@Avanhelsing
...Welp, I was going to be making her a devout Jewish infantrywoman in Israel prior to her Visitation, where Hodr is sort of representative of the entire crisis of faith. This makes it both a better and worse option, because I'm just now looking at who the Aesir sided with in WWII. It's a great perspective to write from, but at the same time, y'know, holocaust.

@Raijinslayer I appreciate the input, btw. I do think that the assorted Aesir already here and your fantastic bitch queen are going to make this a fun one.

Well the book does say that the holocaust was not their fault. They had no control over Hitler and his monsters and feel awful for what they did. It still could work. I tend to ignore the mess that is WW2 Scion since it introduces Folk Americana heroes as Gods. You can be the Son of Johnny Appleseed or Uncle Sam. No I am not joking.

Urge to be 'murican rising...

But realtalk, that works fine then. I'm rolling with guilt and doubt as themes anyway, so as long as it's not like "well, the Aesir literally commanded/encouraged Hitler to kill everyone who wasn't Aryan" I can work with it.

Question: Did anyone else stat iut the character stuff on the system first, than translate it to the sheet, or is that just me? Also

@TominasMaricella is may or may not start shit with your chick. Depends on factors. She's definitely going to start it with Ben because their can only be one top dog around here, and it's going to be her.

@Doktor Faust I doubt it; Sleipnir already appeared on screen. So did Fenrir and Hela and obviously Cate Blanchett isn't Tom Hiddleston's daughter so they definitely took some liberties.

re: Loki and Baldur and their roles in Ragnarok since Rai always makes me do this.

From what I remember, Loki is not bound to the stone with the serpent dripping venom into his face until after Baldur's death, and Scion's base setting frames Ragnarok as if it is on the horizon, but has not yet been set into motion, hence why the Aesir are having so many scions in a vain attempt to stall the onset of their destruction. I could be wrong but I don't think the Earth in Scion is currently ravaged by the Fimbulwinter so I think we've got time for Baldur to pop a couple dozen one out. It's Loki's kids that end up getting hunted for sport, you pricks.

Don't tell Luka he's adopted.

You know, just to make things easy, I'm changing her birthright from the dart that slew Baldur since like... he's not dead, I suppose.

Also @Avanhelsing you mentioned plot discussion? I'd be interested to know ideas, general plans, maybe previously knowing other chars, etc.

EDIT: @Sloth My understanding of the classical myth is that Baldur's death is one of the first omens of Ragnarok coming, not the legitimate first step. With that, I was under the general interpretation that Baldur was already dead in Norse myth, and Loki was already bound. This may be different in Scion's setting or I could legit just be wrong, but I've been writing this based on what I know/what I've read in the last 24 hours, and will change as necessary for the setting we're all in. I'll just post my CS soon for Avanhelsing and fix what needs to be fixed.

@Tominas Don't take my word for gospel. It's been years since I've taken a gander at the Scion Ragnarok book. Plus every GM's setting is different from the last's.

Yeah the whole Ragnarök thing is not that good explained in the books either but what you heard is also how I will aproach it. Ragnarök including the stuff with baldr is bound to happen. Loki is bound to be chained to a rock etc. I know it does not make that much sense but that is how we will handle it.
Also the story will start with all of you beeing brought together by your pantheons.
I also somehow was expecting at least one greek because they are so popular but I am actually suprised with the characters you guys made!

I did not. I've played other WW games, but not Scion. I did take a squint at the book after outlining my original character idea. It jolted me into putting aside that idea and going into a different direction, though.

My initial idea was a happy-go-lucky son of Hades, but after reading the section about The Loa in the rulebook, a more compelling idea popped into my head, and I ran with it. :)

@Clever Hans In my personal opinion the Loa are among the most interesting. I played a Scion of Kalfu when we used to play the pen and paper :)

We need more peoples from other pantheons. I almost did a hot son of Apollo but I could not figure out how to make him work.

I wanted to run a disowned daughter of Loki that was adopted by Artemis, but ended up going with a character I found more my play style.

Real talk, Ben might be a bit intimidated by Silas but respect the guy for everything. Ben may or may not have committed a few crimes under orders from a certain god.

@Avanhelsing Please don't. And Silas I don't think would be too harsh on Ben for anything he's done in the past... but might be a little harsher on moral dilemmas that arise in the RP.
