No, you're looking at this the wrong way. It's not Lorenzo playing favorites, it's the army outright ignoring details. If he was playing favorites, I bet you Serah would be executed already since he admitted to Elora having to have been executed were it not for his command, and both Serah and Elora are guilty of the same crime: Attacking allies.

Yep, that's a good explanation. Thank you for the icon, it really helps. The bomb is definitely too broken for a secondary, even if it does friendly fire. The EMP gun on the other hand I can get behind; cool name and design, and the weapon has reasonable limits to it. Make it medium-long range (6) and the entire sheet is accepted.

@Ariamis what about ranges for the other abilities? How far away can I attach the orbital defenders, how far away can the GDA effect projectiles? For simplicity, I could launch the drone for the orbital defenders from the Hoshizora, too. Any limit on the number of defenders Ojo will carry onboard?

Those details can be worked out, so when the next time I get a chance to sit down and write a post I will go ahead and write El's arrival as well, so she can get introduced at the same general time as Alyssa.

Orbital defenders have a range of 6 when shot with Hoshizora and 4 otherwise, GDA a range of 4, and Ojo has 3 defenders stocked.

So Mr Rage. I know we talked about it but considering your second character and even the "look" of her mech, do you want to agree that El's family were the designers of Neo Angel and Black Star?

I even thought that Mai/Maria had a history with El. She said that, due to her "Seven" persona, she wound up bouncing from division to division. Maybe they couldn't tolerate each other?

But, we could use El as the catalyst to start the conversation between Maria and Zim about the similarities between Black Star and Neo Angel.

As a general statement, In retrospect of that previous mission, I do feel like things went a little too smoothly. Am I the only one that feels that way? I mean, I know the infiltration team had a hard time of it, but unlike Troas/Joppa it really never felt like "oh crap, we might lose this one!" So, I feel like between that and the obvious foreshadowing that this battle isn't entirely behind us. So that is why I am glad that I am introducing this defense based support werk, because I really feel like we are going to need it!

Also, has everyone seen the new show coming out soon DARLING in the FRANKXX (with or without the k, there seems to be some confusion there)? It is a new Mecha anime coming out soon (next month I think?) With a lot of the creative staff behind gurran laggan, kill la kill, some of the gundam series, and a bunch of other really good shows and crazy action scenes. I am really excited about it. What I am not terribly excited about is the mech designs. Anyone who has looked into it, what are your thoughts?

That works. And yeah, maybe El's kingdom in general were responsible for the "base" design before the other stuffs like the T system were added in. Just saying that maybe their works started there in design.

And yeah, Maria also feels that way. She knows that something is going to happen due to how powerful the Cruxi's mind control is. It was one of the reasons why she kept saying "that thing isn't worth it" in general but I'm sure others just see it as emotional unlbalanced. But because of her new found "emotions", she's focusing on getting the war crime charges dropped on Serah and Elora if they go after her too despite Lorenzo keeping her in confinement.

Still having trouble making a post about that though...though the general idea is that Maria is going to walk away from the group to talk to Jake about helping her with making a case to support Serah and Elora.

Well, that'd be... Halo Wars 2, For Honor, some Destiny 2, some Rainbow Six Siege, a little bit of Ultimate Chicken Horse, a tad of Transformers Devastation and Assassin's Creed Origins, aaaand I just got Killing Floor 2. That's pretty much been the past week.

And I just looked that show up... some nasty looking mechs...

Looked at some art of DARLING In The FRANXX, and the main protag looks like a genderbent Ryuoko. That and the mecha musume desings I find hilarious myself; it's very fitting of Trigger, considering how KLK was their take on mahou shoujo.

@ArkmageddonCat I have never played any of those games, and haven't even heard of some of them. lol. I am a gamer wannabe. I don't have the time or money to afford games or systems to play on them. Blizzard and Nintendo pretty much gets all of my game moneys these days. And while Blizzard is now hosting Destiny 2 on PC for Activision, I still don't have the moneys at the moment to play. Sad Panda is Poor, hence all of my rage...

@Ariamis I know right? I mean I am still really excited for the show, but if my Mecha Design choices aren't any indication I am fairly partial to mechs that line up more with the Gundam body types, but I also like Macross, Gurren Laggan, Envegalion, and other similar things, so I do vary in my tastes, so I am really hoping that the show is good enough to carry the less than preferred mechanical design. I mean Gurren Laggan is pretty crazy with their mechanical design and I loved it because the story and action were so crazy. I am also going to start watching Star Driver here soon. I have attempted to watch it a few times and always get distracted from finishing it, so hopefully, I can actually watch it all before I get distracted with the January releases and, well, you know... real life.

@DarkRecon Oh, hey, El is a total noob, she would have never seen combat prior to training stuff, so the run-in with her in the past that you referred to in your post is probably going to have more to do with her as a princess and less to do with her as a pilot or squadmate, so keep that in mind as we progress further.

Oh, cool, I've actually been maining Berserker in KF2. It's a really bipolar class so far. Sometimes I absolutely wreck house, sometimes I get burned to a crisp in two seconds flat.
