Isnt larping more like batteling eachother while wearin medieval shit... cosplay is way more fun.

While cosplay does give you the opportunity to be creative in how you dress, LARPing is quite a bit of fun in that of itself. I say that because I've sparred with LARP gear before, aka foam swords, daggers, spears, etc. There are several different races you could be depending on what you want and what you're capable of. Sorcerers, Gypsies, Knights, etc etc. It's not all medieval shit. In fact, I've been told by my boyfriend, who LARPs, if you wanted to show up dressed as Ganondorf or Loki or something, you could. People would look at you funny or say dude, that's sweet and you'd have to come up with some sort of plausible background as to why they look like that, but it's all pretty flexible... Sort of. It's just a different kind of thing. If you've ever done a table top game before, it's like that except... without the dice and with actual skill.

To me, Cosplay is kind of a ramped up, all year round, version of Halloween. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to cosplay. I just don't have the funds to waste on it. Same with LARP really. It costs quite a bit to LARP. 60+ bucks just as an entry fee to the community every event. And weapons can be upwards on the 50 dollar range. So yeah. Not cheap in either case.

I want to cosplay a lot. Money, time and an outlet are all necessary before I can though. Tell you whay, Athalia descends on Comic-Con needs to happen some day.

Vikki or Carmen for me. Mizuki would be the most difficult cuz of the tails, but if I could I totally would. Of course, cosplaying Vikki is only feasible if Carlily becomes canon.

None of my characters would be caught dead cosplaying as me.
