I've just realized that in all the 9 years I've been part of this site, I've never had to change my name, make an alt account or anything like that!

Their will and endless greed allows them to grow and ascend past other creatures But their mortality denies them divinity

Ask @Deos Morran. He knows exactly how easily I can impersonate a completely crazy, psychopath and insane character.
When we were doing the collab (How Ekaterine and his character met each other and started working together as bounty hunters) the first text I wrote, I made Ekaterine a completely crazy psychopath. Yelling, laughing and mocking while in the middle of a bullet hell. It was frightening how easily I wrote it...
In the end I stopped and wrote to him in the pirate pad 13: "Hey... do you think I should tone down the insanity a little?" "You may want to a tiny bit." 13: indeed lol She's kinda out of her damn mind.
@13org I am slightly scared about how much you apparently like guns...
That's quite accurate I love guns, blades, swords, knifes, spears, catapults, trebuchets, tanks, bows, axes, ballistas & etc. (not shields though... "In my land, the use of shields is frowned upon. If you don't want to get hit, you just move out of the way").
PS: its an obscure reference to a certain game. Can anyone guess which one?
War is the natural state of the human race, its nothing to be afraid of, nothing to be frowned upon. It existed since the dawn of the humanity, and it will exist until its end. As long as there are two humans alive on anywhere in the world, there will be war.
The endless creativity we humans have to constantly innovate the battlefield, creating even more powerful weapons and ingenious tactics and strategies... The battlefield is a living thing, constantly moving, constantly changing. That is what makes it beautiful, interesting and amusing. War is not only a bloodbath, no. There is so much more to it. War is a conflict of interests, a conflict of ideologies, of ideals. Each and every soldier carries with him the honor of his country and brother and sisters in arms. There is no right or wrong, there is simply two sides, two ideologies, two ideals. In the end, there will be only one left in the battlefield, and its biggest reward won't be money, territories or anything, but the right of being declared the "right", the "good" who beat the "bad". After all,
"What is history, but a fable agreed upon?”
Sure, lives are lost in a war, but that isn't how it goes anywhere in the world? If you think a little better about it, war isn't "unnatural". War is a natural thing, a force of nature. Two ant colonies who go into each other's territories will start a conflict. In the end, the only one left standing will be the stronger colony.
With the humans is the same thing. In the end, only the stronger, the most capable and adaptable will remain. Cruel? Yes, it is. As cruel as the nature itself. And lets face it, even though its cruel, the nature is beautiful. Every aspect of it, be it the harmonious peace between two different organisms who coexist helping each other or two different living beings fighting for territory, food, females...
But that brings up another question: Where is the line that separates war from ruthless and senseless massacre? A weapon that is able to kill hundreds, even thousands of humans with a single button... something like that... can be really called "war"? Weapons that can literally decimate every living being in an entire continent, is it really "fair"? Weapons that render any strategy and tactic useless. Honor, courage, ideals... those weapons are able to crush all those without any effort.
I ask you once more, is this really "war"?
PS2: @vietmyke if you decide to use a trench shotgun, I have some very, very nice ideas on how to use it in many different and unusual ways. Like: very interesting ways XD
Just felt it would be good to clarify (since we already have so many long range characters): While Ekaterine can be a sniper, she will act more like a medium-close range infiltrator/scout. Her skillset and equipment are made to be extremely flexible, allowing her to perform well be it in long ranged support, medium-close range scout/infiltrator, or even using normal, non subsonic bullets and her heavy caliber rifle to serve as an anti-armor unit (although using her rifle like that will deny 90% of her mobility, since the recoil is so bad, she needs to kneel down/get prone and use the rifle's stand to stabilize it.)
