Tinley Abercrombie

Location: Outside the Prison -> Inside the Prison
Skills: Mimicry, Bluff

Tinley felt the crushing weight as her leg was broken. She bit her lip, trying to force the vehicle off of them before Flynn phased it off, allowing her to crawl away. "Thanks Flynn." It was all that needed to be said. Flynn was a hot-head, an asshole, and a jerk, but he was still a good agent. Capable. He just needed to work on his attitude. And hell, maybe she did too.

That didn't matter now though, the team had managed to take care of Corpus. Bonnie distracted him and Matt finished him off. She could tell the two of them had been through a lot and as much as she wanted to check-in, they still had a mission. The guards that came out had perished, but there would be more inside and she didn't feel right blasting in to get Thane, possibly injuring more people. The sooner they got Thane out, the better. "Brilliant work team. We can't stop now. Next, we go in to get Thane. I'm going to pretend to be an associate from another prison here to transfer Thane with the help of SHIELD. That way, you guys don't have to pretend to be someone else. Just back up my story and we can get Thane out of here quickly."

Tinley walked, or rather hobbled, her way into the prison. It hurt with every step, but there was no time to see to it and Tempest was elsewhere. Once inside, she hailed the nearest guards. She disguised her accent, to add a cherry on top. "Hello. My name is Veronica Peterson. I believe you all should have been made aware of me coming but I can imagine it got lost in transit. I'll fire my assistant first thing. Be that as it may, I am here to take Thane di Angelo into a facility better equipped to handle him. Not to say you all have been doing a poor job, but Mr. di Angelo has more of a need in a higher-leveled facility. If you would be so kind as to gather him for transport, me and the agents from SHIELD here will see to his transfer. Also, if someone is capable of giving me a pain-killer or something. The attack outside injured my leg."

Tempest Renroir

Location: Cardiff Castle
Skills: Hacking

Tempest stared down Thanos as he did so with Oliver. The battle had been won, for now, but it seemed as if the war was far from over. Even though some of their enemies were taken care of, Thanks still had intentions with Thane, which meant the other team was in for a fight. Hopefully, they would manage. Once she was sure Oliver was all right, she assessed the others. Cassandra and Maria were doing ok (or as ok as Cass could be with her sickness). It was Sparky she was worried about.

After all, the woman just found out the man she loved, the man there, was a Skrull. He had been lying to all of them, but most notably her. And Tempest could tell it hurt more than anything. She wasn't the best with emotions. Hell, she couldn't tell the guy she liked he was cute, but she decided the best thing she could do was be there. "Umm Sparky? I know anything I say probably won't make a difference, but I am truly sorry. I didn't want to say it, but I figured everyone had a right to know. If you need a moment, fine, but we do need to keep going." She let the hidden message lay there. Sparky was still sick.

"We need to go see the others then. Hopefully, they can get Thane quickly before Thanos does something else."

Oliver Sullivan

Location: Cardiff Castle
Skills: Hacking

As the hologram appeared, Oliver found his heart racing, ready to attack the next thing that showed up. Taking a deep breath, he steadied himself, reestablishing proper control over his thoughts and actions. He didn't take being frightened well, and it showed. Watching the exchange between Thanos and his servant, he took his phone out, and did what he did best: hack. He figured that, if this hologram was there, he might be able to figure out where it was coming from, and he was, to an extent. It was sent from somewhere in orbit, which made sense. If they could teleport in, then they could be anywhere.

Thinking he might be able to clone their system and examine it later, he gave it a shot, but this software was beyond anything he'd ever seen, and even copying it proved to be too much for him. Taking advantage of the lull they had, Oli decided to do some digging on Mr. Di Angelo, and learned about the nature of his sentence. Prison security, unsurprisingly, was a joke compared to what he normally worked on, and got in fine. Apparently, Thane was serving a sentence for arson, and was considered an escape risk. That might make getting him tricky, but they'd come up with something. Breaking in place was significantly easier when you had the Sorcerer Supreme by your side, after all.

Cardiff, Wales: February 14th, 2021 - 5:30 P.M.

Cardiff Castle...

Strange looked at Sparky, pity swelling up in his heart for her. He hadn't known her - yet he was familiar with Raynor. The Asgardian had been an irritating force in the Age of Ultron timeline, and while he had made the wrong choices, they were for the right reason. "Agent Sparks, if I may... If you have his hairbrush or comb, perhaps even his toothbrush, I can attempt to divine a location for you," Strange offered. "I would have to determine if there are any variations for Asgardians, yet the magic should be effective." That was all he could say at the moment.

He first made a portal underneath the skrull!Raynor body, placing it back onto the quinjet. Doctor Strange concentrated then, creating a gigantic portal underneath the quinjet, sending it to outside the prison. Sweat was trickling down his face as he closed it and made his last portal. "If anyone has a granola bar, that would be appreciated," he said, his stomach growling as he went on in, only closing it once everyone joined them.

HM Prison Cardiff...

The guards bought everything Tinley told them without a second thought. Perhaps it was from her talent when it came to bluffs and deception. Maybe they had seen the carnage outside and figured they weren't paid enough to die for their country if they said no. A few minutes later, a squad of seven guards returned with Thane di Angelo. He was incredibly hairy, easily seven feet tall, and was built like a boulder. "This is him, Ms. Peterson," one of the guards said. "Is your transport outside?"

Thane stared at her, a cocky smirk slowly coming up on his face. "Damn, you're prettier than the last lawyer, sis."

Bonnie Chase

Location: Outside HM Prison Cardiff
Skills: Jack of All Trades (Medicine), Perception, Intuition

Bonnie was confused as to why she hadn't died. She could account for the gashes on her face - her helmet had cracked during her fight with Corvus Glaive. The jagged edges cut open her face. The force from her being thrown backwards like a rag doll had broken her nose and caused the rapidly forming bruises all over her body. All of that was logical. She couldn't explain how Corvus had failed to snap her neck - or how she hadn't died from the impact. "That should have killed me.... This... this doesn't make sense," she murmured to Flynn. Her heart warmed seeing him.

Slowly, Bonnie worked herself up into a sitting position. Everything ached, but nothing was broken beyond her nose - and her ankle. She winced as she made the mistake of trying to put weight on it. The doctor refocused on Flynn for a moment, frowning as his injury jumped out at her. "Your knee - don't put weight on it. I'll need to take a look at it, give you some medicine for the pain until we can get Tempest here." Slowly, she used her good leg and her hands to push herself up off of the ground, raising into a standing position.

Something had happened to her - whatever that vision was... Bonnie had a feeling it was what was responsible for this. She'd need to run tests and diagnostics later. Tinley had already gone ahead into the prison. "We're not going to be able to win," she said quietly. Bonnie took her helmet off as carefully as she could, trying not to cut herself again on the jagged edges. The Terrigen Mist didn't hurt her anyways - she wasn't a mutant or an inhuman. It was safe, relatively speaking. "Not with brute strength... We'll have to trick them."

She yelped a bit in surprise as the quinjet dropped in out of nowhere, followed by Strange and the others.

Matt checked the corpse. It was in fact a corpse. That was good. Matt didn't want it getting back up while his back was turned. He was still a bit tempted to put another couple bullets through the guy just to be certain. This guy Thanos had some nasty subordinates.

He followed after Tinley and entered just in time to hear the question about transport. "Yes, it is." He wasn't lying since Strange and the others had shown up. They all looked beat up...and Raynor wasn't with them, which after what Tinley had said about him being a Skrull that was probably good. They didn't understand the Skrull aliens yet, and having one on their team again was not good. Bonnie was going to have to do the blood tests all over now. He sighed.

Matt glared at Thane for his comment about Tinley. He'd let her slap him herself if she desired. He did nod at the guards doing the handoff. His wrist was throbbing, but there would be time to get it fixed after those with direr injures were taken care of. Like Bonnie. She was lucky to be alive, and Matt was pretty impressed with her.

Frederick Flynn

Location: Outside the Prison
Skills: N/A

Flynn let out a sigh of relief when Bonnie started talking out loud. At least she wasn't unconscious or seriously injured it appeared, or at least it could have been a lot worse. He knew enough about how injuries tended to work to know that she was insanely lucky, especially since they were in the middle of explosions and how they got attacked by people with superpowers. He was really hoping that no one was dead after this entire thing, since that would suck horribly. Having fought these guys off only to really lose people.

"I've gotten worse injuries then this before... A screwed up knee is nothing to me, don't worry about it, I'm more concerned about you, that doesn't look like a simple injury that you can more or less brush off Bonnie..." he said to her with a smile, as he stood back up somewhat, gritting his teeth in pain as he did so, glancing over towards where the others were going. However another noise distracted him, namely the sound of the quinjet popping up and everyone else. "Bout time the rest of you joined the party!"

Theresa Sparks

Location: Cardiff Castle -> Outside the Prison
Skills: N/A

It was as if the words of everyone else was just being put through a really bad speaker, static filled her ears, and she knew that others were speaking, but it was just noise. Her mind was still just processing everything as she sat there on the ground. After a moment, she heard Maria speaking directly to her, and she just turned and looked over at her, it took a moment for the words to hit her. Everyone was talking about the mission, oh right, they had a job to do. Though Maria's words were what stood out to her, promising that they would find him.

Problem was her mind kept thinking that they might not, since he could be dead for all she knew.

"Okay..." she said softly, accepting Maria's hand and getting up, the tears still falling despite her best efforts to cause them to stop. "I think I'm alright..." Hearing what Strange said, she couldn't help but feel a little better about that. Since at least then she'd know if he was still alive or not. "Thank you... That would be helpful... After this is over I'll take you up on that offer..." with those last words she started heading towards the portal that Doctor Strange had opened up, when she stumbled slightly, coughing like crazy. One thing was apparent from her coughing though, and that it wasn't typical.

This time, she was coughing up blood.

"I-I-I don't think that's supposed to happen," she stammered out, before just continuing to walk through the portal, joining the others by the prison. However, she more of stumbled through the portal, still coughing like crazy.

Cassandra Reed

Location: - Cardiff Castle, Whales
Skills: Combat First-Aide

Cassandra was feeling a lot better now, actually better than she had been before getting M-pox in the first place, she looked over at Sparky. "After we deal with Thanos and his men i'll help you with whatever I can." Cass said, it was the least she could do and maybe her SHIELD credentials could help, maybe find out when Raynor was switched around with the skrull that was on their team. Strange moved the skrull's body onto the quinjet and then shortly afterwards the quinjet itself. Cassandra followed rather quickly into the portal and looked around. Noticing the wrecked truck there and then the others as well turning to look at Flynn and shook her head slightly towards him. "Well we had to deal with three of them, while you had to deal with just two." Cass pointed out, and then noticed Bonnie as well who looked really injured.

"Bonnie!" Cassandra said running over towards her and started to look over her best friend's injuries there were a lot of gashes and noticed Bonnie's nose was broken along with her ankle. "What happened?" Cass asked as she looked over seeing the body of Corvus Glaive there, though Ebony Maw was missing and hearing Thanos' message he was dead to. She also watched the exchange going on between the prison staff and Tinley seeing a large guy being handed over. She turned towards Bonnie again, moving her fingers over Bonnie's nose. "This is going to hurt a bit." Cassandra said before snapping Bonnie's nose back into place. She then heard Sparky coughing violently again and started to see blood on Sparky's visor, she was now dealing with the same symptom she had earlier which wasn't good at all.

Maria Novikova

Location: - Cardiff Castle, Whales

Maria stayed by Theresa's side while looking over at her, she wasn't doing well emotionally right now, or physically either seeing her friend starting to cough seeing bits of blood now as well to. "That isn't good at all." Maria said softly Cass was like that not to long ago either. Strange opened up a portal and the Quinjet fell through and she joined the others as well seeing what happened there, at least things were okay right now. "There should be something in the quinjet maybe." Maria said to strange before making her way into the Quinjet looking at Skrull Raynor's body for a moment.

She searched around before finding several baggies of peanuts and just grabbed one of them, and made her way back towards the others and tossed it over to Strange. "I hope you like nuts, that's about all there is I think." Maria said while going back to Theresa for a moment and then watched over the others seeing a big guy she assumed was Thane being handed over to Tinley. Cass seemed to be doing a lot better now, and she wondered if the same treatment whatever they did for Cass would work for Sparky as well. "Is there anything you can do for her?" Maria asked looking at Strange.

Cardiff, Wales: February 14th, 2021 - 5:40 P.M.

HM Prison Cardiff...

The guards sized Matt up. They couldn't get a good look at his face due to the total body suit he was wearing, but then again, Tinley - Ms. Peterson - was in the same get up. "I didn't know SHIELD 'ired stormtroopers now," one of the guards said with a faint cockney accent. The guards led Thane di Angelo forward and out the exit, since only Matt and Tinley were inside and they doubted the two of them would be able to bring him securely to the transport on their own.

Since the SHIELD agents had been told that Thane would be inhuman, it probably would be a smart idea to place him in another terrigen-proof suit. Maybe he had already undergone terrigenesis in the prison. It wouldn't be a bad idea to ask the guards for his medical records.

Location: Outside HM Prison Cardiff

"I'm fine, Flynn. Just a broken ankle, nose, extensive bruises, and a lot of gashes to my face. I wasn't planning on going into a modeling career in my mid thirties anyways," she told him honestly. She figured that there would be scarring from this - hopefully not too extensive, but worrying about scars wasn't a high priority at the moment. The cavalry had arrived. Sparky was one of the first ones few the portal, stumbling and coughing up blood. Bonnie's internal alarms went haywire. It was either M-Pox or significant internal injuries that caused Sparky to suffer like that.

Before she could go fuss over Sparky, Cass rushed over towards her. "I'm fine, I - argh!" Bonnie yelped as Cass snapped her nose back into place. Realigning her nose hurt more than the injury itself had. She resisted with all of her might the urge to hold it, figuring that would just make matters worse.

Strange accepted the nuts from Maria, his lips quivering a bit with a smirk. "I prefer peaches, but these'll do in a pinch," he said. He tossed his head back and poured the nuts into his mouth, optimizing his eating experience to be as quick as possible. Most of the agents were broken in one way or another. His primary healing abilities were medical, rather than magical. Agent Sparks' symptoms were escalating in severity, similar to what had happened to Agent Reed. "I can send Agent Sparks into the mirror dimension, although whether Agent Chase would also be a match for her... I am uncertain."

The sorcerer supreme concentrated for a moment, before he stopped suddenly, as something occurred to him. "Agent Reed... Cassandra... Your symptoms have ceased." He hadn't seen her cough or double over in pain. Blood was not coming from her mouth. His eyes narrowed as he began a magical inspection of Cass, mystical energies swirling around her. "It's as I expected. You have been cured. And if I am correct, which I always am, you are the key to healing others... including Agent Sparks."

Bonnie overheard Strange and her eyes widened. "We need to get you back to SHIELD's virology team! If you have antibodies for M-Pox, we could develop a treatment off of them, even a vaccine! Of course that'll take over a year for a vaccine to be approved but... As long as people signed a waiver absolving SHIELD of liability, we could begin administering treatments within weeks."

Doctor Strange tapped the amulet around his neck - the Eye of Agamotto, otherwise known as the Time Stone. "Far less than weeks, Agent Chase," he promised.

Matt tilted his head slightly at the joke a little confused. His suit didn't look anything like a stormtrooper. But it did give him the realization that since Thane was inhuman if he hadn't 'reached his full potential' or whatever. Taking him outside where the mist had to be higher in concentration it could cause him to mutate or die. He frowned, then decided, there were two things that could happen if he took off his mask. One he would just die. Or two he had reached his full potential, the second cocoon he had gone through on the moon meant he had likely reached it.

They couldn't afford for Thane to die. The whole trip was to save him so he could kill Thanos right? Matt was expendable in that equation. He removed his helmet. There was no way the suit, or any of the suits they had would fit Thane, but they could at least minimize his exposure. He shoved the helmet onto Thane's head, it was not an easy feat. The guards had to think that was weird. He didn't even know what to say about it.

"We only look like Stormtroopers when we are transporting prisoners like this guy." He said trying to make a joke, he did not want to explain that there was poisonous gas in the air that could kill mutants and inhumans. He hoped the helmet would be enough to protect Thane, if he needed it, from the mist. How do you even ask someone if they've gone through the process? Like Hey sorry to invade your privacy but did you cocoon? Matt definitely wasn't going to ask that question in front of a bunch of normal human guards.

"Are you sure you're okay Bonnie? You don't sound like you're okay, at all," Flynn responded to her, not entirely convinced she was okay. Especially considering every injury she listed off, that sounded like the sort of thing that might potentially kill most normal people. So the definition of "okay" was clearly different between what his definition was (which preferably would have been no injuries) and her definition (the long list of stuff that she mentioned). It was hard to be convinced that she was okay, especially when she flinched or whatever when Cass snapped her nose back into place.

"You and I have very different definitions of okay, going to be blunt there Bonnie," he told her, shaking his head as he looked over at everyone else who was coming through the portal. The fact that Sparky seemed to be coughing up blood was definitely not a good thing, and he looked over at Strange when he mentioned that Cass had somehow cured herself of M-Pox. He knew nothing really about biology or any of that fun stuff, but he did know enough to realize that that was an insanely strange thing, and a good thing too all things considering.

Location: Outside the Prison

Sparky was still coughing like crazy, but she didn't really care at the moment. A million things were going through her head right now, namely the fact that she was stubborn and did not feel like dying right now. First she is going to find out if Raynor was alive or not, and if he is she's going to drag him back to SHIELD. Then she can die without really any sort of regrets, probably not without punching Raynor for somehow getting himself switched with a Skrull. Nope, she was not going to die yet. "I'm fine honestly, don't worry about me... Don't we have something else we have to do first? Like getting Thane out of here or whatever? That seems more pressing then my health issues."

She had no idea what the hell Strange was going on about with how they had helped Cass out earlier, but she was more then a little bit surprised to find out that Cass had somehow cured herself or some strange thing had happened. So maybe there was hope for those who had been effected to just cure themselves or whatever (people like her) but then again, it probably was a very rare instance of that happening. No matter though, that was definitely a good thing. "That's good," she managed to say, before she started coughing up blood again, and despite her best efforts to stay conscious, her health started deteriorating rapidly, and she collapsed to the ground not moving, having fallen unconscious.

Cassandra looked at Bonnie before taking a few steps back, after she fixed up her friend's nose she had her nose broken once when she was younger and having it suddenly get realigned always did hurt like hell as well. "Sorry Bonnie." Cass said as she eyed the others over at the others over at the prison, who were still discussing about handing off Thane to them. She heard Sparky coughing some more. Maria had gone to give Strange some food over inside of the quinjet, she was still feeling a lot better than she had been actually which was a good thing as well.

She turned towards Strange when he spoke to her, her symptoms haven't reoccurred since leaving with Strange and Bonnie to get her treated, she was a little bit speechless that she could be the one to cure all of the mutants in the world of M-Pox. It could even cure her sister who also had fallen ill from it. Cass looked at Bonnie for a moment, there was a small problem though her skin would break any needle that tried to get into her skin.

"I'll do whatever it takes to cure this, though a small problem is that my skin is bullet proof a needle would break just trying to get through it. And i'm sure you'd need a lot of blood samples or something to make a vaccine right?" Cass pointed out, as far as she knew it was one of those powers that were constantly on and couldn't really be turned off. Then Sparky started to cough violently again and collapsed, which wasn't good at all. "I'll go with you guys to the mirror dimension or the virology team to help treat Sparky as well."

Maria Novikova

Maria looked towards Strange for a moment and smirked slightly. "I do like peaches as well." Maria said jokingly as she remained close to Sparky's side just in case she needed something. Maria listened to the others as they spoke, and then Strange saying that Cass had somehow cured herself of M-Pox which was really good news. They could make a cure off of her somehow she had no clue how any of that worked at all either but she hoped that there could be a cure soon.

Though she wasn't sure how they'd get blood samples off of her but she hoped that they'd be able to do something about that. Then Sparky coughed some more again and started to collapse, Maria quickly caught Sparky in her arms and gently knelt down things were getting really bad or her. "I got you Sparky." Maria said softly she hoped that she'd pull through as well, and she'd see Raynor again as well whenever they did end up finding him as well.

Oliver Sullivan

Location: Cardiff Castle -> Outside Prison
Skills: Hacking

Oliver didn't have any food to give Strange, but he did head straight through the portal, not wanting to be cut off at Cardiff Castle alone. Surveying the field outside the prison, Oliver cringed, these Black Order assholes were hardcore, but he was impressed that the team here was able to deal with them, even if Matt looked like absolute hell. It was around this time, that his phone started buzzing. Normally during a mission, he'd never answer it, but he checked the incoming call anyway, and groaned, turning from the group, and stepping a bit away for some privacy, answering the call and putting it to his ear.

"I swear to God if you owned that prison I didn't know, please don't send me to prison Mr. Stark."

"Don't worry, I don't own that prison, actually the prison is ran by the government over there. However, hacking into their database as well as essentially blowing things up over there? Really? What sort of nonsense are you guys getting into and why are you blowing up Cardiff?"

Oli hesitated for a moment, before saying, "We're investigating the Terrigen Mists, and it turns out the Inhumans sent it to Earth, there's this guy named Thane, and he's the son of an evil purple space emperor named Thanos, that's fated to kill him. Apparently he's in Cardiff, and is an Inhuman, and we think Thanos is gonna kill all the young adult men in Cardiff if he can't find him."

Those words instantly caught Tony's attention. "Wait, let me get this straight, the Inhumans decided to poison a good chunk of the Earth's population, and Thanos the Mad Titan is around to kill this one guy because of some dumb fate or whatever it is. Guessing the whole Terrigen Mists was to power up any Inhumans on Earth. Keep forgetting that the Inhumans up on the moon are a bunch of selfish bastards half the time. But, I will say this if Thanos is around he's not one to be messed around with. And please tell me that if you help the Inhumans or whatever get Thanos to go away that they'll get rid of the mists causing the Mutant population to get sick?"

"Yeah, they want the Black Order out of the system, which we're well on our way to doing. We killed a few of their members so far, so I can't imagine this Thanos would be that much worse. If you have information on them though, and it sounds like you do, I'd appreciate if you could send it over to me. The sooner the Black Order is gone, the sooner the mist's are destroyed."

"Okay, glad to hear that the mists will be gone. My own daughter is a mutant and thankfully hasn't caught the disease yet! Can't say that about a few of her friends though, and Banner might be freaking out a bit since his kid has it," he responded, sounding a bit relieved to hear that. However, the next words he said somewhat pissed him off, and it showed in his voice, "Don't you even think that Thanos is a push over! What kind of idiot thinks that? The Black Order are his lackeys, they are weaker then him and know it. Yeah, you killed a few of them, big deal. He's the number one mass murderer in the entire galaxy! He's no pushover and you shouldn't think otherwise!"

Oliver's voice tempered for a moment at Tony's scolding,"Alright Mr.Stark, you've got my attention. I'll make sure we take him seriously. We have Doctor Strange fighting with us, but any additional backup or information you can supply would be appreciated, we just wanna keep Cardiff safe."

"The guy is insanely powerful, one misstep could spell your death. Never actually fought the guy, can't give you more regarding him then that. Wish I had Thor around to maybe answer more questions for you, but he's probably off either drinking beer somewhere or drinking coffee then smashing the cup or something like that."

"Alright well, thanks I guess. We'll have to find a way to get him off planet without direct engagement, since it sounds like we can't brute force this problem. Anything else Mr. Stark?"

"Yeah, that would be the best thing, though having a fair amount of strength mixed in would help too. So good luck to you, and don't die, I actually find making these phone calls somewhat amusing at this rate. But don't make it so that I have to make another one of these calls, oh and if you die I'll speak at your funeral and say how you never learned your lesson and didn't listen."

Oli rolled his eyes for a moment, and said, "I'll do my best Mr. Stark, dying is the last thing on my to-do list, I promise."

While his phone was still open, Oli did a quick check of the prison's medical records, wanting to see if there was any indication Thane had already been exposed. Digging through, he didn't see anything immediately concerning, and shrugged. He'd brief the team on his conversation with Tony once they were in a more private area.

Cardiff, Wales: February 14th, 2021 - 5:50 P.M.

Location: Outside HM Prison Cardiff -> Hangar - the Hub

The guards were too morose to really question why Matt had shoved the helmet on Thane's head as they exited the prison, emerging into what was essentially a battlefield soaked in the blood of their fallen coworkers. Yes, they worked at a prison but even then, they didn't head into work expecting to die. They complained about their job just like anyone else, eventually even becoming numb to the dangers. This was too sobering of an experience.

"Says the man with a shattered knee," Bonnie argued to Flynn. The gashes on her face weren't too deep - the blood had largely stopped flowing. Tempest had come on through the portal Strange created with the others and once Tempest had seen to those with more serious conditions, Bonnie figured she could ask for a quick patch up. Sparky swayed and fell to the ground unconscious, barely caught in time by Maria. They needed to get Sparky stabilized fast.

"We have ways of bypassing the skin - a needle through the eye. It won't be fun, but it'll do the trick and there won't be lasting damage to your optic tissue," she explained to Cass. Oliver was taking a phone call and Bonnie hadn't seen Tinley emerge from the prison yet, but there was no time to waste. She'd let herself be chewed out later for this. She'd rather break the chain of command than let innocent people suffer. "Strange, transport us all back to the Hub in San Fransisco. We have facilities there capable of holding Thane and shielding that should help against the Black Order, when or if they return... The virology team can work on Cass and Sparky. I'll call in a favor, get Sparky a transfusion of blood from the J. Howlett stash."

Strange nodded. "Of course, Agent Chase - happy to oblige," he said. He walked up to Thane and began muttering some ancient words, as magical glowing chains formed around him. "We can take it from here," he promised the guards, as Strange seemingly flicked Thane. Thane's image flickered and he rematerialized in the holding cell on the quinjet.

He then worked expertly with his sling ring - one by one, he got all of the agents onto the quinjet. Once they were all assembled, he created a large portal underneath the quinjet that led to the hangar in the Hub. The quinjet fell on through and suddenly, they were in San Fransisco. It was mid morning, about 9:50 A.M. to be precise. "I'll establish some warding to hide you all from the Black Order, yet if they reappear I will leave to face them in combat," Strange warned.

Bonnie hobbled over to a side compartment in the quinjet, producing a floating stretcher. She shoved it through the air over to Maria. "Put Sparky on this and get her to the labs ASAP. I need to make a call." She then pulled out her phone and went to her favorites in the contact list, dialing up her favorite forensic technician.

"Niah? I need you to get me a vial of J. Howlett. It's for Sparky. Life or death. And then meet us at virology, Cass is the cure."

Tinley Abercrombie and Tempest Renroir

Location: Cardiff Castle -> Hanger: The Hub
Skills:

Tinley smirked at Thane's attempt at flattery. "Flattery won't get you a lighter sentence Mr. di Angelo." Once Matt had gotten the helmet on Thane, the guards spoke up about their unusual attire. She couldn't be honest about the real reason, it would draw too much attention. "We had gotten word that we are not the only ones after Mr. di Angelo here and we were told to expect resistance. And look, sure enough, we were attacked right outside this prison and some of your own men were killed. If it hadn't been for this "Stormtropper" armor you suggest, we would likely not be speaking right now also. Any other comments about my choice of dress or can we move on?"

Once they got outside, Strange had told the guards they handled it. She also came out to see Bonnie taking charge. She was impressed, if also a bit ticked off at the break in command, but she'd let it slide. "You heard Agent Chase, let's get this going." Tempest had come back and listened to everything. Cassandra was apparently the cure to all of it. "As the resident healer for this party, I'd like to come with and help. Provide healing in the event of...complications."

Tempest was now, more or less, ignoring Oliver since he seemed to be ignoring her. She ran to help transport Sparky to the team's virology department. Meanwhile, Tinley was still with Thane. Even in the holding cell. She walked over to him. "In case this was not obvious Mr. di Angelo, we are not here transferring you to another prison. We are SHIELD and we are here to ensure your safety as the Black Order has put a target on your head. Excuse the accommodations, but we are also dealing with our own issues."

Tinley unlocked the holding cell, but Thane would still be bound. She led him out of the Quinjet. "You may have questions and I can provide answers in a safer environment. We need to get our defenses up and our team cured before we discuss anything though. Your bonds stay on for the time being." She didn't know what to do with the guy. She didn't trust anyone else, even the Inhuman royalty.

Niah Bautista

Location: San Francisco (Hub Virology Lab)
Skills:

Niah was tired. She had been helping the Virology lab with testing and notes. She wasn't an expert in virology, but she could run the machines, and they had called for all hands on deck. When her cell rang, she struggled with the suit to answer but there was no way Niah was going to risk taking it off. She was a Mutant and could catch M-Pox if she did. It was Bonnie. That concerned her. She knew Bonnie was on a mission and if she was calling something had gone sideways.

"I'm already in Virology, I've been running some tests for them. I'll get the vial. See you soon." That was their conversation. She bolted from there to Agent Simmons knowing that she would know where to find some of Wolverine's blood. Niah's experience with Wolverine had been entirely during House of M, but she knew exactly why Bonnie would request the blood. The healing factor, it could keep Sparky alive long enough to create an antidote from Cass.

"Agent Simmons I need a vial of J. Howlett. The Secret Warriors are on their way here. Sparky is at death's door, but the good news is it sounds like Cass can help. Bonnie didn't give me details but she is the cure." It was a pretty easy jump from there to assume that Cass had had M-Pox, and beat it. Simmons got a promise for a favor in exchange for the vial.

Matthew Moss

Location: HM Prison Cardiff -> San Francisco
Skills:

Matt was relieved when Strange took Thane, he was just relieved to be getting out of Cardiff. Too close to his ex. Really anything in Europe was too close if he thought about it. Chase and Abercrombie combined efforts to get the team moving. Matt moved into the Quinjet. He raised an eyebrow surprised at how well Cass was looking despite having been super sick. But Chase had said something about her cured now. Interesting.

Sparky, on the other hand, looked like hell. Matt helped get her onto the cart. He looked at Bonnie as she made the phone call. He knew Niah, but only from Christmas. He wondered how she was supposed to help.

Matt looked at Cass, "You really doing okay?" It was one thing to hear it from other people, another to hear it from her. He was concerned and was thankful she did look a whole lot better even if she wasn't totally cured. They all did seem to think so at least.

"I have had way worse injuries then this!" Flynn instantly protested to Bonnie as she pointed out he had a shattered knee. "Besides, this is just something I could walk off, well, I guess I technically wouldn't be walking off, more of hobbling off somewhere else or whatever it is," he added with a bit of a laugh. She started taking charge of sorts once everyone had gathered there and after Sparky had collapsed. This was a really bad situation that they had to deal with right now, and he was more then willing to follow the lead of others right now since there were a lot of people who were injured.

He waited after they got on the quinjet for them to get to San Francisco via Strange's sling ring when he heard (and others would as well) someone or something yawning from up by the cockpit of the jet. Glancing over, he saw a familiar red cat stretching his legs as he opened his eyes, and Goose the Cat came wandering over, instantly going over to Bonnie and purring. "Of course the cat decided as we were fighting for our lives to take a nap, we could have actually used the cat's help," he muttered, once they reached their destination, he hobbled off the jet. Goose was staying close to Bonnie, purring, clearly thinking that now was a great time to get petted.

Despite Sparky feeling horrible, and the whole instance revolving around her completely collapsing from the disease wasn't helping. She was just insanely tired, and you'd think that if she collapsed, she wouldn't exactly have any dreams or anything. However that was far from the case, as a strange dream poked its way into her mind as she saw three women standing there. Digging a bit into her memory despite how horrid she felt, she came to realize that those three were the Norns, who were from Norse Mythology and would say the destiny's of others, similar almost to the Fates from Greek Mythology. Sparky had no idea why she was seeing these three here and now, but it was their words that stuck out to her.

Child of wilted sunflowers yet to bloom,
Asleep in the broad gleam,
A reckoning comes of doom,
The fatal dust in the bloodstream.

What could their words possibly mean? And if these actually were the fabled Norns from the myths and not some strange contraption that her mind had created, why would they talk to her now? Though when she thought about it, it might have something to do with Raynor... A chance that he was still alive maybe? That was the scenario that she was hoping for anyway, him being alive. Thinking about it, the odds of them just popping up because they felt like it (if they weren't a dream or hallucination or whatever) would be because of Raynor. She hoped that she would survive this illness, since she was determined more then ever to beat this and find him.

Cassandra Reed

Location: - San Francisco California, The HUB Hangar -> Virology Lab
Skills: N/A

Cassandra looked at Bonnie for a moment suggesting taking the blood sample from her eye and cringed slightly, it reminded her of a scene in a video game that she played a couple of years ago when she was in college called Dead Space Two. "Yeah, going through there is going to be really pleasant." Cass said, but if it was the only way then they would have to do it that way then, she looked at Maria who was holding Sparky in her arms. Hopefully they would be able to cure her and fast, Oliver seemed to be taking a phone call which was really weird in the middle of a mission. At least it wasn't in the middle of a battle which was good, when Strange suddenly transported them onto the quinjet itself.

Cassandra looked towards Matt and gave him a nod, she wasn't feeling like she was in pain or any kind of discomfort or even coughing up blood either in the last couple of minutes. "Yeah actually i'm feeling better than I have been the last couple of days." Cass said, the procedure Strange did on her in the mirror dimension probably helped speed the recovery process or something as well. Cassandra quickly got off of the quinjet looking over to see Goose coming out of course who was sleeping the entire time.

"Cats are kind of lazy animals they prioritize sleep over everything else." She said shaking her head slightly, making her way towards the virology lab. It didn't take her to long to get there as she entered the lab looking over at those in the lab and seeing Dr. Jiang there, she didn't really trust him for some reason, but he was the one to give her powers after all seeing Niah there though she smiled towards their former teammate. "The cure is here, where do you guys need me to do?"

Maria Novikova

Location: - San Francisco California, The HUB Hangar -> Virology Lab
Skills: N/A

Maria looked down at Sparky in her arms, when Strange suddenly transported all of them onto the quinjet, and then a few seconds later they were all now in the HUB again. Maria watched Bonnie tossing her one of the floating stretchers and nodded setting Sparky down on it, they needed to get going right away. "Alright lets get going." Maria said as she heard the familiar sound of Goose and smiled a little bit reaching down to pet the cat on the head. Of course he wanted Bonnie's attention but Goose was cute as well even if the cat wasn't a normal one.

Maria followed behind Cass while pushing the stretcher down towards the virology lab, knowing that Wolverine's blood could give Sparky a pretty good boost. She looked around the lab seeing Niah and smiled towards her friend, even though she saw her daily anyway she just didn't go on the missions anymore. "Heya Niah." Maria said as she gently pushed the stretcher to the side of the room.

The Hub - San Fransisco: February 14th, 2021 - 10:00 A.M.

Virology Lab...

It was all hands on deck in the labs. In the conference room, top researchers from around the world were in a holographic version of a Zoom meeting, discussing what they could do about M-Pox. Reed Richards and Bruce Banner, among others, were partaking in the conversation. Dr. Jiāng, the scientific mind behind the Secret Warriors and the Phase Three Experiments, was in the room along with Chloe Ridgeway, Cass' cousin.

"...Richards, you can't seriously be suggesting the Godpower theory..."

"I'm sorry, the what?" Chloe asked.

Out in the lab proper, technicians were running experiments at just about every work bench. Yet even those in the virology lab did not represent the full workforce. The desks outside were filled, with people pouring through countless articles, running every simulation and calculation that they could think of, all in an attempt to find a way to mitigate this virus. S.H.I.E.L.D. luckily had enough protective suits for the mutants they employed, but they didn't have nearly enough for even a small fraction of the mutants in the world.

Simmons had given the vial of Wolverine's blood to Niah, her eyes widening at the news that Cass was the cure somehow. She was instantly skeptical of the claim. "Agent Reed, you're the cure - what exactly? Never mind, we need to get Agent Sparks stable," she shook her head, going and putting an oxygen mask on Sparky. "Dr. Bautista, if you wouldn't mind?" she asked, getting the stuff for a blood transfusion set up. Her eyes flickered over to Tempest. "Agent Renroir - if you could try to stabilize our patient."

Maria's phone would begin to obnoxiously ring and buzz repeatedly as a series of texts all came in at once -

Space??? Are you okay???
Cardiff too???
Maria?????
MARIA YOU MOTHERFUCKING BETTER ANSWER ME GODDAMN IT!
I've never related more to Frozone's wife in the Incredibles
DON'T MAKE ME PRETEND IT'S AN AVENGERS LEVEL THREAT AND COME OVER THERE

Bonnie rolled her eyes at Flynn's attempts at comedy. "If you walked that off, you'd just make it worse, idiot." She liked him and she appreciated that he had to preserve his macho identity, but walking on a shattered knee wasn't going to do him any favors. He was an idiot - a cute idiot. Goose walked up to her and began purring, having apparently been taking a catnap the entire time. She was glad the fur ball was okay. Flynn had hobbled off of the quinjet and Bonnie began to follow suit, using the rail to support herself as she awkwardly hopped on off.

Her ankle was throbbing and definitely swelling. It was bad enough that it was broken, but the sling ring transports by Strange had aggravated her injuries. Each time they made a jump, it was like slamming their bodies into the ground - not the medical recommended standards for broken bone care! Tinley's broken leg was not a fan of her continuing to use it. She would be rocked with crippling, debilitating pain as her leg refused to bear weight anymore. Tinley would collapse from the abuse of her leg as she went into the hangar. Flynn's shattered knee would similarly be giving him a lot of pain, probably enough to make him scream.

"Mind your injuries," Strange reminded them, before he began to float and meditate. His image seemed to blur as he chanted something in an ancient tongue, preparing wards and defenses against the Black Order. He couldn't hear or see anything near him in that sort of state, so shouting at him or asking him questions would be useless.

Thane was bound in the magical chains and standard issue prison cuffs, Matt's helmet awkwardly obscuring his face. "Help, help, this bitch fell," Thane said at a perfectly normal volume with a malicious smirk, looking around. He had been in prison long enough to know that looking out for the guards wasn't a particularly great idea. "So if you're still alive and not dead, miss... What the fuck is the Black Order?"

"Tin-erm, Agent Abercrombie!" Bonnie explained. She tried to shuffle hop her way on over to Tinley, also wary of Thane. Even with the magical chains on him and the handcuffs, he still looked like he could snap her like a toothpick with ease. Luckily for them, however, the hangar was soon flooded with other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, led by Director Maria Hill.

"Agent Abercrombie - we need to talk," Hill said sternly. The agents were able to pretty much plainly see that Thane was a prisoner and they surrounded him, all of them aiming guns at the giant as they shuffled him off, about to place him in an interrogation holding cell. Some of the agents walked on over to Flynn, Tinley, and Bonnie, a floating stretcher trailing along with them for Tinley.

Bonnie knew she wasn't going to make it to virology very fast with her ankle. "Goose? I need to get to the virology lab, fast," she told the cat softly, hoping he'd understand.

Niah Bautista

Location: San Francisco (Hub Virology Lab)
Skills: Jack-of-all-trades (Science)

"Hey Cass, Maria. What the heck happened?" She looked at her friends worry etched in her features. They were all so hurt. But then her hands were moving to help Sparky. Her attention placed into caring for someone that meant so much to her. Sparky was her friend. Yeah, Niah might not have been the one to burn the world to save her, but she was there beside Novi with those decisions because she cared for her.

Niah took the vial of blood that she had just gotten from Agent Simmons. She was definitely not qualified to be giving blood to anyone. But Simmons had put her faith in her. Niah knew the basics of what she needed to do. Tye it off. Find a vein. Put the needle in the vein. Boom save Sparky.

Her hand shook a little as she followed the steps. She could tell she missed the vein and winced, then tried again. She hissed slightly as she missed again. This was not easy. Niah took a deep breath and tried again. If she didn't get it this time she would have Simmons do it. She was used to corpses not her living breathing friends. Thankfully, this time she was able to get it though. And soon Wolverine's blood was flowing into Sparky.

Niah sighed and watched as Sparky started to stir. Thank goodness. She hadn't failed her.

While Matt had been reassured that Cass was okay, he knew that she was going to go through some very unpleasant medical things. He waited a moment to make sure all of his team and Thane were taken care of. He didn't like Agent Hill's tone and had a sinking feeling. He wanted to explain to her what was going on, but that was Abercrombie's job.

Matt was torn. There were several things he wanted to do and help with. What he wanted to do most though was follow Cass, so he did. Matt wasn't certain what made him want to follow her except he considered Cass the closest thing to a friend he had made on the team. He respected the hell out of her, and maybe at the lab he could grab an ace bandage or something for his wrist.

Entering the room he was a little stunned at how busy the place was. It made sense considering the crisis currently, but it was chaotic. He wondered what the Holographic meeting was about but he spotted Cass and went to her side.
