I've just realized that in all the 9 years I've been part of this site, I've never had to change my name, make an alt account or anything like that!

Please don't mind the Chinese woman wearing a very... "unique" attire
Meilin Hua

"Oh... I've missed the opening ceremony..." Meilin mumbled to herself under the loud noise of the fireworks exploding, having just arrived.
If it wasn't for her having missed her flight in the previous day, she would still be on time to at least try to know a little better the new students, after all she could maybe be a mentor to one of them.
As an intern teacher, this year would be very different for her. While technically she was still a student, it was expected for her to act like a role model to the other students.

As she walked towards the institute, she gave a quick glance at the students who were watching the building coming into view. For her, the whole thing about the institute and the invisibility was more to ward off curious eyes and to make a show to the new students than to defend it from rogue channelers.
Nevertheless, it surely had an impact over the students, as many of the ones who saw it for the first time often were speechless after seeing the institute. Although she had already seen it many times, it was undeniable that the institute was a beautiful and imposing building. The sharp towers that pierced the clouds, the big open fields designed to more practical classes, the huge, intimidating wooden doors that led inside the building...
"I never get tired of seeing it." she thought to herself, contemplating the building for a second.

"Oh, right, I should at least try to give a look at the new students!" she remembered.

Many new faces were present in the opening ceremony. It was rather amusing as young channelers from many different countries and cultures could be seen reunited, all of them with a single feeling: their desire to learn. On the Institute, they would learn together about themselves and each other in a place completely detached to the problems of the world. A pure place to learn and evolve both as a channeler and as a person. No politics, no racism, no wars... That was the feeling that made Meilin choose to stay at the institute and become a mentor. Lost in her own thoughts, Meilin close her eyes for a moment and simply stood still, feeling the gentle breeze kiss her face and blow her hair.

When she opened her eyes again, she saw a very familiar, old and wrinkled face. Daler Ghumman. He was a wise old man, he used to be an instructor but now is retired. Meilin liked to meditate with the old man, she had a deep respect for him. Sometimes they talked to each other, but other times they simply sat down and meditated. The man had a lot of wisdom to pass.

"Namaskar, Daler." she said with a smile when she got near him with a slight bow and pressing her hands together, greeting him in the same manner they did when they went to meditate together.

"I missed your company." she said, looking to the old man with a smile.

"Not many people realize the importance of meditating nowadays, and even fewer people are as wise as you are."

"Have I missed anything interesting? I am a little late because I lost my flight yesterday."

"Oh, sorry, I didn't saw you there Mako." she said, greeting her after a while.

"Your acquaintance?" Meilin asked, referring to the quiet, doll like girl that was nearby.

"Pleasure to meet you, I'm Meilin Hua, but you can call me just Mei." she said to the quiet girl with a smile.

After she spoke to everyone, she turned to Dr Shin Maxwell.
"Doctor." she said in a distant, formal greeting. She didn't exactly got along with him due to his... Difficult personality, and as such she wanted to avoid any kind of problem with him.

@Azereiah

I was thinking in making Meilin and Daler known themselves, since Meilin has already graduated and Daler basically lives on the institute.

Giving that both like to meditate, maybe Meilin sometimes meets with him to meditate together and hear his wise words.
Meilin was raised in a temple, so she has a deep respect for the elders, especially Daler, who is someone who makes her remember of the old monks that taught her. Is it ok?

Just didn't wanted to post something like "Hey there, we know each other. That is not a question!"
I actually have a picture that I REALLY want to use in an rp, but NEVER had the opportunity to use...
(Actually have a folder with 60mb of really nice images to build characters, organized by type, theme, race and even weapons (guns, blades...), armor, clothes, misc items (like a really nice collection of flasks and potions (also never had the opportunity to use... maybe I would use it with an alchemist type character))

@Hammerman

Yup it is. And i'm not even a little sorry about it

I think that this party is about to get a little hot.

I hope i haven't gone a little overboard with this post... :-|
Aimée Bellerose

"Luck had nothing to do with it, it was all a show my dear. Although [...] I had more help than he did. We had a mage supporting me the entire fight, so we kinda cheated. And this Chieftain was a small fry dumb trying to prove himself, I got some good stories from other battles that puts this guy to shame."

"Really? A mage? But I didn't see any fancy and flashy magic going on like the mages that sometimes perform with me on big cities..." she said, curious.

"Oh you do? she exclaimed after hearing about the stories. "Please tell me them! I would love to hear them if you have time!" she said, he eyes shining with curiosity.

"As for You keeping me company I really can't complain. Especially if your company continues to my tent tonight." he said, with a sly and playful voice.

It wasn't the first time someone had made that proposal to her, as it was common on the big cities when others saw her dancing. Most women would get offended and irritated, but for Aimée hearing that was more of an compliment than something to be offended. After all, every woman likes to know that other men desire her. Women always took being called pretty and wonderful as a compliment, so why think different about something like that? After all, our words can tell lies, but our bodies always tell the truth. And for someone who gains her life by dancing, using her charm and her beauty to keep the audience interested, but at the same time maintaining the mysterious air and never fully showing herself are things that are natural to her.

"Oho~ You're quite the bold man aren't you Mr. Silas?" she said, in a playful voice.
"You flatter me with your words Mr. Silas, but I'm a very hard woman to conquer. After all, the most satisfying and memorable victories come with the hardest challenges, am i right?" she said, giggling.

"But you should be careful. Those who play with fire..." she said, letting go of his arm and spinning around him, her fiery red braids spinning with her.
"Often get burnt down to a crisp!" she said with a playful giggle as she poked the knife wound on his back with her finger.
"Mr. Silas, you're quite the interesting guy, I'll be keeping an eye on you." she said, walking away with a wink and a mischievous smile.
Lala was truly an fiery woman. Flirting and using her charm, bright and beautiful as the sun, but at the same time, unattainable. That way of keeping the men interested, never fully rejecting them, but always dodging their proposals, making they feel like they still have a chance with her is one of the motives why on every city she goes to dance, men always come to see her dance, as the women envy and hate her.

"Champion! You sir have never ceased to amaze me! And my most beautiful Lala, I will play the Lyre and lute until my fingers bleed tonight! Hell I'll sing dwarven opera if you wish!" She heard Stefano saying as she was starting to walk away.

"Please do Stefano! It would be rather entertaining to see you singing opera!" she said, laughing.
"I will be happy to perform with you tonight, lets give the weary soldiers a show to lift their spirits!"
"Now if you boys excuse me, i need to prepare myself to the party tonight. I don't want to use this combat outfit to perform. After all, i promised the soldiers to show them a special dance, and i cant let down my audience!" she said with a smile.

Aimée found a tent for her rather quickly, as some soldiers recognized them from the battlefield and promptly gave her an empty tent that was being used to store things.
The rest of the day passed really quickly as Lala slept a little bit and prepared herself to the party that night.

A couple of hours later

Aimée was called by Nixon and Silas to a sort of meeting... She didn't knew what it was about, they only said to her that they wanted to make her a proposal.
"The Blood Rose Irregular? Hm... Sure, why not? It sounds fun." she said, with a smile. "You got a very interesting group of people here."

Gettting outside, she heard Stefano's familiar voice in the middle of the crowd. It was Stefano. He was playing the lute and... singing?
Unexpectedly, his voice was very nice! Even after the failed attempt to drink the entire tankard of beer.

"Bravo! Definitely the selling point of your performance was the part with the beer!" Aimée said, approaching the crowd.
As she walked in Stefano's direction, the other soldiers stopped what they were doing, to look at her.
Getting near him, she raised the ring blade, now wrapped carefully in red silk, to hide the blade, and said.

"I promised you a dance, and I don't want to let down the courageous soldiers who sent the orcs fleeing with fear back home!"
"Lets do a party that even the orcs can hear while they cry over their defeat!!" She yelled, with the soldiers cheering loudly after the last statement. Opening a small circle around her and Stefano.

"Lets rise the temperature a little, shall we?" she said both to Stefano and the soldiers with a wink and a mischievous smile.
As soon as he started playing, she got the ring and started to dance, a different dance from the ones she performed on the battlefield..
Graceful and provoking, she put the ring on the ground, holding the top of it and passing through it, showing her beautiful legs in the process.
The dance was slow and did make full use of her flexibility as she did the provocative and sensual dance. Obviously the soldiers stopped doing everything they were doing and started cheering loudly to her dance. Their eyes were glued on her as she continued dancing.
"Don't get distracted Stefano." she said giggling provocatively to him, as she was dancing right next to him.

"And don't even think about touching me without my permission." she said to him loud enough for the soldiers to hear in a playful voice.
"This ring can cut snakes as easily as it can cut orcs!" she said, slamming the ring between Stefano's legs, a couple of inches away from him as she leaned over the ring, getting near his ear.
"Just play along, just a little thing to spice up the show." she whispered in a playful voice as the soldiers laughed in the back.
