Ooo, I kinda like Golddust....what about, uh, Gilgamesh!? Totally just throwing something out there to contribute...

Here is my sheet so far though, wanted to post the bare bones of my sheet up while I finish off the bio.

Kane

Name: Kane Willbrook

AKA: N/A

Age: He honestly doesn't know but assumes he is twenty something.

Appearance: Neither particularly tall nor short Kane often stands a few inches higher or shorter than the average man with an equally unintimidating amount of muscle to boot. Truth be told he looks as though he would be more at place as a servant or some wealthy Yank from up north what with his straight posture and finely manicured features.

Not one with many stand out characteristics it is worth noting that three of his features in particular do make the otherwise invisible man named Kane stick out in a crowd. Features such as the particularly unique shade of dirty blonde hair he usually keeps trimmed short and slightly sweeping to the left-the very same shade of dirty blonde that hangs beneath his bulbous nose in what was quickly becoming a thick pushbroom styled mustache the older he got. The final, and by far most memorable, of the stand out features of the otherwise prim and proper looking gentleman is the simple black leather eye patch worn over his right eye. His left eye however is still completely unblemished with a deep forest green iris.

Not one to worry about looking gaudy and spending so much time on the road that he cares little about varying his wardrobe to the point that he is almost always seen wearing some combination of the same tailcoat, vest, white undershirt, slacks, and custom made black leather lace ups on his feet. Like most men of the day he also wears a hat, more specifically a black bowler that is almost permanently affixed atop his head.

To the common man Kane looks like a somewhat well to do and rather eccentric individual whereas any truly upperclass members of society would be quick to realize his clothing is really just a mishmash of pieces that clearly were made for other people.

Bio: Optional

Weapons: Kane's only weapons are two pristinely taken care of Remington Zigzags, one of which is rigged to a Kepplinger Holdout device he wears under the sleeve on his right arm. The harder to reach of the two is tightly nuzzled in a secret pocket located on the inner left side of his vest towards the bottom of his ribcage.

Relationships: Kane's mother is long dead and he never got to know his father. Orphaned at a rather young age he was the only child his mother ever had and therefore has no siblings to speak of. The majority of his adult life has been spent following card games so much so that he hardly stays around in one place to have any real friends to speak of, let alone any actual romantic interest.

Recruited?: Yes

Other: Despite his extremely humble beginnings Kane has actually reached a point in his life where he can afford most luxuries due to his skill at working almost any semblance of a gambling table. When coming to a new town he always carries a hefty stack of bills separate from his “gambling funds” largely to keep up appearances and get him a seat at the good tables even if he is having a bad run of luck.

Another odd factoid about Kane is he does not know how to ride a horse In any real manner, instead often relying on stage coaches or his own two feet.

Dean Jackson

AKA: N/A

Age: 40

Occupation: Traveling musician and occasional bounty hunter

Appearance: A tall man standing 1.87 meters in height, Dean is in good shape from constant activity. His hair is buzzed short and his beard is neatly trimmed. Scars mark his back, whippings from decades in the past which the markings of are still evident. He always has his acoustic guitar strapped around his back, it is his most prized possession and one he's had since childhood.

Bio: Born in deep southern Mississippi on a plantation, Dean was born into slavery. At an early age he was torn away from his parents along with his sister, Layla, both were sold to another farm in Alabama. The two siblings learned to stick together from then on, always clinging together when they were brought to their strange new home. Dean was particularly picked on by his masters, he was often on the receiving ends of beatings by the cruel slavers, at times taking the punishment for his sister's mistakes. His life was relatively simple for slave, he was expected to pick cotton and work as hard as possible at all times. He still despised every second of it, being considered someone else's property and not being allowed to make his own decisions angered him.

Naturally blessed with a fine singing voice, Dean was given a guitar by one of the slave masters. The man taught the boy how to play it, seeing it as a potential way to make money off Dean. In his free-time he'd frequently make songs, and sing to the other frightened slaves on the farm. He convinced one of the house servants to teach him how to write, and this enabled him to become a better musician. The interest in music helped alleviate some of the pain and sorrow on the farm. Following the end of the Civil War, Dean was given full freedom. A young adult at that point, he immediately set out west on his own, accompanied by Layla. Dean vowed to leave that life behind him, but never to forget the cruelty he endured.

On the journey west Dean often took gigs playing music in bars and taverns across the land. Still often on the receiving end of hate and racism due to his color, he made enough money for Layla and him to get by due to his talents as a musician. While traveling towards Texas one day, Dean and his sister were approached by a group of five men. Hurling slurs and hatred their way, the troublesome group attacked Dean and Layla. The former slave was thrown to the ground and beaten brutally, the money he had collected taken from him. Then he was forced to watch as the evil men forced themselves on Layla. Then in a bout of laughter they killed her, a single bullet through her skull as tears streamed down her face. The men left the beaten Dean alive, then left as quickly as they had arrived. Dean gave his sister a burial, he vowed revenge against the five men.

He continued towards Texas, now with new intent as he seeked vengeance. Aiming to become stronger so that he could kill the five men, he forced himself to become better with a revolver. Then he took bounty hunting jobs when he could, normally low level ones that would paid just enough so that he could get along, but not too dangerous that'd he end up dead. He tracked down one of the men several months later, finding him separated from the larger group. Driving his dagger into the man's gut, Dean made the man speak and he did. The man told him everything, who his boss Richard Dawson was and where the other four men had gone. He stabbed the man in the neck, and moved on. For the last few years he has been on his mission to find Dawson and the four men that hurt him and killed his sister.

Weapons: Dean carries a Colt Single Action Army .45 revolver and a Bowie knife for weapons.

Relationships: Dean has not seen his parents since he was a very young boy, both were slaves and he was separated from them decades ago, he believes they are both dead. He had a younger sister named Layla, but she was killed by Dawson's gang. Due to his wanderer tendencies, Dean does not have many constant friends. He has made friends in the past, but he's left them behind in his travels. He doesn't yet have an opinion on anyone in the group.

Other: He rides a brown horse named Autumn.

Alright, I know we got a couple more people making some Characters, but does anyone have an idea on how they want to start their story?

I was thinking about Leo and the people who have already decided to work with him are going after some of Dawson's higher ups to send a message that his days are numbered, and thus, chaos ensues.... That's just an idea though!

@Loki OdinsonHaha yeah I actually was checking out the interest check thread of this before I came over here and started formulating up my character, but I wasn't sure where in the west this was gonna take place. So I was debating on whether she should be Yavapaii-Apache, Hopi, or even Navajo. Then I saw your character and I decided to go with Sioux as well to have some common ground with at least one character haha.

@Jones SparrowFor Zuya I was thinking she's probably been stalking Dawson and the men that killed her family. Maybe they run into her then or something?

I was thinking Bernard could start by either blowing something up (or at least trying to), or being incarcerated for public drunkeness and disturbing the peace.

With option A, he's more pro-active with his hatred for Dawson. With option B, it would be a little more pathetic (but probably easier to integrate with other people who are looking to cause Dawson some harm, if you catch my drift.)

It would depend on what you think would work best with the RP's story and such.

@EllisBell That could work, especially if they get outnumbered fairly quickly! I'm thinking of a way to kick us all off, so no one's really stuck looking for a place to jump in!

@BurrahobbitI like the explosion thing! I would love to see Bernard setting up some explosives on some building, and he accidentally lights it before he was supposed to because the fire fight comes towards his area, so while everyone's fighting, they're also trying to put out the fuse so they don't all blow up XD

I also thought it might be a good idea to make a Discord chat server for this RP, considering how large it is. A chat like that could make it easier to communicate with all the players.
