@ZAVAZggg The cashier got visibly nervous. Normally his manager helped him deal with aggressive customers, but today was his first day running the store on his own.

“Uh...religious activity? There’s churches like, all over the city. And a mosque. And maybe some places Jewish people worship at? I uh...” The guy hesitated, wondering if he should say what he was going to “Also went to a Church of Satan over on 130th ave. It’s that unmarked warehouse.”

Zyx nodded thoughtfully as he committed each location to memory. Reaching into his robes, he pulled out a large wad of cash, which he proceeded to pass to the cashier. Upon examination he would find it to be around 50,000 USD in total.

"For the trouble."

With that Zyx was already on his way back out the door. He only paused once along the way to glance back at the cashier from over his shoulder.

"I have played Gears of War by the way. Good game, terrible universe. Trust me, I'd know. Oh and one more thing..."

Zyx turned to face the sunlit world beyond.

"GME, January 28th, 2021. I recommend you invest."

And just like that, Zyx was gone.

@ZAVAZggg The cashier stood astonished for a moment. The investment advice went over his head, but with 50k he could go to school and not have to work retail anymore. He thought a GameStop job would be fun, but even video game customers were dicks.

“Thank you, sir.” He said, still stunned.

The thought didn’t cross his mind at the time, but he would go on to blow at least a third on marijuana and a little bit of coke throughout the months that followed.

Stepping outside, Zyx decided to head out to that Satanic church the kid mentioned. Satanists usually weren't bad people as a whole, least not as far as he was concerned, so he didn't anticipate any manner of direct connection to the cult. Still, being the generally occult minded folk they were, they might have had access to some information that most didn't.

Such as a new group moving onto the block, for example.

It was a charming wooden bulding on the outside, it's planks painted white. At the beginning of the sidewalk leading up to it was a sign with a picture of a horned man and the words "Church of Satan."

Striding towards its entrance, he rapped his knuckles briskly against the door. Glancing down briefly, he fiddled with the silver band wrapped around the middle finger of his left hand, a means of keeping himself occupied while the seconds passed. Sure he could have just sped up time, could've simply gone to a point in the timeline when the cult got sloppy too, but that was the routine, and he wished to be free of it if only for a moment.

"I'm not here for observances in any case," Zyx said, tucking his gloved hands into either pants pocket. "I'm here to ask some questions."

He leaned back somewhat.

"Have you noticed any other religious or occult groups on the scene recently? Ones with particularly obscure figures of worship to boot?"

Zyx chuckled.

"Christ isn't an obscure figure friend."

He cocked his head to the side ever so slightly, eyes narrowing into thin slits as he did so.

"Besides, Christians haven't exactly been into the kind of... practices the group I'm looking for in particular have. No, these people indulge in rituals of the more... esoteric kind. I figured if anyone would be in the know, without letting any manner of dogma stand in the way, it'd be you."

Ky was trying to improve on his electricity in his backyard as usual when a big hole opened up. Curious, he put his hand out to touch it only for his hand to go through it. He immediately his hand back. He mentally questioned Lilly, but she just shrugged her wings. The big hole suddenly starting pulling Lilly off his shoulder which prompted Ky to go in after her. They both plummeted to the ground near a Wendy's on the sidewalk. When they regained consciousness, Lilly was the first one to notice they were no longer in Ky's backyard, but in a city or town. Ky, get up. Ky stood up and brushed himself off before looking at his surroundings.

Ace saw some strange blue circle and like the idiot he was, he went straight for it, but a hand pulled him back, it was Larry's. "Why am I always paying for your screwups?" Larry said. But the strange blue circle was actually a portal and was pulling the both of them to a new place. Larry immediately switched to his cat form for safe landing while Ace switched to dog form. Larry landed safely on his feet in front of a doughnut shop. Ace was sprawled on the ground when he landed in the same spot next to Larry.

When Ace got up and saw a doughnut shop behind him, he was ecstatic. He ran right towards it saying, "Doughnuts! Here I come!" in a really loud, but exited tone.

@ZAVAZggg The Satanists expression dimmed. He had no idea what Zyx was on about and figured Zyx was a crazy person. Possibly a homeless druggie, though he didn't look very homeless.

"Uh...esoteric? Well I don't know anyone practicing any dark rituals or human sacrifices, friend. Maybe you can go bug some Wiccans or something. Sorry thats all I have, and I have far too much on my to do list; again, far more than you might imagine. Good day." He said, moving to shut the door.

"Ah jeez, I hope I have a house somewhere, like the other dimensions." Zyx might overhear "There was never any Satanic church around here as far as I remember." Morty said to Jesse.

"So what you're telling me is that those portals lead to places that mirror our own? Thats baffling." Jesse then looked at the Satanic church, not recognizing the word "Satanic" or really even the horned man, but could tell right away it was a place of worship.

"Did you even live in Moonlight Falls?" Jesse asked

"I dunno, I mean, maybe. My town changes each dimension. Sometimes its a totally different state, sometimes another country, sometimes everyone is a living cannibal sofa." Morty remembered the couches, who ordered humans; Black people, with Hispanic on half.

"Hmm...well maybe that guy has some answers." Jesse said, pointing at Zyx and walking up.

"No. W-wait. Rick says religion is stupid and all gods are a lie." He said to Jesse who didn't really listen.

@Dark Cloud The old man’s ranting annoyed the Terminator, but it didn’t show on his face. He didn’t speak until Rick got to the part where Morty didn’t want to get that alien off...thinking he was torturing him.

“Jerking them off?” The Terminator asked. He was unfamiliar with the term.

Rick laughed "Sh-sshit d-*belches*dog you uh haven't had the 'Talk' huh?" he stopped messing around with the poorly made automaton to turn and look at the Terminator. "Alright I guess I'll be y-your wingman, yeah w-w*belches*wingman bitch! Let's go find you a hooker! Wubbalubbadubdub!" Rick told the Terminator.

@Dark Cloud “Is that the human mating signal? Wubbalubbadubbdubb?” The Terminator said all this with that same stoic German accent he was known for, including wubbalubbadubbdubb.

“I have an intimate understanding of human anatomy.” It was true, though mainly to help the machines understand their enemy better “Let’s get a...hooker, wing man.” The Terminator didn’t really know exactly what Rick was talking about, or what he was in for.

Zyx did in fact overhear. In actuality he'd been processing the two conversations at once, but mainly focused on the Satanist, because a dimension hopper wasn't exactly a strange nor rare occurrence for him. It was only when the hopper and the person he was travelling with mentioned him, as he was the only one around following the Satanist's departure, that he turned to face Morty and Jesse.

"Morty," he said as he approached, his gaze flicking over Jesse briefly. "I don't suppose you've heard of any cult-like activity going on around here?"

Before the boy could respond, Zyx raised a hand, a signal for him to pay heed to what he was about to say, if only for a moment.

"Before you ask, yes I've met other versions of you and your grandfather in the past. He does tend to get around a lot, in his own multiverse anyway, so spare me any confusion and answer the question please."

Morty paused, scared of Jesse who, bear in mind, still looked like a crazy homeless guy.

“Uh, yeah. It’s...ya know...it’s fun though I mean...it can be.” Morty told Jesse with a nervous chuckle “Anyway, my and grandpa did go on this adventure to planet Shwifty and there was a cult there. The...gazorpazorp cult, hehe which is also a tv show, and a planet. Oh man, again, dimension travel it really is something ya know?” He told Zyx

Ace went into the doughnut shop as he was. He went up to the female clerk and ordered a bagful of doughnuts while in dog form. "This dog talks?" Said the clerk and gave him his bag of doughnuts. He shocked her even more by shifting to his human form to pay for the doughnuts.

Larry just sat a table, letting Ace be... well, Ace. He didn't even bother getting a doughnut for himself. He just sat there.

Seeing the Wendy's behind him, Ky was hungry, but the last time he went into a restaurant wasn't very fun. However, that was a long time ago. Ky decided to take his chances and go in. He mentally told Lilly he would order some fruit for her if they had any. Lilly nodded in thanks to Ky.

"Look, I'd love to explain what Ultima are and the true nature of the cosmos, but I'm afraid I don't have the inclination or the patience, so if you don't mind..."

He shifted his attention back to Morty.

"I'm aware of them, but sadly they aren't the kind of cult I'm searching for. The group I'm looking for follows a figure who goes by the name of Caliborn. Does that name mean anything to you? Have you heard it before, perhaps?"

Sure, he was a deadly apocalypse warrior who completed a classic quest for revenge, but being irritated to the point he now was wasn’t common for him. The whole situation had him on edge and in constant fights since it began, and the best he had for answers was the fact that different dimensions existed, it was possible to move between them, and a detailed description of quiche.

“No goddamnit!” Jesse yelled “I don’t honestly give two fucks if you want to answer or not!” He pulled a glock he stashed from the night before and aimed it on Zyx’ head.

“First off, I will ask again, what the fuck is happening? This isn’t the afterlife. Have I simply moved back in time or gone to some...other world that mirrors my own?”

Morty, of course, was in a panic. Even after all the shit he regularly went through with Rick, his reaction to situations like this were the same.

“Oh jeez, Jesse. You can’t just shoot him.” He pleaded.

“I can with a motion of my finger. Whether or not I will is on him.” Jesse said coldly.

"Like I said, I lack the patience for this, so Morty if you wouldn't mind? Have you heard the name Caliborn? Or heard anyone here mention such?"

@ZAVAZggg So, this guy thought Jesse wasn’t serious. Without a second thought, Jesse shot Zyx in the leg. If this was someone like Teo, he would just shoot until he got his questions answers.

“Oh man.” Morty said, freaking out even more now that guns were being shot.
