Ok fair enough. But you can't deny that my description also follows Vegeta as well mate. xD.

I'm guessing that's a joke since "Light is smart carefree individual with a poor grasp on consequences. She prefers to make jokes instead of be serious in almost all situations. She values Freedom above almost everything, and gets angry when she sees it being undeservedly taken from someone." doesn't sound like Vegeta.

@Weird Tales

Alright well enough of this *claps hands*. Yes dragon ball can get bloody but even at those times when people are cut in half it is still rather clean, so to speak. So the blood attack is high temperature so why not just make it fire based, or perhaps something like oil if you want to keep it a liquid. Just change that bit somehow and I think I can find within my icy heart to let your character enter the roleplay.

Well now, at this point we should have enough people so we'll get started shortly.

I've posted my character sheet for Infer. Take a look, see if he's viable, and just to clarify about some of his abilities, their apparent lethality is always relative to his own power level; he's obviously going to be far more capable of murdering somebody with half his power level than somebody with twice his power level, if indeed he is seeking to murder people for some reason.

@Weird Tales Alright go ahead and put the character in the character tab.

@BCTheEntity As for Infer, looked over it and...aside from the fact you could use a space inbetween all those abilities for readability I think for a royal Acrosian seems like a good skill set. While many are powerful most of the big techniques are big Ki drainers so it somewhat balances out. Quite a bit of work put in, I'll accept the character.

Well that does it for now, guess I'll get this ball rolling in a few.

@Weird Tales Given that most, nay all of the characters who aren't Infer have been sent on a mission to figure out who's recapturing all of their planets, I imagine most of the players would start with Rufus and Jeene, having landed on Beryl. Just a thought.

Yes most will be staring with the group that just arrived on the planet. Now to give you guys an idea of the planet.

Planet Beryl

A very dry planet with little vegetation and water meaning it can often look like a wasteland for miles. Most cities are situation around the various oasis scattered around the planet, the few sources of water around. What makes the Planet interesting is that it has massive deposits of Valuable materials and precious metals, making it an ideal mining planet. Mines are very common on the planet as precious metals are in great abundance.

The natives are the planet the Berylians, a somewhat stout species, usually only five feet high at most, that have a very unique biology. Berylians are born with an exoskeleton that covers their entire bodies, making them look somewhat like insects or crabs. The exoskeletons are unique as they take on properties of the material they were born with. Berylians are born by eggs which are then nested in 'material bins', the eggs absorb the nest materials and encodes it into the Berylian's exoskeletal system. Because of how they are born there are as many different types of Berylians as there are minerals. Of course the more expensive materials are reserved for the more wealthy Berylians.

The Berylian way of life however is once again in danger due to the recent invasion.

I didn't put it in my CS, but when people are allowed to have transformations I have made a type for Baal

Light'll not have transformations, but rather an abilty that lets her scale to whatever power level an enemy transforms to, making them sort of pointless when used against her unless the transformation isn't a power increase like SS, but is instead a an actual transformation like Freeza's stuff, IE, changing stat distribution.

Also sorry for the late post. Moving without internet does that.

@Archmage MC I gotta say, there's probably a reason transformation is set up the way it is. Just being able to amplify your own power to match that of an opponent's, even if they become exponentially stronger than they were before the transformation, kind of strikes me as mildly broken, since it then becomes theoretically impossible for anyone to be more powerful than Light in a straight fight, and then again to win said fight given her tendency to drain their energy over time. Besides, given that specific PLs haven't been listed in this game, unlike in another DB game I'm currently a part of, I imagine characters can be "as strong as they need to be" against whatever threats turn up in this.

EDIT: Actually, upon closer examination, Light's entire racial ability set seems somewhat designed to make her functionally invulnerable. Enhanced strength doesn't seem like anything special in a universe of beings with "enhanced strength" amongst other enhanced traits, but she's natively magic-resistant, can create a barrier that absorbs energy projectiles (as opposed to blocking them the way other energy barriers seem to do, implying she actually gains their energy), and steals energy from other beings on contact, particularly when punching people, whilst being immune to and even inverting energy theft herself and gaining more speed as she steals energy. This would all be reasonable enough, I suppose, except that she also has Buu-level regeneration combined with theoretical regen feats that surpass those of Buu, such as reviving from being turned into candy, which Buu couldn't actually do; thus, the only ways to kill her effectively would be punching her hard enough to totally vaporise her - and when has that ever happened in DBZ canon? - or by overcharging an energy attack so her void shield doesn't work against it, this charge time obviously being highly exploitable by, say, moving out of the way. I mean, tricking her into a beam struggle might also work for that, but now that I've said it... well, it doesn't matter too much anyway, given that this is a PvE RP, but I just thought I'd bring it up whilst it's relevant.

I just wanna make transformations that are power boosts only useless, esp when fighting Light, as they're very boring and just bad in general. Now transformations that give more powers or totally change a combat style, THOSE are interesting. There is a reason why SSJ sucks while say... Luffy's Third Gear is interesting, since the latter changes his combat style and stat distribution entirely while SSJ is just +5 to all stats. (And combat changes instead of a blanket power boosts are also much harder to fight against.)

Heck, DB Xenoverse's SSJ is more interesting than any other iteration because it at least changes the combat style with inf Ki. Course thats not saying much, but out of all the SSJ stuff, its prob the best unless I'm missing something.

As for the character, shes running off Game logic, not Anime logic. So a 'powerful attack' charge time is like a second or two, instead of a minute for example. Plus anyone with a portal gun could destroy pretty much everything running on Anime Logic so...

@Archmage MC To be fair, the DBZ anime did have a huge amount of "power-up scream" filler, which wasn't particularly prevalent in the manga, and I assume that more powerful and skillful fighters experience time more slowly than weaker beings as well, at least to some extent. Still, a second or two is more than enough to dodge if she's paying attention... and, well, most DBZ transformations involve a power-up in some form or another. Just a thought I had, is all.

Its a fine one, though I'm basing her Void Shield off Super 17's Absorb ability from BT3, so she has a couple seconds of 'lag' when disengaging it, making dodging not so easy. I think I mentioned that in my character sheet, right?

And the transforms do, but they also change attribute distribution if its not SSJ. Buu goes from tank to bruiser to scrapper, Cell goes from hit and run to bruiser to Speedster, Freeza goes from balanced to bruiser to speedster to (sadly) Balanced+ to Bruiser+ and Gold is just Balanced++

Light's ability will just remove the "+s" next to transformations more or less.

At least she doesn't have Super 17's Hell Bomber attack. That thing was so broken...

@Archmage MC Sure thing about the Void Shield (which was not mentioned, rather that she's stationary whilst utilising it), but I'd personally not consider the transformations "class changes" per se. In my opinion, and assuming there even is any variance in a fighter's traits at similar high levels, Frieza is always exceptionally tough for his power level; Cell is always fairly high-end in all statistics, though moreso in his "more perfect" forms; Buu is always fairly non-tanky (though that's more due to "actively" letting attacks hurt him than due to actually being non-durable), but with absurd regeneration and a fairly tricky nature, given the size of his bag of tricks. Basically, the transformations might give slight changes to physical "statistics", but they are first and foremost a power increase, and being able to effortlessly match that power increase every time just strikes me as very, very cheap. Also, not sure what move you're referring to, it doesn't appear to be listed in his moveset on the DBZ wiki.

Well BC, let me explain how I want it to work, it comes out to be pretty balanced IMO.

Lets say Light has a power of 100 and the enemy has a power of 100. These stats can be split anywhere they want, but their skill TOTALS are the same. When the enemy 'transforms' or powers up, if their TOTAL stats go up, Light will 'match' this with the ability I'm calling "Void Link" or something, but wont match it perfectly, and will still be about 2% under the opponent. So if the opponent went to 1000, as long as Light is in combat with them, her power goes up to 980. The enemy still has a stat total of 20 points over her. It doesn't fully nullify the transformation, but it doesn't make it very good either unless it reallocates stat distribution like it should.

And its only on transformation abilities, stuff like charging for a big attack Light doesn't spike up to match since its a very temporary power spike, and lets face it, that wouldn't be fair. Same for temporary buffs like say, Arcane Power or something.

Meanwhile if Light was say, 80 to a baddies 100 and the baddie goes to 1000 from a transformation, Light goes to 780, keeping the 20% difference, plus her 2% penalty for scaling up. Still the same difference scalar wise.

Because lets face it, Super Sayan transformations mean nothing but to show how far a character has come in story development in a flashy way and DBZ abriged makes a good point that powerlevels are sorta pointless, and even Toryiama says the same thing. Its all about character and story development really. I mean, you don't see Edward from FMA going Super Sayan or anything, but he goes from a scrappy wimp to being able to kill neigh immortal beings just due to story progression and character development. So they aren't really needed. And your worry is that she'll make 'bosses' not very good or painful, but its only when they transform and shes still at the same gap she was before.

Of course unlike the enemy, Light CAN'T reallocate her skill points, so her speed/strength/ext is always the same percentages, while the enemy can possibly swap around theirs no problem, so instead of 30str 30spd maybe they have 40spd 20str or something.

And she'll learn it down the road, not right away, so it'll be a few bosses in before this happens anyway. :P

Meanwhile I just finished Undertale, and its a good game. Don't mind the graphics being SNES era and you'll have a good time. Plus Muffet is adorable.

@Archmage MC ...hmm. I guess that works out alright, then, though I'm still of the impression that potentially massive power increases out of nowhere might be a game breaker relative to the other characters, since most transformations don't seem to result in "stat changes" of the sort you suggested were a thing. I'm still a tad concerned, too, about the specific combination of racial abilities she has making her nearly invincible without a strong enough opponent or ki wave, but as I said before, this isn't a PvP game, so that doesn't strictly matter so much.

@gammaflux I see no problem with that.
