To be fair, my genocides happened in the past and the Roa'marii are looking to prevent future genocides. That's why we started the United Empire. Join Today!

Hmm. To be honest, that could be a thing. The civ I got, while they wouldn't consider themselves as an actual member of such an empire, wouldn't dispute it either if the UE made contact and wished to retain friendly terms. Maintaining a presence on their worlds would be an issue, however, as they live within a sulfur-based ecosystem. Then again, such could easily be worked around if relations was a thing between the two.

Most certainly. Everything is of interest for it would not be the Great Record of the Galactic Civilizations and Planets if they didn't record everything. Except for tainted records, however.

What is this Great Record? It could be something that my civ would actually be interested in contributing to, assuming it's a civil exchange of ideas and history =P

I wasn't aware we were offering a choice to our victims now... Though after the invasion commences our victims may find themselves surprisingly lacking of the wish for a choice muhahaha...

I assume at this point you are playing around and joking, in which I say the Collective will find only empty space! D:
We could be good friends, plant people, as long as you chose to accept our religion into your borders, that is, of course, if you come across mine. My people don't really travel anywhere and if you are what you mentioned yourself to be (having natural magic prowess will eliminate the necessity of religious acceptance) just prior, then we could have an exchange of things, many things.

Oh, the religion would be accepted into the borders, but it probably(read: won't) be taken up or converted to by the native populace. They are a very passive and tolerant civ though, and in the fantasy version of them, they freely traded their goods to others around them in attempts to make friends with them. So yeah, tree-people ._.

*Collective leaders stop, turn and face the civilisation of sentient plants...* Oh, Oh, Oh! We don't have a race of sentient plants yet, lets get some *Redirects fleets as they all let out a rehearsed evil laugh*

Yeah. I don't have any interest in dealing with the Collective, for precisely that reason.
screw it, I dont have the energy to debug this BBCode

What's the problem? If you want, you can send it to me and I can decipher exactly what's wrong. I do love my HTML/BBCode :O
I can sense the MAC.

@Alfhedil as long as they have magical prowess.

They could, though I honestly have them more geared right now as a Hard Science-Fiction nation. Tweaks can always be applied, however :D

Like this? :P

Anyway, I wouldnt really mind but my people are not really that accepting of xenos :P

Nah, they're a bit more humanoid during their third stage of life =P
Doing some things with a sheet, in the meantime, anyone interested in having a medium-sized passive civ near them that is fully composed of sentient plants?
Hmm. That's somewhat disappointing. Either way, I have a concept I've been meaning to flesh out for a while, so I suppose I'll just look for the right neighbors :E
