They were extremely popular / hated, depending on the viewpoint. But then they were turned into villains by Imperial Propaganda I believe. Not entirely sure, what I DO know is that they're all supposed to be dead / executed on sight via Order 66.

No offense to either Rithy or Feisty but the direction that this seems to be going... just isn't what I signed on for. I wanted the real nitty gritty fight instead of Space Magic and I can see it heading down that path. Not to mention with the rapidity of the posts I wouldn't be able to keep up with my schedule.

No worries, I have another post in the works anyway. Besk is going to trade surplus weapons for other items of equipment. Players should feel free to pick up a Firelance or just accessorize their A280s with optics and similar. Armor is still an ongoing problem for anything that isn't too heavy or lacks resistance to blaster fire.
