Well what if Tiger Eye was important to Blood? I can see Blood wanting to keep pieces of people he found close to maybe save them in some way or another. After all, he said that he could have destroyed Aqua when he first wounded Aqua in battle so bad she had to go in her gem. It isn't far fetched that he couldn't stand to see Tiger Eye just be pieces on the ground so he saved a few

I still think that the corrupted gems were made with a virus in their DNA seeing as how the injectors are shaped like viruses and if all else that they didn't get the nutrients they need to be able to preform a normal body

I never saw them as PTSD gems. I think they have a virus or glitch being placed in them or that they were literally too packed together to get the nutrients from the Earth that hey needed. I think they were made that way on purpose sometimes too but that is just me.
