So here's the start of an idea. Would love to hear thoughts on this.

Hell. A small town wakes up feeling amazing and finds itself in a giant sphere of white. Curious, some people try going outside and never come back. Little by little they'll learn there's hell and devils outside. So of course they decide to stay inside for as long as they can. This isn't long because as the years go by the dome becomes more see-through and demons start entering.

So the story will be similar to Dante's inferno in that they're traveling through hell and trying to find their way out or into heaven.

There are three separate power systems I've been thinking of for this one.

Edens-the dome the cast wakes up in. These domes increase a person's stats and rapidly heal disease, sickness, and stamina. They keep out demonic entities. The problem is they don't last long in hell, and as time goes on they lose power, become dimmer which decreases their effect and allows for larger and larger demons to enter.

Grace-Infusions of personal energy. These abilities would be color-based, similar to haki from One Piece. The characters will be able to infuse their Grace around themselves or into objects. The effect will be different based on the color. For example blue would be cold and red would create extreme heat. The colors will be combined for new effects.

Need to figure out what the core color abilities will be (Yellow, Red, Blue, Black and white) and the results that come from mixing the different Graces

The final system is a cross between devil fruits and zanpakuto, spirit seeds. Where a person is able to devour a gem that will bond a spiritual parasite to their soul. The entity will start off granting a simple ability like devil fruits but as the user grows they'll unlock forms and abilities like zanpakutos.
There'll be four kinds of spiritual seeds:
Demon-transforms the user's body
Angel-Grants the user a guardian that they can summon
REaper-The spiritual entity takes the form of a weapon or item
King-Creates a special field or area of effect

Also, I'm thinking certain spirit forms will be incompatible with certain colors like demons won't be able to use the white color of light and holiness.

Please set this in the actual Hell, Michigan. Everything you've just described is practically just life in Michigan as a methhead.

Can my spiritual parasite be my insurance premiums?

I think Student Loans are the stronger demons. Those you can't default on; Once you get 'em, you're stuck with them forever, much like curses of legend.

Actually, let me fix that. Ancient Egyptian hexes wish they had shit on student loans. The IRS is gangster as shit, King Tut's curse ain't got nothing on them.

Going out to get ice cream at the gift shop and playing put-put gulf as the demons from Ann Arbor and Pinckney keep coming in going, "oh wow lol we're in hell lol"

But then they leave because you're only a bar, gift shop-ice cream parlor, and a bar.

The bikers are your angels.

Bikers versus Demons? Damn, that's a Battle of the Century, right there. Hey, maybe throw in a plot about another band of those MAGA chuds who made an on-the-fly plot to kidnap the governor again and stopped in Hell to get ice cream to spice up the story, too.

Hell's Angels. There's a title drop for you.

The bikers and the MAGA guys will have some overlap though so they're not all entirely a shade of white in comparison to the demons. They'd be a very grey and morally complicated protagonist faction. After all, most of them are at this point and in this state boomer retirees and dentists who want the vibe of being a free rebel without actually, y'know: fighting the state.

The year is 1973. After coming back off your third draft tour of Vietnam, Hell and high water seem like nothing compared to what you've seen before. Disillusioned and restless, you join the Hell's Angels biker gang, and you love every last road trip, raunch, and rave across the American countryside. While on the way back from a friend's house party in Detroit, you stop in Hell, MI - A decaying relic of American manufacturing, and a constant reminder of the American facade. Dark, decrepit automotive plants hide the demons of the past in them, lurking in every shadow.

As you stop for the night, you awaken the next morning to a city surrounded by an otherworldy fog. Demons chase you from the shadow in terrifying numbers. But after what you've been through? They're nothing. Holy water and crosses? Please. Metal, lead, and gasoline are all you need.

Take the demons along the Highway To Hell, in...

Hell's Angels.
