As a kid Ricky had it fairly easy. With a large majority of his family being a part of the film industry in some way or another it was expected that he'd most likely follow suit. At first though he refused. His parents and siblings tried to force him to audition at some places, but he just wouldn't do it. It's not that he was being rebellious he just didn't think he could live up to the family name. He didn't think he'd be any good.

However, there was one audition for a show that really appealed to Ricky. While his brother was awaiting his turn to audition for the role of Francis Callahan, Ricky began to really like one of the characters in the listing named Roddy Callahan. Ricky thought that it would be cool to work with his brother as brothers on a show. So, Ricky decided to audition in hopes of getting the little brother. Neither him nor his brother got the roles they were after, but a few days later Ricky got a callback for another character called Derek O'Leary. Ricky was extremely unsure if he even wanted to do it but his brother convinced and motivated him to go for it. He was surprised when he actually got the role.

At first he was just a minor character that had little to no screen time but overtime people began loving Ricky's portrayal of a bully with a soft spot for the extremely less fortunate. For the last two season's Ricky's character Derek O'Leary had made his way onto the main cast. Unfortunately, the character didn't get his redemption year of becoming a better person. Ricky had decided that after the show was over he'd become a screenwriter/playwright so he could make masterpieces just like Edenridge. When he was contacted for a reboot Ricky jumped at the chance to rejoin the cast.

To start telling the biography of Derek one would need to start first with his parents.

Sarah and Mike, the mother and father of Derek, were the it couple at Edenridge High during their high school years. The captain of the football team and the head cheerleader. Prom King and Queen and the most popular kids in town. Yet, as a lot of kids their age they were young, stupid, and careless. A few weeks after prom Sarah realized she was pregnant. Her parents were furious, but did nothing to punish the girl. Mike also promised he would stick by her side forever and that a baby wouldn't change anything, and she believed him. How unfortunately naive.

Only a few days before the due date and Mike disappeared without a trace. Even the boys family and closest friends had no idea where he went other than a note that basically said screw everyone and that he was skipping town forever. To add onto Sarah's grief her mother passed away the day that Derek was born. How could someone be happy in these horrible circumstances? However it was done doesn't matter. Sarah was still overjoyed to have the baby in her arms.

The joy didn't last long and she knew it wouldn't. Her father was an extremely strict man and she knew it. He told her she would work to get a place for her and her baby despite having the money and living space to support them. He would give them money anytime they ultimately needed it, but other than that all the man did was watch Derek while Sarah was working or taking classes.

Skip a few years to while Derek is in elementary school. He is a kind quiet sort. Helps his classmates and has a few friends. Then a specific kid moves into town. Starts bullying Derek calling him all sorts of things and pestering him. Derek took it and never responded. Until one day the boy attacked one of Derek's friends. Derek couldn't stand by and watch. He stood up to the bully and in the process got beat up for it. Then his 'friend' didn't even help him.

This basically broke Derek. He switched schools because his mother didn't want him to get hurt again. When he started at the new school he was different. No longer the sweet boy. Now, he despised anyone who looked down on others or had it in any sorts of the way easy. No one other than Sarah remembered the kind boy that Derek use to be.

Starting high school was basically the same deal. By this time he had his lackies and easily became the top dog of his grade. He was basically just a jerk and bully to anyone who didn't stand behind him. Being one of the best football players in the state didn't help much either. By his junior year he was the most popular guy on campus, and he absolutely hated it.

Over the summer between his junior and senior year, the summer after the shooting, Derek had a realization that all he had been doing was a complete waste. Treating people the way he did wouldn't benefit him at all. He closed himself off that summer and when he came back to school he was a different person. It was impossible to make up for his wrongs but he did his best.

He went to college on a full ride athletic scholarship. It looked as if he was going to have a promising career in the NFL until in his senior year of college he received an injury that completely destroyed his knee that caused him not to be able to play again. After no NFL team's wanted to take the chance on him he went back to Edenridge and became the assistant head coach and school janitor.

Jake listened to Trinity as she explained to him what her new ability did and the effects of it. "That's gotta suck. The only bad thing about my ability is that I keep falling through things." Jake started to feel worse for the girl. It was obvious she was upset. He hoped he could find some way to help her.

I fall through things too but only because I weigh as much as a cow but I suppose it is so I don't break my own bones just by moving.

At least our forced evolution is balanced by logical adjustments in our physical forms she said with a slight giggle

But at nearly six foot tall I'm used to being heavier than other girls. she added

At least she seemed to be keeping a positive attitude about things. Jake nodded to what she was saying. Once they got outside Jake said, "So, what do you wanna do first? I'm fine with whatever." Jake took a moment to look around. This was his first real look at the outside world after being trapped in the bunker. Five days ago he hadn't taken the time to look around and see how different everything was.

I was going to see about clearing some of the junk around the bunker; sort of because it needs it and also because I need to see how much weight I can actually lift.

Promise not to freak out but I already know I can lift about five-hundred pounds like its an empty tissue box Trinity said as she trotted down towards a large pile of trees that blocked part of the road near their home.

Jake followed her down towards the trees saying, "That actually sounds kinda cool. Your basically like Colossus while I seem to be Shadowcat. Since you can easily get those I guess I should figure out some way I can help."

Jake looked at the large trees and realized he wasn't really any use at this point unless there was something else to his power, but how would he even know if he could do more.

Trinity reached out to grab a tree by a thick limb and was beginning to lift it when her hand crushed the heavy branch like it was rotten. She shifted her grip and lifted the tree which had to weigh at least five tons as if it were a ten pound bag of flour.

I guess I need to be careful even with the trees she smiled as she tossed the thing about 60 feet away and grabbed another.

Kind of makes me worry about giving anyone a hug anytime soon she sighed as she chucked the second tree like she was clearing branches from her yard.

Jake thought that last statement was kinda funny, "Who you planning on hugging?" a slight smirk on his face. Then he realized that since everyone had abilities now they probably would need to train everyone to use and control what they could do.

"You probably just need to practice. Like maybe grab something slowly and see how much pressure you have to apply before it breaks." Jake didn't know if it wold work but it should be worth it to at least try.

Trinity picked up a tree that was long and thin grasping it in the middle and getting an odd idea that made her grin as she adjusted her grip then leaned back before slinging the 3 ton piece of lumber like a giant's spear. It flew for over one hundred yards before crashing into the ground and sending a cloud of dirt and sand flying through the air.

Well that was kind of neat she laughed as the guards near the bunker entrance freaked out a little at the unexpected noise

Jake laughed along with Trinity, "Okay, yeah that was cool. You know what I'm going to try something." Jake walked up to the pile of trees putting his hands on two of them. He was fully intent on walking through them, but instead while he was focusing they ended up slipping into each other causing Jake to stumble forward. He fell directly on top of the two logs which quickly broke into pieces due to being inside each other.

Jake thought he'd get scratched up by the broken logs but soon realized that there wasn't a scratch on him. He stood up looking at the logs to see a slight impression in the area he fell into. His clothes were cut up a little but he wasn't hurt at all. "Uhh, what the heck!"

Trinity inspected the spot he made in the tree then turned to him I guess you changed their density and it was more than they could take. Lucky for us it didn't result in any sudden energy release as two Molecular structures struggled to occupy the same atomic space

She spots an old car that may have belonged to some of the others and been left in the parking space outside the bunker. She grabs the car in two locations and pulls them in different directions ripping the steel like a sheet of Aluminium foil.

I guess we all do have a lot to learn I just hope there is someway for me to control this strength so I can touch people without breaking of killing them or else it will be a lonely life for me

Jake walked over to Trinity putting a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, it's going to be alright. No one will abandon you. Everyone is in this together okay."

Skills/Powers: Shadow Mimicry : Jonathan has the ability to morph with shadows. When surrounded in shadows he can make his body and whatever he is touching blend into the shadows. By doing this he can travel through the darkness practically undetectable and completely silent. He can also merge his body with his shadow giving him enhanced strength and speed.

Due to being trained to become a shinobi Jonathan is trained in many things. He is trained in espionage and survival skills. As a youth he studied survival and scouting techniques and was taught of poisons and explosives. Heavy physical training and a certain level of knowledge in many basic professions. Minor medical training was given as well.

Weapon(s)/item(s): Kunai. Shuriken.

The Legendary Masamune Blade : The long lost final work of the legendary swordsmith Masamune. Found recently by the Hattori Clan and infused with elemental magic.

A motorcyle with attached compartments carrying extra equipment as well as faster and more durable than other motorcycles. In the attached compartments are a Kusarigami, caltrops, and a few miscellaneous items that may be useful depending on the job.

Occasionally he may even bring two Berettas.

Personality: In a sense there are two separate personalities. One when he is on a mission and then the rest of the time. When on a job he is cold and calculating, focusing solely on his objective and figuring out the best way to accomplish his mission. He lets absolutely nothing distract him from accomplishing his task. Otherwise, he can be a decent outgoing guy. A life filled with near solitude has caused him to try and be as kind as he can to anyone not considered an enemy or threat. He is very good at hiding things and is highly deductive as well as very honorable and loyal.

Bio: Jonathan Hattori was not born to a normal family. He was born to the Hattori Clan which secretly survived among the growing world throughout the centuries. This clan continued to teach the ways of the shinobi and followed the teachings of the Bansenshukai.

Jonathan was seen as a prodigy quickly learning the ways of his ancestors despite the modern time he was born into. He was considered the best of his current generation and numerous goals were set for him. Those above him sought to mold him into becoming the first modern day Hattori Hanzō since the collapse of the Iga Clan. They forced him to do tasks that he felt were evil and unjust. Among these things were to be scientifically tested on via DNA alterations giving him his power. Eventually he had enough and decided to stand up to the heads of the clan, but they threatened to harm his family if he didn't obey.

He couldn't deal with it anymore so on a mission he decided to fake his death in order to keep his family safe and escape the Hattori Clan. He now goes under the alias of Tamashī and only a very select few know his true identity. It had been a few years since then and he started work as a mercenary where he quickly gained a reputation as someone who never failed a job.

On one job he was hired by some nasty individuals who he thought were just transporting normal weapons to protect the shipment. He easily discovered that the shipment of 'weapons' was actually a bunch of young kids with powerful meta abilities. Despite how Jonathan usually was on a job the honorable man inside him couldn't just be a part of that so he killed everyone who was transporting the kids and set them free. That night he sneaked into the home of the one who had employed him and ended the miserable whelps life. That's when his contact through the black market told him about a message from some guy called Blaque saying that it was some sort of test to see if he was worthy of joining a company. At first Jonathan scoffed at the idea, but when Blaque came to him and used the man's real name Jonathan joined without hesitation.

This was good. The group of four were finally back together. Hopefully they wouldn't get easily separated like that again. Since Chance seemed to have taken up the role as cook for tonight Sadie decided that she would play with her Pokemon while they waited for dinner to be ready. She released the Gulpin from its Pokeball and the small team spent the time having fun when Sadie heard Lusitania ask if anyone wanted to battle. Sadie would have offered but she wanted her Pokemon to get good rest for the morning. As soon as the light starts to show she plans on having a training session with Gigaton and Goopy. So, instead Sadie sat back and waited to see if anyone else accepted the challenge.

@alexfangtalon Hmm...interesting, I like him :D. With his shadow ability, is there a flaw with it? I don't mind him using the shadows to travel a bit as long as he's not ultimate dodging. and also, with the blade that can use elemental magic, what element can it use?

Oops. Forgot to add that stuff in. He can only travel through connected shadows. If light is shined on the area he is while he is hiding in the shadows it hurts like CRAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!

Also he is still a physical body when hiding in the shadows so he can still be hit if someone even realizes he's there and would be able to hit him naturally. He can't hide in the shadows and fight at the same time. That's where merging with the shadows comes in. At that point it is more like shadows have engulfed his body increasing his speed and strength at the same time. Still a fully physical body. The light thing won't hurt him in this state though.

There are basically three levels of his connection to shadows.

LEVEL 1 : Just his natural body. Every so often he attempts to lace the shadows with his natural body in order to train/see how far his powers go. He never does it on mission or in a fight.

LEVEL 2 : When he merges with the shadows. The shadows basically create a second skin around him.

LEVEL 3 : He is basically becoming a shadow at this point hence the light being very harmful to him because it forcefully/rapidly turns him back to LEVEL 1.

With the blade it can currently only use the elements of lightning and fire.
