Name: Solmakall Aliases/Titles: Demon of the Night Age: Unknown Race/Species Werewolf, Wendigo Hybrid with Human Base DNA Gender Male? He likes male pronouns so... let's go with that! Languages Can understand most languages, yet can only English barely.
Height: 10' 7'' Weight: 548 LBS Body Type: Well muscled and built Eye Color: Vibrant Red Hair Color: Wisping Black Smoke Skin Tone: Inky Black with Red Accents
Personality: Solmakall, or Sol as he prefers to be called, is a big of a perplexing sort. Big, strong, durable, fast, lethal, vicious. All attributes that he qualifies for, yet his true personality is much different. He's curious, inquisitive, and all around generally kind when he isn't provoked. Like a bear looking at the landscape. Don't threaten him and he won't rip you limb from limb. In fact should you approach with kindness and warmth he's more than likely to return it in his own sense. Though it's mostly accented by his seemingly low intelligence. Not to fool anyone though he is quiet smart, just his smarts lie in the fields of survival, predatory nature, hunting, and tribal culture. So he's no fool by far, but he is a bit displaced given his current location. Still, why not make the best of it and learn about all these new sights and smells! Habits: Anywhere, Anytime - Being a full time badass and predator is exhausting! This in turn has given him the nasty habit of taking naps basically anywhere he wants, whenever he wants. Some times it's cute, others an inconvenience to those around him. Though mostly because nobody wants to be the one to wake the sleeping bear. Shameless Curiousity - Much like a dog or inquisitive pet, he doesn't mind going or getting a little too close to people and places he probably shouldn't. Most of the time this is meant for learning about new things and is innocent, but it's still a tad rude. He just doesn't know that it's rude. He's used to open signs of attention. Likes: - Napping - Ranging - Nice People Dislikes: - Mean People - Vegetables - Bright Lights - Big Words
General Skills - Survivalist Training - Range Mastery - Foraging and Wild Craft Combat skills - Supernatural Strength: Augmented by his semi-magical form and laced heavily with the Primal Darkness that fills his home world he's gifted with abnormally great strength. - Supernatural Durability: Much like his augmented strength his ability to take a hit is also further increased by the Primal Darkness of his home. - Expertise with Claws, Teeth, and Tail Combat: Who needs made weapons when you are a living weapon? Steel-like claws, teeth, and a whip like tail give him all the combat power he needs. - Regeneration of the Wolf and Wendigo: About what it sounds like. He's a quick heal and a fast start up to be fixed. But he has a problem and a blessing. He isn't affected by normal means to damage either creature but is instead hurt by all things. Just to a very lowered degree leaving him incredibly hard to kill. Weaknesses - Bright Lights: Given his binding to the Wendigo he's weak to bright light of all kinds. a shine to his eyes when he isn't shielding them is a painful and often times stunning thing for him. It's still painful even with his shield, but he can manage with a roar and a yell. - Simple and Concise: He's lost a large section of his mind from the experiment that made him, leaving him much more primal and feral. - No More Shapeshifting: While the wendigo part of him fixed a lot of issues, it failed to leave him with the ability to turn Human again. Now stuck permanently in his twisted shape.
Background: Solmakall was... Human... Maybe... He doesn't rememver anymore, but in truth he was. A Human by the name of Alic Vashar. A foreigner from lands far away brought to Belvior by a want to seek out new notes and research on the monsters that plagued the land. But this was so long ago, when they were rare and uncommon. That was when he was taken by the witches. Pull from the forests and his research to become... different. He became somebody else's experiment.
An oddity in the world. Solmakall as he likes to refer to himself is a mystery of science and magic crafted from deep and dark rituals that bred, man, werewolf, and wendigo genes into a single Hellish creature. All in the name of giving the deadly Wendigo the lethality of the Werewolf, with the Intelligence of man. Creature the perfect creature in a sense. Though listed as a failure, he still lives to this day, plagued by various issues and blessings from his twisted birth.
Made by the witches and wild things of the world he was discarded when he was listed as a failure, having weaknesses to light, and being quiet dumb. However, little to the witches knowledge he survived being dumped and instead grew to be a still lethal and deadly beast of the world. His intelligence stunted, but not dead he was a monster of a tribal kind, wanting to bridge gaps and assert dominance over monsters he deemed lesser. Eventually becoming a pack master and ruler in the kingdom of the wild world. Though this wasn't to be his life. As he then learned that Humans existed...
Curious at first to the people who hated him, he found himself drawn to these strange and odd creatures. Not knowing that it was the Human side of him that wanted to subconciously return to his original people as Human was the base of his experiment. Still it wasn't so sad for him, until he was shunned and deemed a Demon of the Night. A hellisih beast that must be slain. That is when the hunters came. They slew his tribe as his tribe slew back and he was confused. Seeing such slaughter on both sides and his monsters were the first to sling a blow... But why? The Humans were like him. They made cities, had rulers, and all sorts of other things. So when it came to his turn to be slain he didn't fight. He merely talked, at first to little regard which did break into a fight, but only in self defense as before long one of the Humans talked back. Angry at first, but then... much more curiously as he began to understand what this creature by the name of Solmakall was. He was curious. Just as it was. Now Solmakall had a chance to be on the other side of the field. If only somebody could stomach working with him.
Everyone! I'm going to try to get a first post up either later tonight or sometime this weekend. I plan on using the Zeroeth post for a bounty board/list of jobs. I'll try to keep it updated as the story progresses, but that way you can have your character choose what job to go on, who they go with, and you can largely determine the outcome of said fights. I will provide feedback as needed but I want you guys to be able to have some freedom and not rely on me being around all the time in order to move on with your characters.
I added the Bounty Board to the front page of both the OOC and the IC. I also made the first post. Those who are still working on CS's, feel free to keep working. Those with approved characters may begin posting.
Name: Aster No-kin Age: 20 Creature: Altered Human Appearance:
Alchemist - Aster has trained and studied the science of creation, and knows how to research and combine ingredients to produce the effects he desires.
Animal Traits - Aster has several animalistic traits, including keen senses, enhanced reflexes, and superior night vision. He cannot see certain colors, however.
Well Liked - Aster's easy going personality and quick wit make him easily likable among strangers. He is used to charming his way out of sticky situations before things go too badly.
Obvious - Aster has difficulty hiding his true nature for long. A hood can only hide so much, and when people begin looking too closely, his horns are only the most immediately recognizable of his disfigurements. He often has to pack up his life and move when things become too hostile around him.
Weary - Among the many changes to his body, Aster burns far more energy than normal. When he is not busy doing something else, he can usually be caught dozing off in a comfortable spot.
Out of Touch - Aster spends most of his time alone, his only real contact with the outside world being stories that others bring him when they come to him for remedies. He has no idea what's going on in civilized society.
Dependent - Aster must regularly take a remedy to stave off the worst side effects of his transformation. If he doesn't he is wracked with debilitating pain, feral tendencies and eventually death.
Personality: Aster is a cheerful and likable person, but tries to maintain his distance from other people for obvious reasons.
History: Aster was always too clever for his own good, and not quite clever enough to stay out of trouble. His first experience with alchemy was breaking into the local apothecary when he was just eleven years old, convinced that he could brew up his own potions and become a famous scientist. All he managed to do was make himself sick, but the owner of the shop, either out of respect for his attempts or just worried it would happen again without direction, decided to take the young boy under her wing and teach him. At first, he only learned simple remedies and treatments, allowing him to help with the shop, but eventually his thirst for knowledge reached his teacher and she began to teach him how to make more specific droughts. Potions to enhance one's strength, to provide perfect recollection or that would force the imbiber to tell the truth. Aster greedily drank in these lessons and begged for more, soon using his growing knowledge to devise his own concoctions. When he reached the end of his teacher's knowledge and was still left wanting, he left his home to search for more advanced tutors.
He traveled for years, stopping at each major settlement he came across and offering the locals help in exchange for money and any knowledge they had. He became an adept alchemist by the time he was sixteen, a prodigy by all accounts, but still he wanted more. He began to wonder why the potions he brewed must be temporary. Wouldn't it be far more effective to find a way to permanently increase a person's strength, rather than brew a new potion for it every day? His research eventually led him to brewing potions with animal blood, attempting to combine those abilities with a human safely and permanently.
He was only partially successful.
When he finally managed to craft what he was certain was a potion of everlasting abilities, he decided he was the only person he could reasonably risk in his experiment. He drank his concoction with barely a second thought, and then followed it with a sleeping drought, certain the alterations would take hold better in his sleep.
When he woke, he woke in blinding agony, confusion flooding his mind as he tried to find his attackers. Surely this much pain could only be inflicted from another? He wrapped his arms around his head to stave off the foes he couldn't see, only to pull them back with a hiss as something sharp punctured his skin. Reaching blindly in his bag, he grasped bottle after bottle until he found the shape of his numbing medicine, taking the drug so he could think clearly. As the potion went to work, he stared at his reflection in the glass surface of the vial, suddenly revolted and unbelieving at what he saw. His once brown hair was now ghost white, and there were four sharp horns, coated in blood, jutting from his head. Blood flowed down his face from his hairline, covering his features in crimson streaks.
Just as he was contemplating what to do, he heard hurried footsteps outside. He smelled burning lamp oil and the sweat of fear, and knew that he had to leave. If anybody saw him like this, they would surely call for his head. Quickly gathering his supplies, he broke several glass implements in his hurry. Once everything was put together, he ran for the window and shoved his way through it, dashing off into the night and spurred on by the shouts of terrified villagers. From there, he ran as fast as his new body would take him, disappearing into the forest. That forest, and many others besides, would he his home from then likely for the rest of his life.
Lady-in-waiting to the Duchess Calista of Silchester

P E R S O N A L I T Y T R A I T S
Amara is a rather alluring character, her ability to woo and win others a trait that she had picked up during her years in Silchester. She is knowledgeable in several topics and subjects which heightens her craft to be involved with others. Her appearance is rather a tool that she holds highly; something that she has grown to understand the advantages of. To most men, Amara is attractive and enticing. Her curiosity on the world and works of the Kingdom makes her intimidating to some. Amara is fluent in both the arts and science and is quite charming and sociable.
S T R E N G T H S
[+Intelligent] Amara worked closely and diligently with her tutors and mentors. She picked up several languages and skills during her time in Silchester. The court of Calista’s also brought people of all sorts from around the nation. This enabled her to learn more about the people and places that were beyond the city walls. [+Charming] The tasks that Amara were expected to learn with the Hutton household taught her how to become a rather pleasant and convivial individual. This was an imperative tool that she sought to excel in order to successfully complete her mission. [+Independent] After the death of both of her parents, Amara learned not trust others but herself. She found that if she wanted to gain access into the Kingdom, it was best that she picked and chose the people that would be of use to her. Unfortunately, this also meant that she was without trusting allies.
W E A K N E S S E S
[-Physical Strength] Most of Amara’s time was spent indoors and away from physical activity. The most that she could make of her strength would include lifting no more than 30 pounds. [-Sly] Amara has an agenda of her own that will in default be treason. If she is not careful, her connections and actions may very well be her death. [-Flirtatious] One might argue that this a strength. It may very well serve as a weakness as it will bring predicaments to Amara’s story down the road. Her manipulative means could go out of hand if she were not careful.
H I S T O R Y
Amara is the only child of Elgar Froste, a farmer in Norfolk. The small town was located in the western part of Sankt Gallen. Norfolk was forged with sickness, in which took her mother’s life when she was 8 years old. The plague had brought poverty upon the village. Not only that, the people were wary of the news of the monsters that were lurking closely at their town’s doors. When her mother had passed, Amara was sent to live with her Aunt at the capital of Silchester for the duration of the mourning. Upon her return to her father, Amara was greeted with a desolated Norfolk. A month after the sickness had nearly wiped out half of the townspeople, there was a cloud of armies that had raided her village. It was said that the disease was spreading. The kingdom simply couldn’t find a cure. There was news received that the King himself had ordered the massacre in order to induce the plague to spread any further. Unfortunately, Elgar was not able to escape the purge and was killed during the raid. Amara was carted back to her Aunt as an orphan to await further instructions for her future.
She had vowed to bring justice to her father and the people of Norfolk.
At 16 years old, Amara agreed to leave her Aunt for the Hutton household. There she had spend the past six years learning about the noble families and how the royals functioned. There were tutors of all sorts accompanying her and several other girls her age. Their role was to learn how to be a lady-in-waiting and learn it quick. Their subjects ranged from dancing and music to poems and philosophy. It was a difficult at first, as she knew nothing about being a proper lady. Her wit and desire to survive allowed her to surpass all trials and errors though. She had one goal in mind and that was what allowed her to continue on. When Amara turned 23, she and two others were sent to serve the Duchess Calista. They were to make their debut in Rothenburg, where Amara plotted to serve her vengeance.
