I assume that you're still taking applications - here's mine.
Name Dag Hereson
School Year Finished Sixth Year
Short Bio Dag (short for Dagwood) is the youngest of two sons, born to parents who are both active members of the wizarding community. So active, in fact, that their activity in their own family has never been much of a forte. Without a normal sense of familial reinforcement, Dag is a fairly independent youth who's been allowed to form a somewhat eccentric, and possibly dangerous, dogma of his own.
Dag is a tall white kid with brown hair. He keeps his hair in a pompadour and his face clean shaven, since growing anything on his face is as of yet out of the question. He has the leaner build of a hiker. He's agile and quick-witted, though not all that strong physically. The most obvious quality about Dag is his sense of determination and strategism. For those who don't necessarily know him very well, he's an agreeable kid, and he's okay with letting others believe that. He doesn't have very many friends, but nevertheless can be charming enough to put others at ease.
Having never been part of a venture into foreign lands, Dag leaped eagerly at the opportunity to travel to Egypt, fantasizing that he might come away with some new knowledge or artifact that would help him achieve his ultimate goal of reforming various sectors of the world of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
He also hates cats.
Classes taken Ghoul Studies Apparition Alchemy Transfiguration Study of Ancient Runes Arithmancy
Wand Ebony and Unicorn Hair
Hobbies Geocaching (with an emphasis on occasionally hexing said geocaches) Functional manipulation of Muggle machinery Trolling people on the internet during the summer Street Artistry
Extra Dag is something of an enigma in that he typically prefers to not be so open with others. He's more comfortable with falsifying information about himself so that nobody will ever really know what kind of person he is. This is something he learned from his older brother, who decided that the more wrong about you someone is, the more wrong they will continue to be; they will always underestimate you, so when you strike they will be unprepared. His brother, however, hasn't been in the picture for several years. Dag is convinced that he died, and doesn't think much on the subject anymore except during the lonely hours of the night in the Summer.
That is correct, he will be returning for the last year of his education at Hogwarts.
That begs a question, for reasons of curiosity; Do you intend to segue into a year at Hogwarts from the end of this summer trip? That would be cool.
Yes the end of this school trip will result in everyone going to home and then to school less than a week later. That week will be an important time skip; however, and everyone will be getting some information from me via private message.
Short Bio Miriam is a shy spirit who learns to come out of her shell through her magical studies. She's a pureblood witch with a love for anything and everything related to the muggle world. She grew up in a muggle lifestyle despite her parents being a pureblood witch and wizard. She is the oldest of five siblings, all boys.
Miriam finds it extremely hard to make friends because of her shyness. She studies magic on end and she enjoys it, more than many of the other students.
Classes taken Potions Charms Transfiguration History of Magic Astronomy Flying Herbology
Wand 11 inch Applewood wand with a dragon heartstring core
Hobbies Quidditch/She's learning it in order to make the Griffyndor team one day. Magical studies so she can get better at it. And finding out what Patronus she has.
Extra Only because I wanted to (and I'm fairly obsessed with Doctor Who at the moment), I decided to make her the daughter of Clara Oswin Oswald and Rupert "Danny" Pink. She was 6 years old when both of her parents died. She takes good care of her brothers as the oldest child. She is the youngest of her class, having been born in December. Miriam has a snowy white female owl that she named Rosalinda, and a female tortoiseshell kitten that she calls Macie. Before her first year at Hogwarts, she was 10 and got her letter that June before having to get everything on her list for classes. She's incredibly bright, and loves anything having to deal with Egyptian history and was completely ecstatic finding out that she had been selected to go to Egypt.
Professor Harsiesi and the group of students will be allowed to accompany a field team exploring a newly discovered magical oasis city found deep in the heart of the desert. Students will be allowed to earn both school credits and experiences otherwise not allowed at through our normal school curriculum. As this would be a special activity we must first get your approval for the student before extending the invitation to them as well. This opportunity is only available to students who have passed their 4th year courses.
Keep in mind, I'm NOT the GM, but it's worth noting that technically your Character wouldn't be able to go because of the age guidelines. Aside from that you might be able to get in on special approval from @World Traveler.
Just wanted to check in with you and make sure you are still wanting to be part :)
I hadn't heard how your holiday week was going to be so if you are busy and can't post that is fine. Just let me know! It could be that your student and @Loki Odinson spoke to the professor and could be planned to arrive after the other students.
The students first assignment is here! Key points for you to remember.
There is only one map and it is immune to duplication magic of any type.
You are allowed to use magic, but all location magic seems to not work (explained later)
I am happy to welcome everyone to add their own take on the Grand Bazaar so if you want to add anything the shops are selling or showcasing feel free too. The goal of this assignment is to give everyone's character a chance to explore as well as get to know each other (After all there is a very new student in our company :) )
Happy to answer any questions you might have on here or through PM :)
