@Raptorman Yup! Just run it by me and I'll tell you whether it's good or not. I'll have a map up in the morning so you can see the available territory.

I kind of have a character idea and some of the basics filled out, but I'm not really sure enough about the setting and lore to know where to go from here.

What I would like to know/do

1. As far as I'm aware the only way to become an 'immortal' is to get the sickness and transcend, so my character would have likely grown ill before his last fated act as a Slaver, namely getting stuck in a cave, screwing a bunch of his pals over and then getting attacked and nearly drowned in an underground reservoir by Hollow.

2. How does your character's personality/memories etc change when they become an Immortal, as the slaver backstory was going to be a big part of my character, but obviously he's changed into an immortal since.

3. What would be a good birth place for a son of a whore? Also, in his new (hopefully) profession as a rain-maker, or rather someone who's going to get people to pay him to make/find wells or reservoirs for them, what would be a good place to be based initially.

4. Will the Aqueous faction be trying to kill my character, because he's effectively giving away one of their main advantages for only a small fee.

5. Does any of this work?

A spark may influence an Immortal's emotions, retain memories, and look their eyes without being awakened.

I kind of read that as 'yes, your spark may cause you to veer off of or onto the straight and narrow' They can even talk to you, but it'll be a one way conversation until you've awakened.

Okay, that would work well with the character I'm running, he could be under the assumption that he's taken his second chance at life by the horns and turned over a new leaf, but it's actually just the Spark influencing him and he's still a dickhead at heart.

Also, am I reading it right when I think:

Dirty rounds = Post-fall ammunition plagued by duds, hang fires, imperfections and manufacturing errors.
High grade rounds = Pre-fall rounds subjected to higher degrees of quality control.

Or are High grade rounds specifically match grade? Additionally would AET/glaser rounds fall into this category.

Same note, would Heavy Ammunition strictly be explosives ordinance like grenades or would that cover HEI rounds for smaller firearms as well?

@Beach Burrito

I like you, you know your boolets.

To answer your question, yes, high grade rounds would be your Federal in the pretty white box (or anything else manufactured pre-apocalypse). Dirty would be your post-apoc and pre-apoc steel case, corrosive primed, etc rounds.

And heavy rounds would indeed be something like explosives, a 40mm or pineapple grenade would go there.

EDIT: I've also posted my own CS for a rough idea of what to do if you still had questions. It still needs to be ironed out some, but for now it should hopefully suffice to answer stuff.

I have one CS up soon. But then, how about animals in the Dust? Are they all gone with the Fall? Or horribly mutated? Do we have pet or mount around here?

It depends-- it could be that you don't really change at all, or you could become calmer because you've got a calming power or something-- it really depends on how you'd like to see them change.

3. What would be a good birth place for a son of a whore? Also, in his new (hopefully) profession as a rain-maker, or rather someone who's going to get people to pay him to make/find wells or reservoirs for them, what would be a good place to be based initially.

Tas if you want to be Asian.
Serenity if you want to be anything but Asian.
Eton if you want to be evil Forsaken.

4. Will the Aqueous faction be trying to kill my character, because he's effectively giving away one of their main advantages for only a small fee.

Probably.

5. Does any of this work?

I'd probably say that since awakened immortals trump non or partially awakened immortals Krieg (Kreig? It's spelled both ways in the sheet) would be more 'very heat/fire resistant' than completely immune. Right? Like if a more powerful hollow/awakened shot heat/fire at him that was hotter he'd still burn?

Also, I don't think there's any mana/energy in this setting--it's strictly an issue of powers putting strain on the organism residing in your heart. That's how I ended up reading it anyhow.

Oh...I was using mana as an expression of sort...I actually had it cross out. Must have made a mistake somewhere. And yeah, fire/heat resistant does sound better, I will fix it
Wow, actually managed to make a typo that lasted the whole CS. Silly me.

It seems there is a bit of a contradiction between the Factions tab for Motum Diversum and the 'Story So Far' tab. One makes it seem as though Motum Diversum is the most powerful faction in the wastes, while the other states it has fallen and been replaced by new nations. Can you clarify?

I think this RP looks pretty great. I'm just a bit overwhelmed by all the information. Still, I'm keeping an eye on it.
