhaps sheer brutality will get through.

Do as you desire, free of censure. Show Xavier why El Rey is known as the Fifth Apocalypse.

Wow. Just...Wow. Not only have you managed to come off self-important but you've also managed to insult a site and a fighter all in a single breath! Your talent's seem to have only improved with time. I've reserved myself to not interacting with you in any negative fashion as I do not wish to be perceived in any facet as unwilling and un-wanting to play with certain people (Yes, those individuals happen to be a part of either the Luchalliance or in some way or another a story or website with you) simply due to someone unwilling to mature past old habits. Not only is this the most ill written piece of garbage I've ever had the unfortunate luck of seeing - it's also the most pandered and cockamamie thing I've ever seen!

You state you don't read his final post and yet you trash it? So did you read it or did you not? You can't have it both ways man. Besides, if this fight was lost long ago (By your eyes due to your restrictions) then why didn't someone grab a judge to claim such? Is this more to do with your own fear of bias by the site hosting this battle versus the truth? If so I can understand that to a point. It would make sense. Yet you tell him what he can and cannot do with his abilities? In a formatted fight that has no predetermined rule set written or set in stone? Please. That's like saying someone cheated in a game with no rules.

Dude, I'm not gonna sit here and insult you; not my style. What I would say though is that this wasn't your thread to post in let alone jump in and insult someone simply because you don't like something they did. In his reasoning, Xavier explains that he patiently waited a response for a post that was made almost a month ago with no response! He doesn't have to wait longer just because someone can't be arsed to post. What I can say is this air of elitism you like to cloak yourself in (whether its an act or how you truly feel is immaterial) wasn't called for nor were your insults on dudes Honor.

Besides, who are you to tell someone else that their powerset is "Without honor" when you can't even move beyond your own limited spectrum? Cmon Man. Don't start flinging mud.

I've no personal vested interest in Xavier outside my meeting him in the TZDL. Yet even there, he has demonstrated amazing fairness and willingness to work with just about ANYONE on ANYTHING. You need to step back and reevaluate your choice of words. Regardless of your intent here - your input was neither wanted nor necessary. If Tez had an issue I'm sure they're adult enough to of responded on their own so do yourself a favor and stop being a guard dog to those who don't necessarily need your protection.

I know i'm sure to earn your response in some fantastical insult or some other backhanded comment; just know this. Before you fling insults, don't forget - your side isn't the only side.

@Decoy Well said!

@DLL
I do not retract a single word of my reasoning. I stated very specifically that there would be those who did not agree with what I did; but that doesn't change the fact that it has been done already. You'll notice I didn't ask for anyone's permission to do what I did; because I don't care who thinks what about it.

As I said; the right to a debate was lost when he stopped debating. I don't care why he did it; he shouldn't have. Because now he's lost. If he wants to post saying otherwise than that's his decision

I also said beforehand that I would provide the PMs for anyone who wanted them. No one has asked; but here they are. You can draw your own opinion on the entire thing now.
