Current You know you're getting old when you start getting excited after discovering a new cleaning product that makes it SO, SO MUCH easier to clean stains from the bathroom floor.

I've just realized that in all the 9 years I've been part of this site, I've never had to change my name, make an alt account or anything like that!

Bio

"Humanity takes great pride in three things. Their willpower, their greed and their mortality.

Their will and endless greed allows them to grow and ascend past other creatures
But their mortality denies them divinity

It's a delightful purgatory between being Fallen and being Divine"

One Night in Hell Club, Bar area.

Day 1 (Arc 2): Around 7pm

Corinna couldn't help but smile as she saw his reaction. It was really adorable the way he answered her, the nervousness in his voice, his eyes glued on her, following every single movement she made... But even though the man was completely infatuated with her, his movements as he started preparing her drink were agile, precise and made clear that he knew what he was doing. Despite his young looks and the apparent nervousness on his tone, he was certainly experienced on his job.
Corinna silently watched his agile hands moving as he prepared her drink.

“I can't. Gotta work still.” he said, handing her a red cocktail with an expectant smirk on his face.

Gently taking the glass in her hands, she took a small sip of it. The tart, but sweet taste of the pomegranate leaving a delicate, but sweet aftertaste on her mouth together with the orange liquor and the lime juice added an unique citric note to it.

"Incredible!" Corinna replied, with a seductive smirk, looking at him.

"Not only good looking, but skilled and with agile hands as well..." Corinna said, with a mischievous smirk.

"By the way, you haven't told me your name yet... I'm Corinna. Enchanted to meet you." She said, holding out her hand with the palm facing downward, in a formal and rather antiquated greeting. Even though he had already seen her arms, hands and fingers ending in rather scary claws, it was the first time he would touch them. If he did so, he would realize that albeit rather cold on touch, they were as smooth as their appearance suggested. The shiny exoskeleton could even be considered beautiful by some...

"Giving a charming client a bit of special attention is still working, isn't it?" Corinna said, replying to his previous statement that he had to work.

"You wouldn't let me sit alone and drink this wonderful cocktail all by myself, would you?" She asked, with a mischievous expression, looking directly to his eyes with an alluring stare.

Nenetl

One year has passed after Nenetl woke up. Even for her, the shock was rather big. Everything she once knew was no more. Nothing more than memories of an age long past... In one year, she had already passed by other cities, but she couldn't help but feel amazed by the city of Luce Prima.

"Live... Grow and thrive..." Nenetl repeated the words she heard from the scholars as she got out of the room that the scholars assigned for her.
Even though the scholars had shown her room, she wasn't really that interested in it. Nenetl honestly only needed somewhere to sleep. She appreciated it, of course, but honestly it was just more than enough for her.

As she made her way to the center of the town, it got even more livelier than before. Some people trying to sell their wares, others buying or simply looking at them... And as Nenetl passed, many, if not all of them were looking at her.

Unfazed by the curious stares, Nenetl walked through the marketplace, with curious eyes, looking at the wares, the people, hearing what they had to say. There were simply too many different types of creatures there, so many it was fascinating for her. Not only that, but that city also had an unusually abundant flow of magic. She could feel that the membrane that separated the spiritual world to the material world was much thinner there.

"...memories..." Nenetl muttered to herself as she closed her eyes, feeling a breeze passing through her hair, fluttering the feathers that decorated it. Bittersweet memories of her life before she died flooded her mind. Even though the world she knew was long gone, she would fulfill her duties. She was the last one of the Aztec shamans. She held a knowledge that was now lost through the ages, she was the only one who could do what the other shamans failed to do.

But it didn't matter how much she thought about it, she couldn't change the past. That Nenetl died that day. Buried together with her shame, her negligence and the mistakes she made...
Taking a deep breath, she opened her eyes, continuing walking through the marketplace. A lot of things about the modern world were still a mystery to Nenetl and she greatly enjoyed watching those things and trying to understand them. Even though she had lost everything, including her life, she was given another chance. Wasting it or not living her life to the fullest would be an insult to Tonatiuh and as such, even though she was clearly the center of the attentions, even though she was basically a live relic of a forgotten time, she kept with that same serene smile on her face.

But before she could continue, a certain word she heard caught her attention. Just a few meters away from her, an elf boy tried to sell his wares. Medicines, poisons and herbs, but the word that caught her attention wasn't any one of those, instead, it was a word that a man said as he approached the elf.

"My sincerest apologies, where did we leave off?" The elf boy said to the man, after a brief interruption from a woman looking for medicine for her son.

Getting closer to both of them, Nenetl gently touched the elf boy's shoulder from behind him.

"You were going to sell me some coffee too." She replied as if the boy was talking to her, with a kind smile and a chuckle. While initially, her exotic appearance might be a bit surprising, her calm expression and eyes were clear indications that she meant no harm.

"I'm sorry, coffee is totally my weak spot." Nenetl said, looking to the elf and the man near him with a chuckle.
But the second she looked at the man, she felt something strange on him. For a brief moment, she looked at him with a serious expression in a strange way. It wasn't like she was looking at his clothes or his eyes, but almost like if she was looking right through him, searching for something that wasn't there.

After a brief moment, she blinked, her expression going back to the same serene smile she had previously, looking to both the man and the elf boy.
She didn't say anything, but the way she looked at him made clear that she knew exactly what he was, but instead of reacting in a different way, she simply continued, almost like if she was already accustomed to that.
