I'm gonna make a villain. Probably a rival/ex-rival for Necrohead.

Still hate double-posting, but here it is. After at least a half-dozen attempts that were scrapped either for lack of inspiration or being too similar to existing characters (most notably Forgeborn and Zeta), I finally got a character I can click with. And they even come complete with an entry for your organization database :)

Name: Order of the Dragon

Description: Dracula's revival of his father's knightly order. Despite their veneer of chivalry, the truth is that it essentially consists of the monster's own brides and their numerous degraded progeny: a supernatural gang that ultimately answers to one of the most famous mythological figures. Famous enough, even, to corrupt the tale of Dracula's creator into one of disturbing woe. Nowadays, they distinguish themselves due to an obsession with antiquated weaponry... and a total lack of mortal membership.
Guess Anne's biggest mistake. <.<

I was half-afraid she'd get denied and I'd have to use Phalanx (one of the villains who was scrapped for being way too damn similar to Forgeborn) ^_^;

I drew a little inspiration from a certain someone, who...actually looks kinda like Blackhawk come to think of it...
By this point, between my OCs and those of some friends, I'm pretty sure we've got the entire cast of Kill La Kill

Though I guess the question is what type of superhero (or villain) would fit in this group of misfits...

Whilst I work on my other characters, have an organization. Think of them as basically our equivalent to Advanced Idea Mechanics, I guess. Also, I went over this with Vita, so one of the things mentioned near the end is something she agreed with so yeah. ^^;

  • Name: Ordo Scientifica

  • Description: An organization composed entirely of mad scientists and science-based supervillains who aspire to overthrow the current order and conquer the world via scientific and technological means. They attempt to do so via a two-pronged assault, operating both internally and externally. Whilst some of them try blatant world domination schemes (such as holding cities to random with electro-rays and robotic legions), others infiltrate the existing power structures of the world from within to slowly corrupt them towards their ends (as of yet, however, very little fruit has been born of these efforts). In addition, they often operate as arms dealers and technological backers for other supervillain groups, as well as terrorist cells and revolutionaries. Unlike a lot of other supervillain groups, OS is run as though it was a business, with each of its members recieving funding for their operations in return for a cut of any profits they should make.

    In order to advance their goals, they have set up several front organizations promoting scientific advancement, most notable being the Genesis Corporation, a conglomerate who dabble in almost every area of science and technology. Whilst it is public knowledge that the president of the Genesis Corporation, Hayato Ryuunosuke, is something of an eccentric, the fact that he is not only a member of OS but has a seat on their high council is currently unknown.

    Whilst OS tends to give their members free reign over their operations, ultimately they are ran by a high council who occassionally issue objectives for them to fulfil. Every year, OS members have their operations evaluated by the high council and if they are found to be not pulling their weight they will have their funding cut, something that can cripple many a mad scientists ambitions. Aside from Ryuunosuke, the high council's most prominent members are the mad geneticist Dr. Mangler, the self-proclaimed "retro" scientist Clockwork, the disembodied Headmaster and the overly flamboyant technomage Princess Ether. Chief amongst them though is the supreme leader and founder of OS, Warmonger, a cyborg who is more machine than man, practically worships technology and believes that flesh is inherently weak. Whilst his ultimate goal of replacing all biological matter with machinery is well known to the world at large, he is still a surprisingly effective leader and thus OS have not seen much reason to try and oust him from the position as of yet. Warmonger shares an ongoing rivalry with Lord Fatal, the leader of ARROW, with the two constantly trying to outdo each other; whilst the two organizations have never been openly opposed to each other as of yet, some theorize that it is only a matter of time before the forces of villainy erupt into a civil war of sorts.

    Bios:

    Name: Henrick Cassel, Grandmaster
    Age: 74
    Gender: Male

    Appearance:

    Personality: Like the chess grandmaster he once was, Henrick is a man who does not take pointless risks, who plans out every move ahead of time, and is always four steps ahead of the competition. His survival, and his anonymity, have always been paramount, and on the rare occasions anyone has come close he has willingly abandoned even the most elaborate plans to ensure his survival.
    Despite his chosen profession, he is not a bad man, and is an advocate of the ends justify the means, although what his final mission may be remains a mystery to all but himself.

    Skills: Henrick Cassel is an ex-Chess Grandmaster, fluent in several languages, including Russian, Chinese and German among others. He also has something of a talent for elaborate and complex plans, near impossible for others to interpret before it is too late.

    Abilities: One of the reasons for the Grandmaster’s continued freedom is his gift, or curse, depending on whom you ask. Or would ask, if anyone else actually knew. Henrick jealously guards the knowledge of his ability, a rare one indeed in this world of demi-gods. He can see the future. It is not an accurate ability, he cannot control what he see’s and is instead inflicted with visions. Years of experience have allowed him to understand and interpret many of these visions, and they drive many of his own personal machinations, and frequently allow him to escape before threats have even been otherwise perceived.

    Equipment:

    Brief Backstory: Henrick Cassel was born in Germany shortly after the beginning of World War 2, and at some time during the Russian advance on Berlin he was left orphaned. Though there was little in the way of a system put in place for orphans in the chaos after the war, somehow he survived, and was taken in by a couple who had lost their son to the war. They fled to western Germany, and he was raised as their own. His adoptive father taught him chess, and the young Henrick proved to have a flair for the game, and more than that, was a prodigy.

    He became a grandmaster at the then record breaking age of fourteen. Though he continued to play, slowly but surely his career as a chess player declined, more through choice than otherwise, and he moved to America, where he met his wife, Maria, and settled down into a relatively average life, two kids, a car, no dogs, thanks to his allergies. It was only shortly after this time that he realised that his frequent bad dreams were more than that, they were glimpses of the future, confused, shadowy, but stories that would come to pass nonetheless.

    It was around this time that his path took a darker turn, obsessed with the idea that the future was not set, so far, he has found no evidence of this. Despite his obsession, he has managed to keep his criminal career and his personal life separate, partially through never getting caught, and is currently living out life as a happily married, retired man with grown children and grandchildren.

    He is known of by both the IFJ, and The Secret Council, both as a solo villain, but also occasionally acting on a contractual basis for other villainous organisations, though only when it suits his purposes. He is less well known by the rest of the world, partially because of his talent for embarrassing both of them and escaping unscathed, but also because they are still not sure that he actually exists. Being only a shadowy mastermind behind his plans, and never going out in the field.

    It seems that all of his plans are leading up to something, but what it could be no one knows, of course he is very unhappy, though not surprised, at the sudden interest Greenfield has developed on an international scale.

    Hark, an NPC!

    Name: Vlad III, Vlad the Impaler--most commonly known as Dracula.

    Age: 583

    Gender: Male

    Appearance: On the left. Ain't I wonderfully imaginative with vampire appearances?

    Personality: Whatever he may have originally been like, the Dracula of the present is proud to the point of arrogance and immensely vengeful once slighted. Prone to obsession in all its forms, his interest is a distinctly unhealthy thing to gain--especially since he's never been too against horrific methods of death and their ilk.

    Skills: Both skilled at leading organisations of varying scales--from kingdom down to the current Order of the Dragon--and highly practised with swords and spears. When it comes to manipulating vampiric hypnotism to get a particular state of mind, there's no-one finer.

    Abilities: See Anne's bio--he has all the same supernatural bonuses, only somewhat weaker. He gets off a lot better in the weaknesses situation: Dracula doesn't burn in the daylight, and doesn't have to worry about the obsessive need to count. He's notably easier to kill: just get him in his coffin and stake... if you can pull that off.

    Equipment: Swords, armour, and the resources of someone that's spent almost all their life as a member of the upper classes.

    Brief Backstory: Vlad was lucky enough to interest Anne in one of her less-than-moral periods, and she stepped in before his execution--leading to Dracula's surviving that particular feat. Inevitably, they parted ways over the years and Dracula has only gotten worse over time, even though his creator sunk to her lowest point before recovering.
