[OOC] A Tale of Owls and Wolves (Casual Version)

Okay, so I've made the first post! If there is at any point in the RP something that you'd all like me to elaborate on further please don't hesitate to ask me! I am more than willing to provide more detail whenever needed. I will type my posts in the IC as if speaking to you directly for immersion purposes, but I'd prefer characters to respond in third person so it's not confusing.

I may make some grammatical/wording tweaks here and there for the first post just because it's kind of a rough draft, but this is essentially the beginning of the story. (Most of you) have been branded with a mysterious sigil and have been compelled to come to this festival. For those of you this does not apply to- I will message personally. Given certain backstories, sometimes a quest might start off differently for certain characters.

Also, I'd discourage posting in the IC immediately as I'd like to give everyone a chance to finish up their Character Sheets. I just wanted to get your idea...juices..flowing? Yeah, ugh...

If you're feeling particularly inspired you're welcome to write a post now. I just didn't want people to feel lost! I am definitely interested in seeing how different characters interact at the festival.

Also, back to asking for clarification. A good example would be:

"Hey Famo, our characters have glyphs on their hands. Are these glyphs particularly noticeable?"

to which I'd respond

"Great question, the glyphs look like a scar, but continuously pulsate (as if there were bugs underneath your skin). Other players would notice it, but it's unlikely the drunken citizens of Ardent's Fall would".

Ok I see now that I was to slow with my CS. I'm willing to become one of those reserve characters if thats ok. I'm still working on my third draft of a CS. I have the idea for my character, but I can't imagine how I would actually play her properly in the IC since she is so naive. Revising at the moment.

No don't worry about it! I hadn't planned on starting the IC today by any means! I just ended up having more time than expected and got a little work done.

It's totally okay for your character to be naive! Please don't worry about that. If you want some help or are unsure of how your character might interact feel free to ask me or the group as a whole! We're all here for a good experience.

You were one of the first people to express interest so I already have a spot reserved for you! If you aren't comfortable in the main party though that's totally cool! We'd love to have you in that though. Your character is honestly really interesting. Also, you're welcome to post a draft of the CS if you'd like

Also, can I just say that I'm a little too excited that someone used the Dregs as a place of origin. I hadn't even thought of anyone living there, but it makes perfect sense for your character.

Hey all, I just wanted to note that anyone with finished Characters can submit their post to the IC. One or two characters will be introduced slightly differently because of their backstory, but I've already messaged the players this applies to!

I'm glad! I was looking at the different continents to figure out a place where a zombie might find himself. The Dregs in Valenndale caught my eye, and conveniently on the elf continent as well. Had some swampy looking features to it and I thought that was perfect.

Where he's from originally is anyone's guess, but "waking up" in the Dregs is currently his earliest memory.

Hey all, sorry for another notification, lol. The party is pretty hefty right now. I've been thinking that it may be a good idea to split the parties into two and RP on a specific schedule. Is that something people would want or would we rather just RP as a full party?

I'm fine with either, but I want to gauge where everyone is at. There are a lot of amazing characters, and I don't want anyone to think this is me trying to push people out of the main party. I'm really enjoying all of the ideas coming my way!

I think that may be easiest, but it'd admittedly be less enjoyable for players as I don't want people waiting super long :/

As for your other question, yes! The parties would be joining together at parts of the story that make sense. Their decisions would also affect the other group. I'd also be completely okay with rotating players around for a chance to interact with new characters. I'm open to suggestions

Hmmm. It'd be cool if we could do two different IC's for each group, but I'm not sure if there's anything that will permit something like that on this site. How big are you aiming to have one party be?

(Is it okay to call you Lion?) I thinkkkk there is a more collaborative type of RP setup on the site (it's an expansive version). Which could work potentially, but I'd honestly really hate making everyone migrate again. Especially because of something like that.

I think doing separate RPs and then having a conjoined RP tab would be extremely fun though! But what would be the reason for these two groups to be separate?

I think it's a cool idea to have both groups get close and become allies within their group, and then have two groups roleplay with eachother, but still find home within their given group. (this is so wordy, idk if any of it makes sense.)

I get what you mean; having multiple interwoven threads with a good number of players and an active community would feel great! I'm going to look into this, and hopefully some others will give their input. I do have a reason that the parties could be separate but I don't want to spoil anything- just know it could totally make sense story wise.

Also, that theme is amazing, nice find!
