Depending on how complex slimes can be, my dude and his brood could possible "eat" a tunnel. I actually have a slime character in a different RP for who tunneling his his biggest shtick: Since he can pretty much consume any sort of matter without issue or limitation (aka eat anything), he often uses it to dig underground and through walls.

Tbh not entirely certain how smart the slimes are. my own character being a unique exception by virtue of the experimentation done upon him, but no guarantee that any other slime he assimilates shares his degree of sentience. In short, don't worry about giving my slimes benefits. Show me what you can offer.

Also I don't breed sexually like the rest of you meat creatures. I use mitosis. So unless you're willing to offer your bodies as food for the purpose of adding to our own biomass, I don't imagine many are interested in that kind of relationships with me and my Slime Brood.
