To Settle a Dispute

Alright, first off welcome. I know most likely no one will ever come here, but I feel like doing this anyway. We as a guild should learn to work with each other and help each other to grow as writers as well as people. Yet, there are so many arguments that happen constantly. The moderators of this site do an amazing job, but they are just people like us. We can't expect them to know every last thing that happens within the guild. I believe that we as guild members should learn to take initiative. The mods have done so much for us so I believe we should do our best to try and give back to them. The way I feel that I personally can best help is by doing what I do fairly well at. By being a mediator. I've gotta say I have an unfortunate amount of experience at doing such a thing for my age.

A little about myself

Before I can even attempt to help people here in the way I want to try, I need to tell you a little about myself I suppose. Well, get ready cause I am very bad at talking about myself. I am 19 about to turn 20. This means I have a low amount of life experience, but I like to consider myself quite skilled at being unbiased. I will say I have done a considerably lot less than most people my age, but I hope that doesn't make people think I can't help. As of right now I can't think of more to say, but if people ask me questions I will answer them and add them here.

Rules

Now I guess it is time to go into the rules and procedures I would like followed by people if they actually come here.

• #1 : Follow all guild rules.
• #2 : Read @Lady Amalthea's Rpers Guide To Etiquette. I know it doesn't pertain much to what this is about, but I believe everyone should read it.
• #3 : No cursing , Foul language, or insult throwing. The purpose of this thread is to peacefully settle a dispute. I don't want anyone arguing here.
• 4 : Listen to what I say. If you are coming here for my help then you need to listen to what I say and take my advice. However, if you can calmly state your opposing views then do so. Just don't get mad at me if I don't take your side.
• 5 : Prove to me you have read the rules by stating at least one of the bullet points used in Lady A's Rpers Guide To Etiquette. Otherwise, I won't acknowledge your post until you do.
• 6 : Do not come here thinking that you will get an outside source to instantly back you up on something. That is not what will happen here. I will listen to both sides and look at things from multiple perspectives and then I will do what I can to help you.
• 7 : Do as I ask. I may ask you to screenshot something and send it to me. I may ask you to tell me how a particular thing made you feel or how you felt when posting a particular thing.
• 8 : Have possible witnesses prepared. I may want to speak with someone not involved directly in the argument but witnessed everything as it happened.
• 9 : Do not tell me false information or attempt to give me fake screenshots.
• 10 : Now last but certainty not least. Be respectful. Yes this can be considered a reiteration of past rules, but that is how important it is.

Now to get into the procedure for how things will happen here if you seek my assistance.

The first thing that will be done is you will read all the rules.

Next you will collect screenshots of whatever argument or issue you are seeking help with.

Make sure you tell EVERYONE involved that you are coming here so they can prepare as well.

You will then present to me in a PRIVATE MESSAGE with all other individuals involved the information you collected.

Each person involved will take their turn to say their side of the story. At no point will anyone say anything about what the person said unless I ask them for their thoughts. If you have something you really want to say then type in the PM asking me if you may say something.

After everyone has presented their sides of the story and information I will go over various things and speak privately with people one on one .

After this I will present to everyone what I think the best course of action should be. If any disagree with what I say they are to calmly and politely state their opinion.

I will the respond in a similar manner and this may go on for a while depending on what we say.

Once this is done everyone will go their separate ways and never speak in the PM again.

I will follow up with the individuals involved for a few weeks and if the argument hasn't stopped I will place the users on a list at the bottom of this first post of those people so others can be forewarned.

The young man, who usually showed no emotion, had a sudden tinge of a mixture of shock, confusion, and anger on his face. Is what Haru said true? Alex knew Jenna was dead. That's not what fazed him. It was that the murderer was James and Alex hadn't even realized that. This alone wouldn't have been enough to put something other than a blank stare on Alex's face.

The fact that James had taken Erin is was brought shock onto his bland expressionless face. What brought on the confusion was how Haru was acting. What did this kid know about Alex that he hadn't told him. Something must be different about him if Erin would open up to the boy.

Yet, the thing that brought in the anger was the fact that Erin attempted suicide. Whether she succeeded in her goal or not was left unknown to Alex. Alex had seen her walking into the school, but didn't know exactly when her attempt had occurred. This didn't actually bring the anger to show on his face. One rule Alex had was that you have to see the body for yourself before accepting it as fact. What made anger show was that Haru called him 'Hero'.

Alex started at this kid. He was angry. He wanted to figure out the full details, but letting his anger take control of him would be counter productive. For about half a minute Alex stood there staring down Haru trying to let his current anger subside before he spoke. Then finally, "What's it to you. Erin didn't want me around her. She made that clear the first day I showed up. Clara also told me to not interact with Erin. I was doing as she asked. I'm guessing she told you how I really feel about this school huh. Otherwise you wouldn't be acting all high and mighty."

The man had failed at holding back all of his anger. It's harder to control something you don't know the cause of. His words were practically oozing with venom. He was getting tired of pretending. Tired of acting like everyone's friend. Depending on what the full story was Alex wouldn't need to do that any longer. He already knew enough about these people to know what they might do in certain circumstances. It now made sense why Haru seemed peeved particularly at Alex. The man hadn't done anything, and that was why.

Alex looked to the boy in front of him and said, "Look, just tell me this. Why does-" but before he could finish the intercom went off. It was Kyle. Apparently, the reckless troublemaker was now their temp leader. Yet, something in his voice sounded different. Just what had happened these last few hours? Alex looked back at Haru and said, "Looks like you have a meeting to get to. I'll escort you since you probably can't handle walking there on your own. You need to be able to shadow someone. You can be my shadow for now. Also, once your done speaking with Trenchcoat Macguyver you're either A gonna tell me where Erin is or B show me where Erin is. I have something that she needs to see. Something even her shadow probably can't do."

@AbysmalDemon Funny thing is my signature is technically just one. Haven't edited it since I think two days ago. Someone linked me to a site that you can set up a link to automatically rotate at random between a certain number of gifs and or pics. I have 20 in my list. You can practically go infinite with the thing. Also no problemo doing Sho's gym battle. That's technically part of my job as Co-GM.

Also as of right now I should be free from now (2:00 PM for me) to about midnight (so 10 hours really) unless something comes up. There will be a breif 15 30 mins where I have to do something but I'll post when that happens. Other thaan that if I haven't responded it's because something happened and I didn't have time to post or I just haven't checked in the past few minutes. So, if anyone is looking to do their gym battle I'm all for it.

I shall post tomorrow. Wondering, though, would anyone like to be past friends of either Aria or Quinten? Quinten might be more familiar face than Aria. Aria has been gone from the district for two years and just came back. Don't know too many people in this RP, plus I don't want to just reach out to people I specifically know. Time to meet new faces! Didn't really think of this until just now when I got done reading all the more important posts ^{(will be going back later to read every post just to catch up on all that has happened between each character)}.

Sadie didn't really know what to do. Amelia was still crying bad. It physically hurt Sadie that her friend was going through something so horrible as this. She knew though that everyone would work together to make it better.

While they were getting their food Sadie got a text. She pulled out her phone to see Lily had messaged her. She quickly read the text and responded,

To:Lily
Sender:Sadie
-"I'm with Amelia. We just got our food and are walking around. Wait, never mind. Amelia just spotted Ezera. We'll probably be sitting with him. Sorry."

All Sadie had grabbed to eat was a small thing of fruit. Really she wasn't all that hungry. The two friends walked over to Ezera and two other people. Sadie merely just waved 'hi' since she didn't want to say anything because she hoped Ezera would try to say something to make Amelia feel better.
