Interest Check
It's late November, 2004, in Nerima, Tokyo, and something strange is about to happen. To the sounds of chimes new and old, several youths are whisked away into another world. They are the Digidestined, their task, gather and form the Royal Knights of Legend and cement their prophecy into reality!

Intrigue! A mysterious figure monitors their progress from the shadows! Is this watcher friend or foe? How does he/she know of the fledgling Chosen Children? And what does this mean for the newly hatched Digimon?

Okay, this is going to be a semi-realistic, somewhat serious Digimon RP, in which 10-13 human characters, played by as many players as we get, (Six or so?) do the above- form the Royal Knights. Now, there are currently all 13 cannon Knights revealed. Does that mean you're stuck with them? No. I'm allowing custom/non-cannon Knight like Digimon who are either already Holy Knight type, close enough to it, or a Warrior/Godman type. You can also design your own, just let me know about your choices and clear them with me first.

Character Sheets

Setting: I specifically picked 2004, because I figure it can be as 90's as we need it to be without having to be like "oh yeah, that didn't exist then". So, older style cellphones being popular, but no uber-widespread wireless internet is fine. Actually, that's what I expect. The more 90'sness the better. Its' a work of fiction so we can tweak it.

Hmm... fiery hothead or perhaps a more stoic Samurai-esque personality? Decisions, decisions...

So I might be changing up the champion and ultimate from the line I mentioned in the interest check, but we'll see how that turns out. Still going with War/VictoryGreymon as my mega though.

@DoubleHere's my vote, for what it's worth. :D

My human is basically done, so I'll post her and what I have so far for my Digimon I guess. ^^;

Um, out of curiosity, why are the age restrictions in place? Most of the canon characters were younger. ^^;

I also have a question. What exactly do you mean by "Control Method"? I know you mean "in order to make the Digimon less OP", but what are some examples of this so I could get an idea, since I'm thinking a million things.

@Rin I like the character so far. But I do hope you give the Digimon more than one Technique, and describe them. Unfortunately on my 3DS the pic of your character won't load.
@VitaVitaAR Because I was going to have them all be the same age but that felt unfair. Plus slightly older characters can have better development and we're not in marketing.
@Psyga315 It's hard to described it exactly, but it'd be like the Digimon being very defensively oriented, or having strong attacks but being slow, or the Digivolutions not lasting long.

Alright, so would "has strong attacks, but low energy and high cost" be an acceptable control?

Just to clarify, when I mean low energy, it usually means that after whooping ass for a bit, he will get very hungry or tired and can't fight when fatigued/hungry, and high cost meaning heavy sleeper or must eat a ton of food before feeling sated.

OK, I'm not sure I understand that reasoning. Either way that's put my character plans in the bin.

Yeah, I don't really get that reasoning either. And the fact that almost every canon character is below that age range (the main exception being Savers, but as much as I love Savers it is kind of weird compared to the others) kind of blows a hole in it too. ^^; Hell, one of the best things about Tamers is the character development, and all of the main characters are under 14. ...And I know that in addition to Lost Cause, Vita was planning on making a character younger than 14 too so yeah. ^^;

I also don't get the "we're not in marketing" point at all.

On another note, I guess I'll have to wait until you get onto a computer so you can see Mayu's picture. And I had assumed that the attack field was for their "main" attack (I put three down for VictoryGreymon because I was undecided as to which was supposed to be the "main" one), but I guess that's just my little misunderstanding. ^^; And like I said, it is a WIP at the moment.

I had to leave the Seat and Designation fields blank for now as I don't know what they mean. xD

Think what he is trying to say is that the show had kids on it to attract a young audience, and since we're not trying to appeal to any audience, the age doesn't have to be what it was.

That said, I agree with you.

Also been meaning to ask why we shouldn't have a military parent. My guess is that there may be risk for the kid to involve the parent and turn the situation into a possible Kurata problem.

@Lost Cause Okay, well, it's more a suggestion, and because I'm not going to pamper any one character, just to be fair. What were you thinking?
@Rin Maybe I want to be different. And there's no way the kids in Frontier are younger than 14, except maybe Tommy. I know it's a wip, but I was letting you know.
@Double For now they're not the most important. Basically Seat is the rank within the Royal Knights, and the Child designation is tied to that. Also curious- how will you be handling the Ulforce?
@Psyga315 Yes. Exactly.
Not sure what a Kurata situation is, but I want the characters to be in a stable schooling situation in roughly the same age group, and not have the risk of having to suddenly move, or reveal the Digital World to the military, as they will be going in and out mission/02 style. It's also a remnant of an odd prerequisite or two that I decided were too suspicious or unnecessary.

Aaaah, okay, that makes sense, I was guessing it to be the latter reason.

As for what a Kurata situation is...

Though, just a quick question for the former: would that extend to business people? My character's father and him moved to Nerima due to getting closer to his work (he works for a video game company) but they're not moving back to the US in the foreseeable future. Is that allowed?

@Psyga315 Ah, that's fine. As long as he's half Japanese.
@Double Okay. Well it's a regenerative quality, most commonly used to logic than UlforceVeedramon can't be defeated by an instant delete attack, but it could be represented as a continual slow regeneration.

Alright, that sounds like a good compromise and it helps set up some new stuff for my character. I'll write up the bio soon.
