Dragons and powerful monsters rule mankind now. Scientists in 2300 CE discovered that the planet was going to be utterly annihilated in days. Most of the population was either on the planet, Mars or in the solar system. Earth was evacuated, and instead of a normal scientific anomaly occurring as it does so often in the stillness of the universe, the explosion caused by Earth's Core caused the entire universe to shift into an entirely new dimension. An entire new world developed like a Fantasy world, into a land where Dinosaurs could reign over kingdoms, tribes and clans like deities, dragons could lord themselves over much larger kingdoms, also claiming godhood, Pharoahs could wage war against Pontifs, Archangels and demonic princes wage wars across the grand new world, three scores worth of the planet Earth, all spread out across one single planet, where the land is lush, green, barren, sandy and yellow, where Asian landscapes catch the soul of the eye, where the land is dead, full of wicked spirits or living, full of the breath of god like and benevolent beings, where the Cosmic Forces of good and evil fight each other daily, as ministering spirits of compassion and cruelty argue, if they can't cut each other apart.
The worlds outside Earth containing Mankind merely transmuted as if by enchantments, after being destroyed, instead of just being gone forever. Human beings found themselves spread out across new worlds. Some of them retained their memories of the old Earth and the age of Science, SOME even remade technology to the 24th century's immense ingenuity, stark raving intellect and unmatched powers, making themselves comfortable from the start of history, well, the restart of history, while Earth didn't have that privilege. Few if any on Earth remember their former days. However, instead of just being born, the people from a previous age will be reborn as they wait in the after life, whether there was an after life in 2300 or not, to be on the Earth again.
The Earth, now just called The Overworld, is enormous, with many cultures mirroring, or highly differing from Earth's cultures.
