I mean it's a game, this isn't grim dark so yeah makes sense no child murder. Personally I don't really care. It's whatever my characters morals are.

Don't worry too much about it, it's a boundry nobody really brought up until it was happening, it's on all of us. We should just really quickly go over any other boundries we all have that we don't want crossed. And also remember to speak up if something comes up later that maybe we forgot to mention or didn't think would bother us until it came up.

My list of no goes are pretty basic stuff:
-No Sexual Assult
-No Body horror/gore, or at least no detailed depictions of it (after all we are fighting Hags, it's bound to come up)
-No child murder, at least on the players parts, as we just establised
-Murderhoboing in general is also not on my list of things I enjoy.

After going through several drafts of a simple fast forward, I was unable to do so in a way that would both make sense and not cause further discomfort. That, plus the facts that I never plan on using Max again and that I never even intended for Gorgash to be a part of this encounter, has brought me to the decision to do what I have done instead.

I'm willing to admit that this solution isn't much better, but I've been holding things up for over nine days at this point.

Either way, Initiative order is no longer in effect.

I will admit, Flicker is going to be a bit suspicious about this whole situation because they don't drink.

It just occurred to me that even though the transition definitely wasn't normal we can still say we knows bits and pieces say maybe that Max, and Gorgash fled after a brief scuffle between Gorgash and Hammerhand, Max flees when the androgynous person appeared, and the innkeeper is still pissed though they all paid generously more drinks than a peasant could afford so they didn't say anything.

There could be some damaged tables here and there, chairs this way and that. Just a little idea mind.

Given how child enemies are off the menu now, Max is never coming back so he may as well be retconned out of existence.

And as for Gorgash, he was never even meant to be in this encounter. Hell, his name was never even meant to be Gorgash. He was an unfinished NPC that I hastily finished to fill the role that the new arrivals to the party would have filled back when I though there weren't going to be any new arrivals after all, only to be proven wrong once I had already set things in motion.

Honestly, this whole encounter is a mistake I would rather just erase all together.

@rush99999 I'd rather keep the orc enemy as it's me grasping for straws to make the deus ex make any semblance of sense for me to be able to write.

@Dark Cloud I would think of it like this instead.

Completely whip the encounter out of your mind right, instead the party arrived, the tavern was hosting a drinking contest, our group and your character joined in, we all got shit faced drunk (maybe there was a small bar fight to explain why the non-drinkers of our party were also passed out) and now we are all waking up.

I think the DM would rather just move on from the whole thing, a big ol retcon.

@LostDestiny without conflict I don't see how any bond can grow with my character and the party. This retcon has made it difficult for me to get into character.
