Meilin literally sees him as a teacher. As someone who can teach a lot to her due to his old age and his experiences.
She actually respects him as much as she respects her masters who raised her, back at her temple in China.

"Perfectly well Daler, I went to china to visit the temple I grew in. Its a very peaceful place, you should go there one day, i'm sure that the elders would greatly enjoy your company."

"It's been slightly calmer than usual this year, Meilin. A student made a grave social error and was punched for his troubles, but there has been no fighting. Skyblue is up to his usual antics and has come up with a fresh 'introduction'. He's really outdone himself this time. Oh, and if you would like to join me and the others for tea after scheduled events, I would love to have you."

"Oh! So its pretty much the same as every year!" she said, giggling.
"I am actually surprised that we passed through the opening ceremony with only a punch. Normally the students would be throwing themselves at each other's throats..."
"Also, I cant say i'm surprised about Skyblue. I know that sometimes he goes overboard, but I think that the Institute would be a little less lively without him here. And yes! I would love to join you for some tea!" she said with a smile.
Skyblue was in fact a very interesting person. Sometimes he was a little inconvenient, and could be a little irritating, but he surely was a very cheerful and lively guy.

"Hey, Daler, aren't you curious about the new students? I wonder if they are interested about eastern martial arts..." she said after a while, watching some of the students as they went to the woods.
"Well... It would be nice if they were interested not only about the fight, but the teachings that the eastern martial arts pass..." she said to herself, lost in her own thoughts.
"Oh, sorry if i'm bothering you with my thoughts... I am actually anxious. I'm expected to find a pupil this year, and i'm really looking forward to it."
"Would you like to accompany me to watch the first year students' assessment test?"

She is really a box of surprises upon you first meet her.

Her delicate appearance and small body will make anyone think of her only as a little girl at first, but her actions and complete insensitivity to death will make you think about her as a cold and heartless monster.

But if you take a while to talk to her, and if you break the shell that cover her heart, making her trust you, she will open herself to you and show you that she suffers a lot. Being alone all these years, having no one to care and show her even a tiny bit amount of love...

It will be rather interesting to see her evolution thorough the RP.
Maybe if she finds someone that loves and care about her, she might show herself to be a completely different person...

Maybe if she doesn't find anyone, her feelings will sink deeper and deeper into her heart, turning her either into a cold sociopath or making her fall in a deep depression.

I have some questions about the RP settings, to build my backstory.

Was thinking in making a pureblood Nayu who got taken out of its mother when it was a baby (war? conflict?) and was raised by the Seraphim / the Aion/Taxis faction (All of them are "enemies" with the Nayu because of the blood feeding thing, right?).

Treated as an object only to complete their objectives, she was trained to hunt and kill their enemies.
Think of it as a monster who was raised by the church to hunt other monsters (or something like that.... lol)

Her personality is quite interesting too, I cant describe it accurately, but its not your usual "Hellsing" or your typical badass "monster hunter"

Considering real hard about making a blind character. It should be quite interesting.
About the sound manipulation, one could use it to "sense" things? almost like a sonar? I mean, only the outline of the things, something like what Toph does on Avatar.
