Sunlight, Decapitation, Fire, Stake to the heart I believe are the four really big ones, as per usual when it comes to vampires. Different bloodlines might have extra weaknesses. You can also be torn to bits with enough bullets.

Creating a Vampire:
The vampire drains the human. The human must be actively feeding upon the vampire as the vampire takes their last bit of blood so that the vampire blood will take over. Some strains have more specific rituals, but the base is the same.

Destroying a Vampire:
Sunlight, Decapitation, Fire, Destruction of the heart (this can a stake, the heart pulverized, ect.). You could be torn apart by bullets, or really anything that could pulverize the body, especially at our age. Different lines do have other weakness. There is a common practice of burying your enemies still alive, though lately the trend is to view burial an archaic practice.

**A side note on cannibalism: Feeding from another vampire is frowned upon by some factions and enjoyed by others. To kill another vampire by feeding on them is possibly the greatest vampire "sin". There is the possibility of gaining some of their power, but it is more likely that your mind will snap and you will be put down. At a young age, there is no way to withstand the power of a Baron, even if you were somehow capable of killing one. It is so rare that it is more of a myth.

1 - posted your OOC here after it was approved in GM
2 - made an actual vampire character
3 - not gone apeshit after we told you that your CS needs to be a vampire

And for better things to discuss, I have a question. How can we regenerate exactly? Just casually or do we have to drink blood? Also is it on the go, or do we have to lay down and such to heal our wounds?

Regenarion cost blood. It makes us hungrier. A single bullet will not make us overly hungry. Reattaching a arm is gonna have you parched.

I'm currently fine tuning my CS at the moment, and was thinking it would be interesting to have at least one prior contact. Would anyone's character have been likely to require the services of a P.I at some point in the fairly recent past? (ten years or so)

Any more than that would be a little unlikely, but one lowly discontented Vampire knowing another from a prior meeting wouldn't be all that unreasonable.

I wouldn't have needed a P.I. I don't think, but I'm still fine tuning my character. She is a fighter type and her Sire and Baron "trade" the services of their children with other barons; usually hired out as enforcer types. It would be possible that we had worked together. I am getting my CS up, hopefully today.

Everyone will add more stuff to connections as we figure out who is in the RP as well, so if it is lacking now that isn't an issue. :)

Might as well put it up here in clear text. Me and Noxxie decided that nobody can have a Baron as their Sire. You can be of his bloodline, just not his direct Childe. This is becouse it would put you on top of the food chain. The barons don't have any reason to sire anybody. They are in a position of power, and their "Children" are already out there, increasing their influence.

ALso. I know Noxxie has atleast a little stuff planned for different barons, so do ask us ahead of time if you want to directly incorporate them into your story. We are very happy with all your ideas, and want to weave them into the narrative best we can. We just gotta keep balance and our own vision in mind to.

My CS is up. At this point I am going to cut off any new submissions unless we have already spoken regarding the RP. I am about to head home from work and I will respond to all the PMs I still have as quickly as I can. Our plan will be to start working on Barons. Hellis and I have decided we are going to keep Baron control in our hands otherwise it will get chaotic. If you have opinions or ideas regarding the Barons please PM Hellis and I. We do still want ideas and I am thrilled at the characters we have so far, and the ideas that I've talked about with people!

Do you happen to know what 'district' the police headquarters is in? It might be interesting to make that Baron a 'Guard Captain' archetype of sorts, fiercely loyal to the prince with an emphasis on policing and protection. Then my character's sire would be one of his children, and it would negate the significant advantage one of the Barons would have in essentially controlling the entire human police force in the city. Just an idea though.

Nobody can be a direct Childe to a Baron. You can totally be of his line though. Also. I don't think a Vampire could be controlling the entire police force, becouse it would trace back. And that would expose the Vampires.

Yeah, you've mentioned that before. As I said it's my character's sire's sire who would be a Baron. The idea is that my character's sire is in a high position in the police force and has saturated it with his own children, because without that safety net the huge amount of Vampire crime would be even more likely to expose the Vampires than the potential of a human discovering corruption in the force. For a Vampire society to exist in a political sense controlling human government and policing on at least a local level is almost a necessity, at least in a city. Hell, most of the successful gangsters through history knew that, and they had far less advantages than vampires.

I did query with Nox if my character's sire would be an issue, but they didn't seem to mind. If it is a problem now I can change it, Nox just has to say the word.

If its one down the line there is not a problem. I must have missread. And yeah. There is totally a large contingency of thralls within the force. And a bunch of vampires. ITs hard to be officer if you cannot show yourself in daylight however. Its more of a subtle influence all in. But you are right, someone higher ups is under the vampire Monarchs thumb
