You guys wanna make this another stat based RP? Like once we get about three posts in and bring in our secondaries, choose one to level up more in-game? We could save the stat based fighting for when we're taking on 'mini-bosses' or 'bosses', and flex our writing skills with everything else from natural/cosmic disasters, fighting small time crime, minions of the bosses, etc.

I need to go back and figure out who joined last time female-wise cause so far this looks like a boys club. Anybody but that flaming feline LOL

I thought I would show interest.

I am not a huge subscriber to DCU, I never have been. I maybe could pull off a copycat Batman. I think I could come up with insanity scenes and cat-and-mouse mimicry. I'm talking about the Joker, lol. But, then, he's not in the Legion as far as I know. He'd be easiest for me, to say.

But, I wanted to show interest like I said. And, also, not being a fan of DC means I'm a fan of Marvel. So, I could look up characters and their bios and whatnot, and probably execute a nice character from the elements of Marvel, which are in DC.

Name - Jo Nah
Alias - Ultra Boy
Age - 19
Home World - Rimbor
Powers/Primary Skills - At any time Jo Nah can possess one of four different superpowers, Ultra Strength up to 100 tons and super durability, Ultra Speed that although lags well behind The Flash’s records but are still impressive in their own right, Ultra Flight without needing the Legion ring, Ultra Invulnerability that allows him to survive extremely powerful blasts, or Ultra Vision that can see through even lead, over extremely long distances, and heat vision that can melt steel.
Weaknesses - While powerful in plenty of ways, Jo Nah can only really use one superpower at a time, and it requires a small moment of focus to be able to get his body to change things around.
Appearance -
Brief Bio - RImbor used to be a planet of great wealth and resources, however after years of mining and other means of production that ranged from destructive to almost inhumane. The planet was soon drained of everything, those wealthy enough to do so left the planet while the less fortunate were left stranded to fend for themselves.

The limited resources still available, as well as plenty of those left behind being undesirable in nature. Soon left the planet a hostile war zone of tribes and gangs. Fighting over whatever could help them live to see another day.

Jo Nah had only ever known of the battle, his parents were the leaders of a gang known as the Emerald Dragons. A more noble gang that used a fleet of off road vehicles and weapons to protect innocent people and tribes from the other more violent gangs on the planet. In exchange for resources and shelter if available. Jo never really got to know his parents, they were killed in an ambush when he was little. So the only family he knew were his co-horts in the gang.

During one chance battle with another gang that were harassing a small group of nomads. In the middle of the skirmish Jo took a stray round right into the chest. Falling out of the buggy he was positioned in the rear. The rest of the Emerald Dragon in the battle left him bleeding and for dead.

The nomads he was protecting however came to Jo’s aid. Bandaging him up and after deciding among themselves gave him a drink from their sole bottle of water. Proclaiming it the drink from the holy water. The truth was, the water was irradiated and when it mixed with Jo Nah’s system caused abnormal changes in his body. Soon revived and healed, Jo Nah discovered his newfound powers when he took down a single vicious gang all by himself. The near death experience gave him an epiphany however, and Jo decided he needed off of Rimbor once and for all.

The plan was simple, as even on such a desolate planet there was one freighter shipment that would come in each year. Jo Nah was able to get to the freighter ship as it unloaded, and “convinced” the pilot to let him aboard.

Notes - Considering the lack of available resources on his planet when it came to weapons and off road vehicles, Jo Nah is surprisingly resourceful and capable of maintaining even more advanced vehicles.

Marvel has a knockoff Legion team you may have heard of... The Imperial Guard. Smasher for Ultra Boy, Titan for Colossal Boy, etc...

Resemblances to DC Comics' Legion of Super-Heroes
The Imperial Guard has many intentional resemblances to DC Comics' Legion of Super-Heroes. The original members seen in Uncanny X-Men #107 were designed by artist Dave Cockrum, previously best known for his work on the LSH, and all had direct counterparts among the Legionnaires, with similar super-powers and costumes:

In X-Men #137, the Imperial Guard begins to move away from being strictly a Legion pastiche, introducing characters with no Legionnaire counterparts. More Guardsmen corresponding to the LSH were not introduced until the Avengers crossover "Operation: Galactic Storm" in the 1990s.

The real name of Kree Guardsman Commando that first appeared in Imperial Guard #1 (1997) is M-Nell; a nod to LSH member Mon-El.

The main thing with the Legion is they've always been inspired by Superman and they enforce a no killing rule. And each member has to have at least one power. You mentioned Chameleon Boy earlier, he'd be dope. Saturn Girl has telepathy like Jean Grey, just not the tk abilities or a flaming cosmic space bird possessing her body. You could reimagine her somewhat though and give Saturn Girl the tk abilities if you wanted.

I've tried the whole imagining thing. The GM did not agree with me. This seems to be cooler. We will see. And, I read one of them. Chameleon Boy. It was a spark off the bat, but I've never been a shape-shifter. I'm going to end up being somebody who likes guns. That's a likely facet that will be part of my selection.

...nobody uses guns or any kind of weapons in the Legion. Everybody has to be an alien of some sort with an internal power. Originals are only allowed as secondaries, your primary hero has to be an existing character but you can make tweaks to make them your own [like giving Saturn Girl telekinesis on top of telepathy].

@Omega Man@role model I don’t know if this is allowed but Guy Gardner has some alter ego a while back called warrior or something that allowed him to change his arms into weapons or something because of alien DNA right? Maybe a futuristic alien version of Warrior could be your character?
