Or any of the usual elements: Water, Fire, Earth, no god of Darkness, Seasons. A god of night has nothing to do with stars or the sun - it is about the lack of such things. Most nights here where I live have no stars.

I mean, it's definately an option I'm willing to take, but I'm a bit clueless as to how far to run with it. It's like you told me "God of Ham Sandwhiches."

On this topic, some other domains I see as holes in our makeshift pantheon:

-Matter (Earth)
-Water (Oceans)
-Emotions (Greed, Ambition, etc.) This was my pick in the last RP and it was fun.
-Skill (Crafting, Farming, Tools)
-Evil/Hell/Occult (Demons)
-Nature (Hunting)

Edit: ninja'd slightly by Kho's edit. Although I did figure that Zephyrion, as god of change and air, would cover seasons.

I suppose that with such a broad and encompassing domain and portfolio, I could yield some room or share some overlapping powers with one or two gods.

@Dawnscroll Order is as wide as Chaos. Chaos is universal chaos, order is universal order: (Balance), (Law), (Morals), (Permanence), (Stability), (Punishment), (Retribution) etc.

On @Cyclone's point, I'd say 'Crafting' is in fact a Domain - it is as wide as 'Creation', except for non-living things

The forge god/god of artisans is a common theme throughout religions, but are there really gods of carpentry, masonry, axe-making, and things so specific?

I suppose crafting could be a domain, but I'd feel like it's a stretch.

@Kho I'd be willing to roll with it. Though such definition might place him at odds with some of the other gods. If I did him, he might be more of a "Natural Order/Mine is the only law/Singularity through subjugstion" type. As opposed to the "Keep the peace/Harmony" type of Order. Any qualms with that?

@Cyclone When I say crafting I mean it in its widest sense: things like forging, woodwork, metal work, the crafting of anything whatsoever, short of living beings, comes under crafting. So an automaton would come under something that is crafted - it even goes into the realms of inventiveness

Hael: Vulamera, ??? - Knowledge (Mind)

Actually, Kho, I've decided that I want to flip those around. Now it's Mind (Knowledge). I realize that we previously had knowledge as a domain, and I was planning on taking it as one, but I now realize that Mind is a more diverse and complex domain with far more potential for (portfolios) than Knowledge.

To name a few:
-Memories (thus allowing my Goddess to begin to remember past lives, and reveal the past lives of other Gods to them, which I can imagine becoming a major plot point)
-Insanity (which could also fit into Chaos, I admit)
-Sentience (lending some extra power of the sentient creations. But don't worry, I'll probably still ask before I manipulate large numbers of any other player's sentients ;D )

And so on.

Plus, it just makes more sense. Knowledge can't exist without a mind to comprehend it: by definition, knowledge is a mind's understanding of factual information. So a mind isn't a subset of knowledge, because knowledge is simply one of many functions of the mind.

If you want, I can still take Knowledge as the domain and Mind as the portfolio, but I'll inevitably fight you hard on it
